I also don't remember details, but there was an upper-card angle in late 2002 that was designed for Matt Hardy that ended up going to Albert/A-Train/Matt Hyson/Giant Bernard/Tensai/all of those names that caused a big uproar, but that might have been more related to John Laurinitis than Heyman. Then again, John Laurinitis might have been the one who took the heat for a Vince decision, as was his job.

yeah I remember that. Matt Hardy was supposed to take out Rey to write him off TV for awhile but Vince nixed it and gave it to Albert because Albert was a big guy and he felt Matt was too small too push. People online were pissed. And yeah Johnny somehow took the heat for that one

Which is funny because in the end, Matt Hardy ended up being Rey's Wrestlemania opponent. In 2003, they were doing strong enough quarter hours against each other in their feud that they let them headline a Smackdown over summer, which did a strong rating.

TNA during 2012 was a joy to watch week to week. Solid booking with compelling character work that had me thinking that this company has finally got their act together.

 

Was this the year of the initial Manhattan Center run? I recall those shows getting a lot of buzz and love at the time that they came out.

This is something that has bugged me for years!!! With Rey facing Matt for the Cruiserweight Title at Mania, then Hardy being the one that took him out with an injury makes more sense and puts heat on that match! Of course, that might have meant some forward planning... correct me if I'm wrong, but the A-Train/Rey feud was basically never revisited was it? Did they ever actually have a one on one match when Rey had come back?

 

I remember buying the first Rey DVD that came out around this time, and on the brief documentary part, they had Rey going in for surgery on his knee (in his mask of course) with him cutting a promo on A-Train as the guy responsible as if it was some super heated big rivalry. God bless Rey and his kayfabing to try and get across a feud that I'm pretty sure had been well and truly dropped before the DVD had even been released.

WCW October 1990 to May 1991 Saturday Night is pretty good along with some Main Events sprinkled in as follow ups to angles and matches that are promoted. I am sure with the Dangerous Alliance coming up (Just getting to October), the television will continue to improve with all of them involved.

 

Probably a good place for me to say that Run The Gauntlet is one of my favorite TV booking ideas ever.

 

 

I adore WCW 1991 they had alot of good talents coming in with all the build up with the Dangerous Alliance. What a awesome faction to have Rude, Austin, Zbyszko, Eaton & Anderson.

 

Looking back to the end of 1991 its suprising to see just how many well known names they had back then.
