That is when Wahoo allegedly slapped the young man and stuck his head in a bicycle rack. The man’s friend tried to jump in and he was struck by Wahoo. Another witness saw Wahoo manhandling the two young men and hit him in the back of the head with his groceries. Police were called and Wahoo McDaniel was arrested and charged with assault. In fact, Earl Hebner refereed several tournament matches with no mention of his name, Dave Hebner's name or any name of a referee on a card." - Apr 11, 88 Observer "The Bret Hart-Shawn Michaels match may not end up taking place. After their tag match in St. Louis, there is a movement to keep Michaels and Bret apart due to Bret apparently being unhappy with Michaels's 'spotlight-stealing babyface push.' Nash apparently believes, and the booking does bear this out, that they are doing everything to make Wolfpac look bad and apparently Nash wasn't aware of what they were doing with Sting until it happened....Nash was supposed to do an interview on the show and refused when he found out Wolfpac was going to be whipping boys on the show, that the members wouldn't be helping each other when getting beaten on in angles making the unit look bogus (similar to the Horsemen last year)" - Aug 10, 98 Observer "WWF wrestlers speculated that McMahon flew to Columbus because Ramon was upset that his non-title Raw pinfall loss to Sid was being changed into a title match, thus Sid would be the new champion. Others speculated the only way the WWF figured they could sneak the belt off of Ramon without him putting up a stink was to bill the match originally as a non-title match and then afterward, when it aired, bill it as a title match. He wrestled with a patriotic outfit for a movie that was being filmed that night called 'Box of Moonlight.' The movie contains wrestling scenes and Landel is 'Uncle Sam' and Mosh's character is 'Fidel Castrator' (he came to the ring with big scissors in his hand) and Thrasher's character is 'Saddam Insane'. - Sept. 16, 95 Torch "Former long time promoter Paul Jones passed away on Sunday, 4/17 at the age of 86. Sadly when this was announced at Jerry Blackwell's TV taping in Marietta that evening, some fans cheered because they thought the Paul Jones they were referring to was the NWA manager." - May 2, 88 Observer "McMahon told various people that Jarrett called him an 'asshole' as they concluded their conversation Sunday night. McMahon told people he was dismayed because he, too, thought they had gotten along so great. As it turns out, McMahon told Jarrett that from now on Jarrett should speak up louder and let him know immediately if he has any problems with the way his career is handled by the WWF. Jarrett had admitted to being to timid in the past. As a rib, Jarrett basically said, "Okay, asshole, you'll know how I feel in the future." It was his way of showing McMahon he could be up front with him. Jarrett laughed immediately afterward and said it was a sarcastic comment. McMahon, who as one observer put it, 'wants badly to be one of the boys but doesn't understand how the boys talk to each other,' was offended by the comment and apparently took it wrong. Some time back, Goldberg had asked for those two days off and J.J. Dillon gave him the days off. Somehow, with the typical great communication internally, the promotions department never knew that and continued to advertise him.
