Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, August 15th

Rob Zakowski vs. Matt Quinlan

One of the many high points of PCW's 1990 rookie class has been young Rob Zakowski. While he is affiliated with the sinister Hexagon, the Michigan native has gathered a bit of a cult following for his daredevil style and death defying moves. Zakowski completely overwhelmed Quinlan before polishing him off with a spectacular Split Legged Moonsault. It looks like the sky is the limit for young Zakowski.

The Thrillseekers vs. The Midnight Express

In their long history with PCW, the Midnight Express have consistently been either champions or contenders for any titles they set their mind to. In spite of their unscrupulous tactics and Jim Cornette's big mouth, there is no denying that they are an incredibly skilled team who have taken on all challengers. Currently two thirds of the Pacific Trios champs, Lane and Eaton took on a duo of hungry young contenders in the Thrillseekers. The younger members of the Brigade were eager to show that they had what it takes, and gave a good accounting of themselves. There was no getting around the teamwork of the Express, taking down Storm with a double goozle. No doubt about it, the Midnight Express remain the benchmark for tag team excellence.

Pacific Television Title Match : Big Bully Busick © vs. Eddie Guerrero

At Deseret Storm, Dean Malenko pulled off a major upset by pinning dominant TV champ Big Bully Busick. Malenko will get his shot at the title at Phoenix Firestorm, but first Busick will face Malenko's partner, Eddie Guerrero. The second generation wrestler gave a concerted effort , keeping the beloved champion on his toes  with his bold offense. In the end, he got too bold, running straight into a devastating Spinebuster Slam. Time will tell if Busick can pull this off against the Iceman.

Steven Regal vs. John Tatum

Months ago, John Tatum brought Makhan Singh into PCW to terrorize all and sundry. The man determined to put a stop to his rampage is the English Lion himself, Steven Regal. Before he would face Singh at Phoenix Firestorm, Regal would square off with the Monster's Boss, Hollywood John. Tatum tried his usual tricks and treachery, but Regal was having none of it, flattening Tatum with a spinning forearm smash before forcing him to tap out to the Regal Stretch. No doubt about it, Regal is coming into Phoenix Firestorm at full speed.

Rick Martel vs. David Young

Rick Martel is gunning hard for Ted Dibiase and his Pacific Heavyweight Title. The Man Of Means certainly knows this could well be his toughest challenge yet, so he is sending the youngest member of the Terror Collective in as a road block. Young landed some hard shots and did all he could, but Martel had a considerable experience advantage and was riding incredible momentum. Martel was able to catch Young in a sunset flip and held him down for the three count. Martel is clearly primed and ready for his big title shot.

Chris Hamrick vs. Jimmy Del Ray

Hamrick continued his run of impressive performances, pinning the Gigolo with the Franken-Hamrick.

Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Buddy Rose

Ouellet's war with the Playboy Club rolled on. Taking on the Playboy himself, PCO had Rose lined up for the Cannonball when, once again, Tina Ferrari attempted to shove him off the turnbuckle. Ouellet caught her and proceeded to chase Ferrari around the ring before he was waylaid by Scotty The Body, who took him down with a Body Shot (DDT) on the concrete. Rose conveniently distracted the ref while all this was going on, stealing the win by countout.

Barry Windham vs. Booker T

Last week, Chris Adams took down one of the members of the Brigade. This week, Windham returned the favor, pinning League Of Gentlemen member Booker T following a Superplex. Fans are eagerly awaiting Windham and Adams finally going one on one.

Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) © vs. Jason Jett & David Cash

Young bounced back from his earlier loss by taking out Cash with the Spinebuster Slam , successfully defending the Golden State titles.

Bret Hart vs. Scotty The Body

The Hitman avenged his friend PCO's loss by battering Scotty from pillar to post, submitting him to the Sharpshooter.

Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ted Dibiase © vs. Dan Severn

Dibiase seemed to immediately regret signing the contract with Severn, who proved a particularly fearsome challenger. No matter what Dibiase threw at Severn, the leader of the Citadel kept raging back with weardown holds and suplexes. Dibiase tried to take the low road, pulling his loaded glove out of his trunks. His plans were thwarted by Severn kicking it out of his hands before he could put it on. Dibase desperately tried to pick it back up off the ground, but Severn savagely stomped hard on his hand. The Beast seemed to become truly enraged, stomping the hand of Means over and over again as Dibiase writhed in pain before Severn started pummeling him with his own loaded glove . This led to a DQ, but that was little comfort for Dibiase , who was clearly in agony as he left the ring . Not a great omen for his upcoming title defense against Rick Martel.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Olympic Auditorium , Los Angeles , on ESPN / TSN, August 22nd

Chris Hamrick vs. Sabu

Hamrick and Sabu are both young contenders on the rise on the west coast. Both of them are mustard keen on keeping their momentum going, resulting in an incredibly fast paced match. Both men landed some exciting moves until Sabu knocked Hamrick out of the ring with a spinning back heel kick, then followed up with a suicide dive. The two exchanged punches and kicks until the ref counted both men out of the ring. No doubt that round two will be forthcoming.

Dean Malenko vs. Bill Posely

In his time in Pacific Coast Wrestling, the Iceman has held many titles and shown himself to be a master of technical excellence. He may have a big challenge ahead of him with his match with TV champ Big Bully Busick, he handily dispatched Posely with a jarring Brainbuster. Malenko may well prove to be the toughest opposition for Busick's title reign.

The Thunder Dragons (Jushin Liger & Dragon Azul) vs. Art Barr & Rob Zakowski

Since their recent formation in PCW, the Peach Patrol have been fighting a war on two fronts, dueling with both the Playboy Club and the Hexagon. Peaches was a vocal presence at ringside for the Thunder Dragons, as was the Sinister Minister for his men. The two teams were very familiar with each other, so the result was a tense battle with each team matching each other , move for move. It ended up going to the Hexagon, with Barr pinning Dragon with a super quick Sunset Flip. No shame in that for the Thunder Dragons, as the Light Heavyweight champ is on top of his game.

Pacific Submission Title Match : Steve Blackman © vs. Eddie Guerrero

Another title holder, one who has quietly maintained a secure hold on his championship, is Submission champ Steve Blackman. No matter what challengers have come knocking at his door, the Living Weapon has readily dispatched them with a cool poise. Granted, former champ Guerrero certainly have Blackman plenty to deal with, but Steve was able to take down the fiery second generation wrestler with a legsweep before forcing him to tap out to a single leg crab in the middle of the ring. The Living Weapon continues to stand tall.

Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring

Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest is one of the legends of the West Coast … "Rowdy" Roddy Piper!

The crowd roars into cheers as "Scotland The Brave" plays over the arena PA and Hot Rod rushes out, eagerly slapping palms with the fans.

Coss : Roddy, the fans sure do love you, but one person who certainly doesn't is "Bulldozer" Brian Lee.

Piper : Donnie Boy, you ain't lyin'! That big hunk of machinery has been a tree that has been blocking my way for some time, and it is past due to come down. What is he, a California redwood ? A Florida Sycamore? Well I don't care, because I keep hidden in my kilt a big ole Scottish chopper, and I am ready to let it swing! (Coss looks confused) Hot Rod packs the biggest axe in the forest, and it won't be long before we hear a big TIMBERRRRRR! Lee, Phoenix Firestorm ,  that is where I am cutting you down to the ground!

Rick Martel vs. The Lightning Kid

The show closed off with Rick Martel on the verge of his biggest match since his return to the West Coast, challenging Ted Dibiase for the Pacific Heavyweight Title. Before that, he would face an incredibly game Lightning Kid. Kid proved to be quite a handful, and he did a credible job in his battle with the French Canadian legend, but Martel was ultimately able to prevail with a slingshot splash. Next stop : Phoenix Firestorm .

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, August 23rd

The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. The Midnight Express

The evening began with a battle between two of the top teams in PCW, and they certainly lived up to expectations. The Midnights thought they had the match when they went for a Double Goozle on the Eagle. Eagle dodged it with a sidestep, then slingshot Patriot into the ring with a clothesline on Lane to give the FoJ the victory. Can lightning strike a second time in their Golden State Tag Team Title shot against the Oregon Wrecking Crew? Time will tell.

The Thrillseekers vs. Harlem Heat

In the next tag team match, the Thrillseekers used cat and mouse tactics to keep one step ahead of their opponents, until Harlem Heat finally shut them down with a Heat Bomb on Storm.

Pierre Carl Ouellet & The Sons Of The Beach (The Sandman & Cannonball Grizz) vs. Scotty The Body & The Suicide Blondes

PCO joined forces with the Surfing Superstars in a wild match with the Playboy Club that ended when Grizz crushed Candido with a running splash.

Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Miracle Violence Combination © vs. Stormfront (Al Snow & Jerry Lynn)

Stormfront gave a considerable battle to the champs in an effort to once again be Pacific champions again, but the MVC were able to put them down when Dr. Death took out Snow with a Doctor Bomb.

Pacific Television Title Match : Big Bully Busick © vs. John Tatum

Tatum had plenty of tricks up his sleeve to try and get the better of Busick, but none of them were a match for the Spinebuster Slam, putting a stop to Hollywood John's TV title aspirations.

Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ted Dibiase © vs. Dan Severn

Dibiase was coming in with a bandaged hands courtesy of Severn's efforts last week. Severn was merciless in going after both that hand and arm, wrenching them five ways from Sunday. Dibiase was in considerable pain, and it took considerable guile to keep from giving the game away to the Beast. While Severn had Dibiase down going for an armlock, a desperation kick from Dibiase send him tumbling out of the ring. As the ref checked on Dibiase's hand, Steve Williams and Terry Gordy charged down to ringside and attacked Severn. Steve Blackman rushed out to back up his partner, but it still waylaid Severn long enough to get him counted out. A desperation ploy by Dibiase, but it still kept the title belt around his waist.

Bret Hart vs. Big Vito Lograsso

The double tough Italian Stallion fought off all efforts to get him the Sharpshooter, but the Hitman prevailed with a victory roll out of the corner.

California Title Match : Dennis Condrey © vs. Shinya Hashimoto

These two went the distance a few weeks ago in Kelowna. With Condrey facing a fierce challenge in a week from Shane Douglas, he was dead set on stopping Hashimoto once and for all. While the Japanese superstar did considerable damage, Condrey was able to pull out the win with a Full Nelson Facebuster.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Phoenix Firestorm from Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix,  Night One

The Thrillseekers vs. Coast 2 Coast (John Tatum & Jack Victory)

The first night of Phoenix Firestorm kicked off with a duel between the rookie team of the Thrillseekers and the veterans Coast 2 Coast. The former champs were dead set on making an example of the youngsters and showing that they were still relevant. They hit hard and brutally, looking to put the younger team in their place. But Jericho and Storm kept bouncing back, using enthusiasm and innovation to keep at the more experienced team. Jericho was able to dropkick Victory into a rollup from Storm, who held the Big V down for the three count and the win.

Barry Windham vs. Chris Adams

A serious rivalry has flared up between these two veterans, and the fans have been rapt in following their battles. Both men seemed matched in technical ability, with the power of Windham balanced by the vicious cunning of Adams. Windham was able to stay out of the reach of the Superkick, while Adams kept staying out of the way of the Lariat. Windham made one last desperation attempt at the Western Lariat, but Adams ducked down and caused Windham to face plant. When Windham staggered to his feet, Adams nailed him with the Superkick for the victory. Round One to Adams but something tells me that this is not the end of things.

David Cash & Jason Jett vs. Jimmy Del Ray & Billy Black

The next match had another rookie duo, the Money Train pairing, facing two of the Hollywood Heartbreakers. Del Ray, the most experienced wrestler in the ring, was the most sure of himself, but the other three fired away with considerable vigor. Jett was the one who wound up landing the Crash Landing (Somersault Slingshot Clothesline) on Black to score the pinfall. The younger generation keeps on delivering the goods.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Genichiro Tenryu

These two legends fought to a double countout a few weeks ago and the fans have been clamouring for the rematch. True to form, both men brought the fury to this match, unloading on each other of with big moves and powerful blows. When the bell rang 15 minutes later, signalling a time limit draw, the two were still going at it, and it took considerable effort from the referee to pry them loose from each other. It looks like this feud has only just begun.

Chris Hamrick vs. Rob Zakowski

The first night in Phoenix certainly has had considerable representation from the new class of PCW. Both Hamrick and Zakowski have considerable claim to be class Valedictorian, with several spectacular performances and wins since their debut. They put on an exciting bout until there was a disturbance at ringside. Sabu, still wanting a piece of Hamrick after their countout draw the week before, was at ringside, being held back by security. This distracted Hamrick enough to give an opening to Zakowski, who attempted a spin kick to Confederate Currency. Hamrick dodged at the last second and hit a standing Franken-Hamrick to just get the three count. A hard fought win for the fast rising young star.

Jerry Lynn vs. The Lightning Kid

The Lightning Kid has come off several impressive performances in high profile matches, and while he has fallen just shy of victory in those matches, they have gotten him a lot of notice. He would have an even bigger stage on which to make an impression, facing off with one half of Stormfront on one of PCW's premiere Mega Shows. The two had a thrilling battle, with the pendulum of momentum swinging back and forth. The end came when Lynn rushed Kid with a running cross body, only for Kid to catch him and turn it around for the Lightning Strike (Tombstone). It looks like the sky is the limit for the Lightning Kid.

Bret Hart & Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Buddy Rose & Scotty The Body

Bret and his good friend PCO have been in what seems like a never ending war with the Playboy Club, and are determined that this ends here. They had their work cut out for them, as the Playboy and the Body were on top of their game, using every dastardly trick in their voluminous book and having Tina Ferrari run interference for them . The Hitman and the Fighting French Canadian showed considerable grit, digging in to battle their nefarious opposition. They turned the tide for good when Pierre hit a dropkick on Scotty and sent him crashing into Tina , who was standing on the ring apron. With the distractions out of the way, Bret ran Rose through the Five Moves Of Doom before locking him in the Sharpshooter. It didn't take long for Rose to tap out and put an end to the match. A decisive victory for Hart and Ouellet, setting them free to move on to the next stage in their careers.

Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) vs. Harlem Heat

These two teams have been hungrily eyeing the top contenders spot for the Pacific Tag Team Titles. Iron & Steel have the support of the fans, but Harlem Heat have been nigh unstoppable. This was a power battle of two of the strongest teams on the west coast. There were several close calls on both sides throughout the match, but it took a crushing Spike Piledriver from Iron & Steel on Stevie Ray that gave the final count to Atlas and Cameron. You just know they now have their eyes set on the MVC.

California Title Match : Dennis Condrey © vs. Shane Douglas

Since winning the title from Steven Regal, Dennis Condrey has had an incredible California Title reign, fighting off a host of high caliber contenders. One consistent challenger has been young Shane Douglas, who has been getting closer and closer in each attempt. Douglas came at Condrey full bore this time out, and Loverboy Dennis was back pedaling for much of the match. No matter what Condrey did, Douglas came roaring back with a vengeance. In the end, that reckless style cost him, as Jim Cornette caught Douglas from the outside in an attempt to run the ropes with a well placed tennis racquet shot. Condrey then capitalized with an inverted DDT to maintain his hold on the title. A disappointing result for Douglas, but it goes to show that you can never count Condrey out for good.

Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) © vs. The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle)

Someone else who has kept an iron grip on their titles have been the Oregon Wrecking Crew. Albright and Young have defended their titles like their lives depended on it, brutally taking down all challengers and bringing luster to the Terror Collective. Tonight, though, they would be facing the All American duo of the Patriot and the Eagle. The masked men were riding on an incredible rush of momentum, fighting off their strong arm tactics with their own considerable athleticism and skill. The crowds spirits rose and fall with every change of momentum in the match. It seemed like it would all be for naught as Young whipped the Eagle into the ropes for the Spinebuster Slam. The Eagle came back off the ropes with a spectacular dropkick, and then Patriot came in with the Patriot Missile. Eagle was able to hold off Albright off long enough for the Patriot to get the three count, and the fans exploded in cheers. The Force Of July were now the Golden State Tag Team Champions, and here's hoping for a glorious reign.

Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Art Barr © vs. Too Cold Scorpio

The first night closed off with a Light Heavyweight Title match, and expectations were high. The Light Heavyweight division has turned into an eye catching feature for PCW, with many top level contenders and plentiful spectacular matches. This lived up to expectations, with both men breaking out sensational high flying moves and breathtaking action. It looked like it might be all over when Scorpio rolled out of the way of Barr's Frog Splash. It took long enough for Scorpio to get the cover that Barr was able to just barely get his foot on the ropes in time to break the three count. The match continued at the breakneck pace until Scorpio attempted a Victory Roll, only for Barr to block it half way through and hold Scorpio's shoulders to the mat for the three count. Barr kept his wits about him and definitely earned the win. On to Night Two.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Phoenix Firestorm from Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix,  Night Two

The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) vs. The Midnight Express

The second night of Phoenix Firestorm got off to a roaring start with a hotly contested tag team match. These two teams had an incredible feud last year, culminating with the Dreamboats taking the Golden State Tag Team Titles from the Midnights. Jim Cornette's team are now on something of an upswing, and the Dreamboats are keen to show their previous victory was not a fluke. The two teams battled quite fiercely, but the Midnight Express would not be denied, pinning Dreamer with the Rocket Launcher.

Shinya Hashimoto vs. Toshiaki Kawada

These two Japanese stars had been good friends up to the end of last year, but with Kawada joining up with the League Of Gentlemen and taking on a more vicious demeanour, it wasn't going take long before they would face each other on a major stage. They were two of the most hardened and disciplined competitors in PCW, and had a gritty war to come out on top. Hashimoto refused to take a back step to Kawada, and fought his way out of an attempt at the Kawada Crab. Despite Hashimoto's determination, Dangerous K caught him in the side of the head with a spinning knee strike, knocking him out to pull out the victory.

The Sons Of The Beach (Cannonball Grizz & The Sandman) vs. The Suicide Blondes

The SoBs have been riding a wave of success and fan support, and while the Blondes have managed to pull out some wins here and there, the Surfing Superstars have kept the upper hand through much of their feud. Candido and Spicolli used every underhanded tactic they could, but the Sons were dead set on coming out on top, with Grizz catching Spicolli with an avalanche to set him up for a flying legdrop from the Sandman. No doubt about it, the Sons Of The Beach are for real.

Fit Finlay vs. Big Vito Lograsso

Big Vito has had his fair share of both wins and losses, but has stood firm at Jim Cornette's side as his new bodyguard and quickly established a fearsome reputation in his short time in PCW. Tonight , he would face an opponent with a well earned reputation for toughness, the Belfast Bruiser himself. These two certainly gave a lot of bruises, hammering on each other with brutal hard shots, until Vito was able to catch Finlay off guard with the Sicilian Smash (running forearm smash to the face) to earn the hard fought victory. A huge win for the Italian Stallion.

Jushin Liger vs. Eddie Guerrero

The Light Heavyweight division has long been a major jewel in the crown of PCW, but the arrival of Jushin Liger has certainly lit a fire under the division as a whole. The masked man has inspired the other competitors to some of their best performances, and Eddie Guerrero was no exception. The second generation star gave it his all, and the two put on a breath taking match, but Liger was able to hit a lightning quick rana out of the corner to score the one two three. Liger has definitely worked his way to a shot at Art Barr and the Pacific Light Heavyweight Title.

Steven Regal vs. Makhan Singh

"The Monster" Makhan Singh was brought into PCW by Coast 2 Coast to be an equalizer for them, but he quickly targeted the English Lion to try to make an example of him. While he had some early success, Singh may well have come to regret his choice, as Regal has just gotten more resilient and more focused in response to this attack. Singh came in barrelling at Regal, but after a while, this just seemed to make Regal more and more mad. Regal finally had enough, exploding on Singh with merciless punches, kicks and forearm shots. A rolling elbow smash staggered Singh, and then, in an incredible display of strength and determination, Regal got the Monster up in the Regal-Plex and got the 3 count. The British Knight had finally slayed the Monster.

Al Snow vs. Sabu

The Bombay Madman has been rampaging through the opposition since his return to the west coast, but Al Snow has showed he is not about to knuckle under to Sabu. Sabu has kept unloading on Snow with his big moves, but Snow kept firing back with grit and determination. Snow kept in the game and the fans held out hopes that he might just pull out the win. Unfortunately, Snow got caught flat footed by a spinning back kick that knocked him to the mat. Sabu swiftly followed up with a slingshot legdrop, and that was that. A valiant effort from Snow, but Sabu will not be stopped.

Roddy Piper vs. Brian Lee

This was just a sheer, out and out dogfight. Both men have an absolute mad on for each other, and the ring could not contain the match. They brawled all around ringside, wrecking pretty much all of the furniture to be found there. Lee drew first blood, but it was long before Piper busted the open the big Bulldozer. Fair play to Lee, Piper threw everything at him but the proverbial kitchen sink, yet Lee continued to come after him. Piper finally went for the nuclear option, using his leather belt to throttle Lee until Lee went to his knees. Piper then locked in the Sleeper Hold, and for all Lee fought back, he ultimately passed out in the hold. Lee had put up a ferocious fight, but Hot Rod was standing tall.

Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Mike Awesome

After the previous battle, we move on to another blood feud. These two have been trading off wins, but this would be the ultimate showdown. This was a war of big moves, and there were several moments where it seemed like the two might actually break the ring. Little by little, they wore each other down, and every move seemed like it could be the last one. Awesome thought he would put Bigelow away with a bulldog headlock out of the corner, but Bam Bam threw him off, then followed up with a series of brutal headbutts. After a power slam, Bigelow went up top and hit the Nuclear Splash. One … two … THREE!!! The New Jersey Fireball had finally put down Awesome and scored his biggest victory yet.

Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Miracle Violence Combination © vs. Dan Severn & Steve Blackman

The MVC were coming into this match with a dual mission, both the defense of their titles and avenging their leader , Ted Dibiase, from his injuries at the hands of Severn. While they have been incredibly dominant as Pacific Tag Team Champs, they were facing two of the most rugged and determined competitors on the West Coast. The two sides tore into each other, with the power offense of the champs meeting its match in the submission skills of the Citadel. Whenever the MVC got some sort of momentum going, Severn and Blackman would find some way to shut it down and tie them up, with the champs just barely able to escape submission. They were finally able to explode out of the blocks and flatten Blackman with a double shoulder tackle, with Williams hitting a Doctor Bomb for the hard fought victory. They had emerged with their titles intact, but had paid a heavy price for it.

Pacific Television Title Match : Big Bully Busick © vs. Dean Malenko

The Big Bully has been a truly dominant champion since winning the TV title, facing all comers and standing tall. However, at Deseret Storm, Dean Malenko pulled off the seemingly impossible, pinning Busick in a Squadron Battle match. That earned the Iceman a well deserved shot at the title, and he was certainly going to make the most of it. Malenko's considerable technical expertise was certainly on display, as he targeted Busick's right knee, blasting it with a constant series of precision dropkicks. Even when Busick attempted his infamous spinebuster slam, it was blocked by a dropkick to the knee. He thought he had the champ softened up and attempted a brainbuster, but Busick dug in and blocked it. He then followed up with a reverse atomic drop, wisely using his good knee to do so. He then took down Malenko and wrapped him up in the Bully Bender. Malenko struggled, but he knew he was trapped, and tapped out. The Big Bully had prevailed and the fans couldn't be happier.

Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ted Dibiase © vs. Rick Martel

It was time for the Main Event. This would be one of the most hotly anticipated matches in PCW history. Dibiase has been defending his title and getting away with it, by hook or by crook. But Martel has been catching up with him, and ever since Martel pinned Dibiase at Deseret Storm, the champ has been doing everything he could to avoid him. He wouldn't be able to avoid him anymore. The French Canadian legend was out first, and looked like a million dollars, tanned and fit. Dibiase was out next, but the Man Of Means was not looking his best. His hand was bandaged from the damage that Dan Severn had recently done to it, and he was clearly in a lot of pain. Martel immediately smelled blood in the water, and went for Dibiase's hand and arm every chance he got, wrenching it in several painful armbars. Dibiase certainly knew all of the tricks to get out of it, but little by little, the challenger kept chipping away at him. Every little move, every dropkick, every attempt at the Quebec Crab seemed to be getting him closer and closer. He looked like he finally got it when he hit a reverse flying back body press on the champ, but unfortunately the ref got in the way and was knocked down. Martel went for the cover, but the ref was in no shape to make the count. Slapping the mat in frustration, Martel went over to try to revive the referee. While he did so, Dibiase reached into his trunks for his dreaded loaded glove. He struggled to cram it on over his bandaged hand, and was barely able to get it on, but when Martel came back over, he slugged him in the jaw with the glove. Martel went down like a shot, and Dibiase got the three count, but he was clearly in agony afterwards, grimacing and clutching his hand as he left the ring. He escaped with his title, but by the absolute thinnest of margins.

PCW has had a strong summer so far. Really solid events, and the most recent one is no exception. Ted Dibiase keeps being pushed to the limits, but he knows how to win in the process. The Force of July beating the OWC is a bit of an upset for me, but they've been very consistent, and their time was going to come eventually. Bam Bam seems primed for a big run here eventually. Art Barr vs Too Cold sounded like a tremendous match.
