You are doing an awesome job hyping up Score to Settle.

Just to point out how great that show is going to be... you got Sgt. Slaughter in a Boot Camp Match way down on the card just because the other matches might be even bigger.  Back in the day, Sgt in a Boot Camp match was Main Event in MSG!.  AWESOME EVENT COMING!

Great house shows as the fans keep getting their money worth at the same time you continue to push to the main show.  Like how Slinker attacked Sgt. to help keep the belt on Tully.  This is great booking as you hype two angles in one match.  You seemed able to do this often and with ease.  Great job

Footage is shown from last week as Tully Blanchard piledrives Mr. Olympia through a table!

Lance Russell: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of USWA wrestling here on the USA Network. Fans, we're only one week away from Scores to Settle and things are heating up. Tonight's main event will be Jerry Lawler teaming with the Grapplers to take on Adrian Adonis and the USWA tag champs Troy Graham and Austin Idol. We'll hear from the USWA champ Nick Bockwinkel and we'll see his upcoming challenger Carlos Colon in action. Right off the bat I want to bring out the Texas State Champ Tully Blanchard along with Baby Doll.

Mega boos as Tully arrogantly walks out smirking with Baby Doll at his side.

tully.jpg.93f8b29e0840b6a92c13994dd155a4ec.jpgdoll.jpg.6aaae5270da9110c0b1a1222b8793cec.jpg

Lance: I have to say that was a despicable act last week. I've received word that Mr. Olympia was recently released from the hospital and believe it or not he has vowed to be at Scores to Settle.

Tully: (takes off his sunglasses) Oh what a hero Mr. Olympia is. What a role model. The man is broken and I'm the one who broke him. He talks a big game but trust me come match time the man will be nowhere to be found. And just remember the stipulation, if he fails to win this here title then he's gone from the USWA! Olympia will go down as just another man I defeated and ran out of town. Save your dignity Mr. Olympia and stay home!

Lance: Boy I cant believe the arrogance of that man. Trust me, I don't think anything or anybody will keep Mr. Olympia from showing up at Scores to Settle. Fans let's go to the ring.

"The Technician" Mark Fleming vs. Trent Watkins

Fleming puts on a wrestling showcase as he works Watkins over. While Fleming is in control, Les Thornton comes out and scouts the match. Fleming remains focused and wins the match with a back drop followed by an Oklahoma roll.

Commercial Break

Lance: Before we get to our next match, I wanted to get in a word with Les Thornton. Les, we've seen your comments from the UK and it's obvious you were here doing some scouting.

Les: You're a very astute man Mr. Russell. Next week at Scores to Settle, the United States will witness what true wrestling is all about as Tony St. Clair makes his historic USWA debut. Mark Fleming has the wrestling credentials but they are nowhere near the level of Tony St. Clair and at Scores to Settle everybody will know why he's simply the best.

The Goldmine vs. Sam and Sean Smith

Goldmine tune up for their upcoming Central States tag team title shot at Scores to Settle. Grey executes a superplex on Sam then tags in Rogers. Rogers hits a double stomp from the middle ropes to get the pin.

Goldmine cut a promo and say they're more than ready for Bad Attitude and ready to be champs.

Commercial Break

"Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. Gary Williams

wendell.jpg.3f16e8749a246c99075a8ebc9316640c.jpg

Cooley is on fire tonight and finishes Williams off with the running bulldog! Cooley raises his fist to the fans as they cheer.

WHAM!

Johnny Rich hits the ring and clotheslines Cooley from behind! Carl Fergie cheers Rich on as Rich puts the boots to Cooley. Rich slams Cooley then goes to the top rope and hits a flying elbow drop! Fergie gets in the ring and picks up Cooley. Rich taunts Cooley then punches him in the  face. Fergie throws Cooley down and gives him a stomp before they head to the podium.

rich.jpg.01e6644ef20f5e33a3772ec1d8b14739.jpg

Lance: Yea you guys are some class acts, hitting Cooley from behind and attacking him.

Fergie: Shut up nerd! Wendell Cooley, that's just a sample of what you're going to get at Scores to Settle.

Rich: That's right! Cooley, boy I'm going to give you the whipp'n of your life and one that's long overdue!

Fergie: And as for the Goldmine, you think you're ready for Bad Attitude? Think again. Bad Attitude are coming to Scores to Settle to make a statement and that's exactly what they're going to do! Your going to be nothing but victims!

Commercial Break

"Timekeeper" Mike George vs. Ted Oates w/Johnny Valiant

Last week George defeated Jerry Oates and Valiant said lightning wouldn't strike twice. The bell rings but Valiant wont leave as he berates George. Ted tries to sneak up from behind but George turns around and pounds away on him then swings him into Valiant. Valiant tumbles through the ropes. George hoists up Ted and executes a running shoulder breaker 1..2..3!

Big Pop!

Commercial Break

Lance: (Laughing) Well once again things backfire on Johnny Valiant. Joining me now is the man who will face Valiant's other man Steve Regal at Scores to Settle, I'm talking about Bruce Hart.

Bruce: Lance, good to be here. From the moment I came to the USWA, Regal has been a thorn in my side. Well at...

Johnny Valiant storms out.

Valiant: Listen up punk! You're so lucky Mr. Electricity Steve Regal isn't here tonight because if he was he would knock you into next week! I'm so sick and tired of seeing your stupid face and come next week at Scores to Settle, Regal is going to smack that stupid face of yours silly.

Hart looks at the fans and laughs.

Valiant: Look at me when I'm talking to you!

Valiant slaps Hart!

Hart pauses then grabs Valiant by his collar and throws him down. Hart picks up Valiant and hurls him in the ring. Valiant is trying to crawl away but Hart drops an elbow on his back. Hart picks up Valiant and hits a backbreaker! Hart rolls Valiant over and applies the camel clutch! Valiant is screaming in pain as Hart wrenches away.

hart.jpg.af77fe0673024db1cff7fcb8f9237551.jpg

Commercial Break

Lance: Fans, Johnny Valiant had to be escorted out by our medical staff. I'm sure he regrets slapping Bruce Hart. Back to the ring.

Hercules Ayala w/Sonny King vs. Todd Rooney

ayala.jpg.c5833d3387eef59bc5dd45003733e725.jpgking.jpg.056737f7d9da124e4efe68c8a4783746.jpg

Ayala destroys Rooney before clamping on a bearhug then ramming him into the turnbuckles and finishing him off with a belly to belly suplex. The fans boo as King leads Ayala to the podium.

King: That punk Kerry Von Erich has felt the wrath and strength of Hercules Ayala. Von Erich! There's nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. At Scores to Settle you must face this man and Hercules Ayala will show no mercy. He's coming for your Central States title and he's coming to destroy you!

Commercial Break

The Legion vs. Coat of Arms

Big TV tag match as these teams have been involved in quite a feud.

Coat of Arms controls early as they execute a double suplex on Baron. Boris runs in but Brito puts him down with a fist and DellaSerra follows with a jumping knee drop. The Ref gets control. Brito swings Baron to the ropes and back drops him. Baron staggers up and Brito dropkicks him back and tags in DellaSerra. DellaSerra hits a back suplex 1..2..Boris kicks DellaSerra. Brito runs in but the Ref guides him back. Boris clotheslines DellaSerra. Baron tags in Boris. Boris works over DellaSerra then smashes his head on Baron's boot. Boris tags in Baron. Boris holds DellaSerra while Baron comes off the middle roes with a double axehandle to the head. Brito runs in but Boris and Baron nail him with a double clothesline. Boris hurls Brito out of the ring while Baron applies the claw to DellaSerra! DellaSerra sinks down to the mat and the Ref counts 1..2..3! Big win for the Legion.

baron.jpg.7061aa72609aff001998272cf636d314.jpgboris.jpg.4438f8c7d3d98944bd49d8979b2fe11a.jpg

Lance: The Legion get a strong win tonight. Right now I want to show you footage from what happened last week in Texas.

Footage is shown of Ron Slinker attacking Sgt. Slaughter during his match with Tully Blanchard. Slinker beats Slaughter up with a pair of nun chucks!

Lance: With me now is Ron Slinker. I wouldn't want to be you come next week at Scores to Settle when you face Slaughter in a boot camp match.

slinker.jpg.25812a1ac1e9b8a3cd1815e525e0f883.jpg

Slinker: Did you see how I beat him up? After that humiliating beating, I heard he's been demoted to Private. Slaughter will be no match for a martial arts expert like myself. I'm going to teach that brawler a serious lesson in combat. I'm the one with a score to settle and Slaughter is going to pay the price and regret ever messing with me. That's a painful fact!

Commercial Break

Carlos Colon vs. Gary Williams

colon.jpg.df5c80283fd3edef392a672cd9d7edea.jpg

Colon has the fans cheering as he body slams Williams then does a cartwheel. Colon climbs to the top rope. Williams staggers up and Colon finishes him off with a diving clothesline. The fans cheer as Colon heads to the podium.

Lance: Ok Carlos, next week at Scores to Settles, it's for all the marbles as you go up against Nick Bockwinkel for the USWA title. I know you're ready.

Colon: Yes I am Lance. I've trained my entire life for an opportunity like this.

Boos as Nick Bockwinkel strolls out wearing a suit and carrying the USWA title.

bockwinkel.jpg.dc4e52d5e7315d11b9084d15ece22014.jpg

Bock: Relax gentlemen, I'm out here to conduct myself like a class act champion should. Mr. Colon, you are a tremendous wrestler however you do not carry the class that a champion requires. You do not carry the intestinal fortitude that a champion requires. You simply do not meet the standards of a champion. I can check all those boxes. Therefore there is no way you can defeat me for this title. You took me to the limit last time and like I said you were just lucky. I took the match a little to lightly and lost focus. At Scores to Settle I will prove to the world why I am the greatest wrestler walking the face of the earth. You do not stand a chance but I want to offer my hand as a show of sportsmanship.

Bock extends his hand with a smile.

Colon looks to the booing fans then at Bock.

Bock: Don't be a fool. Prove me wrong and show me that you have an inkling of class.

Colon smiles and shakes Bock's hand. Bock's smile turns into a grimace.

The fans go wild as Colon pulls  Bock in then hurls him over his shoulder!!

Colon exits as Lance stares down at Bock.

Commercial Break

TV Main Event

Jerry "The King" Lawler and The Grapplers

vs.

Adrian Adonis and the USWA Tag Champs "Dream Machine" Troy Graham and "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol

This one is wild from the get go. Lawler goes right after Adonis and they brawl to the outside. Grappler 1 is punching away on Graham in the corner while Grappler 2 is hammering away on Idol in the opposite corner. The Grapplers swing Graham and Idol into each other. They stagger backwards and The Grapplers nail them with clotheslines. The Ref finally gets order.

Lawler and Adonis are in a furious exchange. Lawler gets the upper hand and knocks Adonis back. Lawler swings Adonis to the ropes and gives him a big back drop. Adonis bumps back and tags in Graham. Graham charges but Lawler hip tosses him over and tags in Grappler 2. Grappler 2 pounds away on Graham then tags in Grappler 1. They swing Graham to the ropes and put him down with a double back elbow drop. Grappler 1 covers but Idol runs in and drops a knee to the head. Grappler 2 charges and punches away on Idol. Adonis runs in but Lawler tackles him and they both go through the ropes. Pretty soon everybody is fighting. The Ref lets it go as the fans are out of their seats cheering. The Grapplers punch Graham and Idol through the ropes. Graham and Idol stagger up and around then grab their belts and head to the back as the fans give it to them. Lawler and Adonis continue to fight on the outside until Adonis breaks free and heads to the back. The Ref reaches the 10 count since Graham was the legal man.

Lance: Once again Graham and Idol take the easy way out but at Scores to Settle they wont be able to do that in the cage.

grapplers.jpg.408acf3d2d13235c4aedaf324fca1294.jpg

Grapplers and Lawler go to the podium.

Grapplers yell and say Graham and Idol wont survive the cage match and the titles will come back to where they rightfully belong.

Lawler: Adonis! You talk the talk but when it comes to fighting you just come up short. At Scores to Settle I'll finally get my hands on you one on one and brother my score will be settled!

Scores to Settle Preview

uswa.jpg.5d95a85fc62a22bdaa41dd96698d75cf.jpg

This will be a closed circuit event from Market Square Arena on March 14th, 1985

Central States Tag Team Title Bout

Bad Attitude (C) w/"Cool" Carl Fergie vs. The Goldmine

Bad Attitude (Matt Borne and Gary Young) along with manager "Cool" Carl Fergie have been successfully defending their titles since they won them in a tournament. The Goldmine (Jerry Grey and Goldie Rogers) defeated the Oates to earn this match.

Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair w/Les Thornton vs. "The Technician" Mark Fleming

Fleming was trained by the legendary Lou Thesz and has impressed fans with his wrestling skills. Les Thornton has been shown in pre recorded promos from the UK saying he's bringing in the best wrestler in the UK, Tony St. Clair.

"Bronco" Bruce Hart vs. "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal w/Johnny Valiant

This all started when Regal lost a TV title match to Rick Martel. An angry and frustrated Regal remained in the ring. Bruce Hart came out for his USWA debut and Regal attacked him and suplexed him on the concrete. These two have put on some solid matches. On the last TV show, Regal's manager Valiant slapped Hart and Hart beat him up and put him in the camel clutch. Valiant is questionable for Scores to Settle.

The Naturals (George Wells and Brian Adias) vs. The Movement (Shaska Whatley and Tiger Conway) w/Sonny KIng

Sonny KIng came in to help lead the Movement. They targeted Kerry Von Erich but Kerry's friends The Naturals got involved to even things up. The Movement showed how ruthless they could be when they viciously attacked and kicked out former member Roosevelt Jones. Things could of been a lot worse but the Naturals came out to stop the beating. These teams have been involved in some hate filled matches. Their match should be an explosive one at Scores to Settle.

"Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. "The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie

Cooley and Rich were to debut as a team but Rich was mysteriously absent during their debut. Rich finally showed up at the Central States Tag Tournament but ended up walking out on Cooley. Carl Fergie had gotten in the ear of Rich and the Memphis Mafia Man was born. Cooley and Rich have had some heated brawls on TV and have interfered in each other's matches. At Scores to Settle they will finally go at it one on one.

TV Title Bout-No Time Limit

Rick Martel (C) vs. Larry Zbyszko

These guys have wrestled to several 10 minute draws with Larry spending most of the time stalling. Larry says this was all strategy. At Scores to Settle the time limit has been waved.

Boot Camp Match

Sgt. Slaughter vs. "Captain" Ron Slinker

Slinker and all his henchmen did a number on Slaughter. Slaughter vowed to go through every man that attacked him until he got to Slinker. He did just that. Recently Slinker attacked Slaughter with nun chucks. Slinker says he will beat and humiliate Slaughter in the bootcamp match. Slaughter says Slinker's days are numbered and he's going to make that maggot suffer.

Texas State Title Bout

Tully Blanchard (C) w/Baby Doll vs. Mr. Olympia

These guys have been involved in a hated feud since Baby Doll interfered in the battle royal which allowed Tully to win the title. Tully has barley escaped with his title during their matches. Tully said Scores to Settle is in Indiana and he doesn't have to put up the Texas Title. Olympia said put the title on the line and if I lose I'll leave the USWA. Things went to another level when Tully piledrived Olympia through a table! Olympia vows to be at Scores to Settle. Tully is laughing at him and says he's all talk and when he doesn't show up he'll have to leave the USWA.

Central States Title Bout

Kerry Von Erich (C) vs. Hercules Ayala w/Sonny KIng

On a TV episode, Ayala joined the Movement and attacked Von Erich. Von Erich defended the title against Ayala and beat him with a cradle. Ayala gave Von Erich a vicious post match beating. Von Erich was out of action for a couple weeks. Ayala (The man who retired the Brass Knuckles title) has been steamrolling competition. Sonny King says Ayala is going to show Von Erich absolutely no mercy. Von Erich says he's going to settle this score and once again walk out with his title.

Grudge Match

Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Adrian Adonis

This one started when Lawler and Nick Bockwinkel were wrestling in a title unification match. Adonis shocked everyone by interfering and DDT Lawler on a chair! Adonis called Lawler, Jerry Jarrett's puppet and wouldn't allow Lawler to have yet another title run. A couple weeks later, Lawler returned and these two have been brawling every since. Adonis says Lawler is nothing but a gutter rat and he's going to beat him down like he's never been beaten before. Lawler says he's not just going to win the match but he will make Adonis pay.

USWA Tag Team Title Bout- Steel Cage!

"Dream Machine" Troy Graham and "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol (C) vs. The Grapplers

A few months ago, the Dream Machine tried to unmask Mr. Wrestling 2. The Grapplers stormed the ring and unmasked the Dream Machine! The Grapplers won the USWA tag titles but were attacked by the maskless Graham and Austin Idol. These teams wrestled for the titles. Graham wore his mask and loaded it with a foreign object to win the titles. In several rematches Graham and Idol have either walked out and lost by C.O. or got a cheap DQ. Jarrett announced at Scores to Settle the title bout will be in a cage. There will be nowhere to run or hide and there will defiantly be a clear winner.

USWA Title Bout

Nick Bockwinkel (C) vs. Carlos Colon

In there first match, these two put on a wrestling clinic and went to a classic 60 minute draw. Of course Jarrett immediately signed a rematch for Scores to Settle. Bock says Colon is the luckiest man alive and that draw was a fluke. Bock says he'll show the world why he's the greatest wrestling champion. Colon has been on his A game and is tuned up and ready for the rematch. Bock's arrogance is at an all time high but Colon has remained focused and is keeping his eyes on the prize.

I can't wait for Scores to Settle!  This show has been so well built, every match has a story behind it....as a fan I'm invested in the outcome of every match on the card.

Fun tv show this week.....I love that you've managed to inject some personality into Ron Slinker!  Great line about Sarge getting demoted after their upcoming match.

Heel Johnny Rich works better here than I've seen it done in the past in previous games.....Wendell Cooley is a great babyface whose perfect for this territory....it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this one!

Olympia is coming in hot after all that Blanchard has done to him....but will he be 100%?? More importantly, can he overcome the interference of Baby Doll?? I will be especially interested in this one!

Ayala is a strong challenger for Kerry after all that's gone down between them but the wild card here is Sonny King, I think he could make the difference here...unless Kerry has a plan.

The Grapplers better get it done in this cage match or else they may never have a better opportunity to get a fair shot at the champs.

Lawler vs. Adonis is going to be a classic!

Great preview to Score to Settle

I liked how you put the members of the tag team in parenthesis as I must admit that sometimes I forget!

I think the last 6 matches are main events anywhere in the country!

Looking forward to see The Naturals vs The Movement.  I think the Movement took over our game in 1984 and where the tag team of the year!  I am wondering if they continue on that roll or take a step back in 1985!  It must be fun to have all that control in your grasp!

Lance Russell: Hello everybody and welcome to this very special closed circuit event as the USWA brings you Scores to Settle. We have 12 big matches lined up and a lot of scores will be settled tonight. One big change tonight. The Central States title bout between Kerry Von Erich and Hercules Ayala is now a NO DQ Match. Apparently Sonny King wanted this and Kerry was more than happy to accept. I just hope he watches out for the Movement. Well fans, let's get things going!

Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair w/Les Thornton vs. "The Technician" Mark Fleming

fleming.jpg.67abfb1cbef429450f2538c9cde29453.jpg

Fleming is in the ring as Les Thornton comes to the ring alone. Les grabs the mic.

les.jpg.0a23e8ec29398a19b807c6fa6cf3b761.jpg

"Tonight will be a historic evening indeed because all of you lowly peons and untouchables will witness United Kingdom's best. So please allow me to introduce to you, Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair"

Boos reign down as St. Clair arrogantly walks to the ring wearing a sparkling United Kingdom colored robe.

The match begins with some solid chain wrestling. St. Clair starts to take control but Fleming comes back and shows off some serious wrestling skills. Fleming turns it up with a back drop and almost shocks St. Clair with an Oklahoma roll. Thornton tells St. Clair to go to work. Fleming swings St. Clair to the ropes and misses a clothesline, St. Clair swings back, does a somersault and nails Fleming in the mid section with a diving headbutt. St. Clair executes a gut wrench suplex then follows with a delayed vertical suplex. St. Clair goes to the top rope and crashes down with a flying leg drop! St. Clair picks up Fleming and executes a butterfly suplex for the 1..2..3! The fans boo as St. Clair picks up Fleming and vertical suplexes him for the fun of it.

More boos as Thornton raises St. Clair's arm in victory as St. Clair smiles and bows.

Winner of the Match- Tony St. Clair

Central States Tag Team Title Bout

Bad Attitude (C) w/ "Cool" Carl Fergie vs. The Goldmine

The bell rings and Bad Attitude charge with fire! The Goldmine don't know what hit them. Borne and Young beat down Grey then swing Rogers to the ropes and hit a double flapjack. They pick up Grey and execute a double rib breaker 1..2..3!!!! It's over! Fergie runs in and hands Bad Attitude the titles. Bad Attitude predicted they would make a statement tonight and they obviously did.

Winners and still Central States Tag Team Champs- Bad Attitude

"Bronco" Bruce Hart vs. "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal

hart.jpg.af77fe0673024db1cff7fcb8f9237551.jpg

After what happened last week on TV at the hands of Bruce Hart, Regal's manager Johnny Valiant is not here tonight.

This throws Regal off a bit as Hart goes to work and dominates the early minutes with hip tosses, dropkicks, back drops and punches. The tide turns when Hart swings Regal into the corner and charges in but Regal puts his boot up. Regal comes back with a body slam and elbow drop but cant put Hart away. Regal goes for a suplex but Hart blocks it and suplexes Regal. Hart starts to fire up but there's a commotion in the crowd.

Lance: Wait a minute that's Chick Donovan! What's he doing here?

chick.jpg.c5d247e42cb1ea4e0a508ccb5cf7819b.jpg

Chick struts around the ring as Hart eyes him closely. Hart works over Regal then swings him to the ropes but Regal reverses it, as Hart swings off, Chick trips him. Hart staggers into a Northern Lights Suplex by Regal 1..2..3!

Regal staggers up with a smile and raises his arms. Hart realizes what happened, gets up and nails Regal from behind but Chick gets in the ring and blasts Hart. Chick and Regal put the boots to Hart then double slam him down. They hurl Hart out of the ring and follow. They pick Hart up and double suplex him on the concrete. The fans boo as Regal and Chick stomp on Hart before leaving.

regal.jpg.2ff6d726c52458291650af6b018ca399.jpg

Winner of the Match- Steve Regal

TV Title Bout- No Time Limit

Rick Martel (C) vs. Larry Zbyszko

martel.jpg.8791508a0ed5421c50669b83b91624b0.jpg789070312_larryz.jpg.6903c6fe9fbdec655cf4483b5d4fb3a9.jpg

Of course since there's no time limit, Larry once again goes to his stalling tactics to frustrate Martel. This only makes the fans and Martel mad. Larry is on the outside yelling at the Ref and says he'll get in the ring when he's ready. While this is going on, Martel goes to the outside and grabs Larry from behind. The fans go nuts as Martel pounds away on Larry and hurls him back in the ring. Martel swings Larry to the ropes and hits a beautiful high dropkick 1..2..Larry gets his foot on the rope. Martel continues to work Larry over until Larry kills the momentum with a low mule kick. Larry regroups and slams Martel down then grabs the top rope and drops several knees then chokes Martel with his boot. Larry picks Martel up and chokes him on the top rope then snaps him back. Larry swings Martel to the ropes and puts him down with a spin kick to the gut. Larry holds his arms out as the fans boo. Larry picks up Martel and attempts a swinging neckbreaker but Martel punches away then back drops him over. Larry staggers up and Martel dropkicks him down. Larry staggers up and Martel scoop slams him then swings off the ropes and hits a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Martel body slams Larry then goes to the top rope and comes down with a knee drop but Larry moves. Both men are down.

Larry grabs the ropes and pulls himself up. Martel staggers up but Larry rakes the eyes, swings him to the ropes and flips Martel over with a knee to the mid section. Larry snapmares Martel over, clamps on a chinlock and delivers several knees to the back. Larry picks up Martel and executes the swinging neckbreaker 1..2..Martel gets his foot on the rope! Larry throws a tantrum and berates the Ref. Larry spends to much time arguing. Martel is slowly rising. Larry turns around and goes after Martel but Martel grabs his head and smashes it on the turnbuckle 10 times as the fans count along. Martel swings Larry to the opposite corner and follows with a running clothesline. Martel swings Larry to the other corner and follows with another clothesline. Martel monkey flips Larry over then goes out to the apron and executes the slingshot splash 1..2..3!!! Huge pop!

Winner of the match and still TV Champion- Rick Martel

The Naturals vs. The Movement w/Sonny King

adias.jpg.f39f0f075c417a36da18c252f6afa4c7.jpgwells.jpg.d20cce11fdd9ab28b968e62f7f8b9638.jpg  tones.jpg.fddd1bd02bc46ab15b9285b6af90d46e.jpg

Score to Settle did not disappoint!

The pictures really brought this show to life.

Thought it was really well booked as some angles ended but so many new and exciting ones are just getting started that the USWA's next TV show is a Must See.

The fans had a bit of a rough patch in the middle of the card with Kerry and Lawler both going down but then they got some big wins toward the end to leave happy.  The Bob Armstrong appearance was the biggest and best surprise of the night for me!  Awesome excitement in that one!

Mean Mike stars his time in the USWA by going after Lawler!  He might be in for it down the road!

Not sure what it is about Wendell Cooley and Johnny Rich but I AM ALL IN!  Love the Southern Style of Rastlin!

Glad the Movement continues!

Sarge in a Boot Camp Match... best odds in Vegas!  Great build to this one with the perfect finish

Looking forward to the Donovan's explanation for his actions... is he joining forces with Regal or after Hart or both?

Like the opener as it gave some true wrestling fans a match between some pretty good in-ring technicians and for those who just wanted to see brawl after brawl, they had time to get to their seats!

AWESOME SHOW!

As always you really delivered a great show after the tremendous build up!

I like that the show wasn't predictable, yet it didn't defy logic just for shock value...a lot of finishes I wouldn't have called but yet when they happened I was like "holy crap, I didn't see that coming!"

I was happy to see Adonis get the win over Lawler which raises his stock even more in our little world here, same for Hercules Ayala, even with the interference from Miller....it's still a huge win!

Happy to see Cooley prevail here but I'm sure he hasn't heard the last of Johnny Rich!

Anytime you can paint the Grapplers as huge babyfaces, you've done some strong booking...good job on this angle!

Highlights of Scores to Settle is shown to Def Leppard's Rock Rock til you Drop.

Lance Russell: Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting episode of USWA wrestling here on the USA Network. So much to talk about. Scores to Settle is in the books and right off the bat I want to bring out the President Jerry Jarrett. Jerry, go ahead.

Jarrett: Thank you Lance and I want to thank all the fans for making Scores to Settle a tremendous success. As we all saw, Nick Bockwinkel retained the USWA championship against Carlos Colon in one heck of a match. So, who will be his next opponent?

BOOS as Tully Blanchard and Baby Doll rush to the podium.

Tully: Wait just a minute! I'm out here to get back what's rightfully mine, the Texas Title! Olympia wasn't in that match so he better be gone and that cheating coward Bob Armstrong better come out and give me back my title!

Massive cheers as Bob Armstrong comes out smiling with the Texas Title around his waist.

Jarrett: Ok, hold on gentlemen. I was about to make this announcement as it concerns both of you. Mr. Olympia was not able to compete in that match so as stipulated he has left the USWA.

Tully: Yea, that's right! I sent that masked idiot packing. Now tell this idiot to give me my title back.

Jarrett: Just calm down Tully. I pondered this all week and have decided to retire the Texas Title. However, the two of you will wrestle this weekend at the Sam Houston Coliseum and the winner will become the number one contender to the USWA Championship.

Tully: Why am I not surprised. You would rather retire the Texas Title than give it back to me. Whatever, because after I beat this over the hill second rate has been then it's on to bigger things and mark my words, the USWA title will be around my waist!

Tully and Baby Doll storm out.

Armstrong: (smiles then hands over the title to Jarrett) It's great to be here in the USWA and I'm thankful for this tremendous opportunity. Tully, regardless of what you think Bullet Bob Armstrong still has a lot of fuel in the tank so I'll see you in Houston.

Lance: Ok, big announcement as the Texas Title is retired and Tully Blanchard will take on Bob Armstrong for a shot at the USWA Title. Fans let's get to the ring.

The Naturals vs. Clint Curtis and Trent Watkins

After their loss to the Movement at Scores to Settle ( thanks to interference by Sonny King), the Naturals are looking to bounce back quick and they do that tonight. Wells swings Curtis to the ropes and puts him down with a running tackle then tags in Adias. Adias hoists Curtis up and gives him an airplane spin and slams him down for the pin!

Naturals cut a promo and say they want another crack at the Movement!

Commercial Break

Art Crews vs. Gary Williams

Crews works over Williams then hits a backbreaker and follows with a Boston Crab to get the submission victory. Crews heads to the podium.

Lance: Welcome back to the USWA, I remember the last time you were here, you always predicted how long it would take to win your matches.

Crews: I have to admit I was very arrogant and during my time away I straightened up my act. I'm back because I got a call from a man who used to do the same thing. We had a long talk and well let me go ahead and introduce my new tag team partner, the original timekeeper Mike George.

Mike comes to the podium.

Mike: I see something special in Art Crews and I think we could do some great things as a team, so Art welcome to the club.

Mike.jpg.62eca3fd399acbcc92b2cd83cc982258.jpgcrews.jpg.0cdb9f05097987386da8d220da0f1d9c.jpg

The two shake hands as the fans give them a cheer.

Commercial Break

Lance: Fans at Scores to Settle, Hercules Ayala defeated Kerry Von Erich in a NO DQ match to become the Central States Champ. Lot's of controversy as Mean Mike Miller interfered with a chair. I want to bring out Sonny King along with Hercules Ayala to get to the bottom of all this.

King: (He has to pause because the boos are so loud) Listen up! We did nothing wrong as a matter of fact I'm a genius and my plan worked to perfection. That big dumb fool Von Erich agreed to the match and oh yea everybody's eyes were on the Movement even those 2 stooges the Naturals. So what did I do? I went out and hired an assassin and that was Mean Mike Miller baby! This aint no secret so Mike come on out and get what's com'n to you.

Boos as Miller comes out yelling at the fans. King smiles and hands him a briefcase. Miller opens it and looks at all the cash, smiles and shakes hands with Sonny.

Miller: It was my pleasure Mr. King and if that punk Von Erich is stupid enough to return I'll be more than happy to beat him up again, free of charge.

Miller exits.

King: Now! Standing here is the most dominant and ruthless wrestler in the USWA, the Central States Champ Hercules Ayala.

Ayala: One by one they've all fallen to my mighty hands! There's no one who can beat me! No one!

King: Lance, the Movement is stronger than ever and it's only a matter of time before we get some tag team gold and then we will rule the USWA!

Commercial Break

A vignette is shown of a Polynesian wrestler participating in an island ritual.

"The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi is coming to the USWA

afi.jpg.69cc7f3d688142675d8d42ccf73ac06a.jpg

Lance: Looking forward to the USWA debut of Siva Afi. Speaking of USWA debuts, let's go to the ring.

"Bulldog" Bob Brown vs. Todd Rooney

bulldog.png.646b48468f6dab5a5a87dfe463332990.png

Brown just mauls Rooney, slams him down a few times then hits a standing leg drop for the easy pin.

Lance: Bulldog Bob Brown sure looks like he's ready for the competition here. Right now I want to bring out another wrestler who will be making his debut soon. This man has quite the reputation, Crippler Rip Oliver.

oliver.jpg.9d1faa45f0396412d6568b916f64251b.jpg

Oliver: Lance, everybody tells me the USWA has the roughest competition, well that's exactly why I'm here.

Bob Brown comes to the podium.

Bob: What the hell is going on around here? I dominate my match and this clown gets an interview after my match? They call you the crippler? What are you a tough guy? You don't look so tough to me.

Brown pushes Oliver. Oliver comes back with a punch and these two have a heated brawl as Lance gets out of there quick. They're brawling all around the ring until prelim wrestlers come out to break them up.

Commercial Break

The Fabulous Blondes (Steve Regal and Chick Donovan) vs. Sam and Sean Smith

Donovan appeared at Scores to Settle and assisted Regal in a victory over Bruce Hart. They gave Bruce quite a post match beating.

The Fabulous Blondes are in sync tonight as they show off their skills. The Blondes win the match with a double suplex. Boos as they head to the podium.

Regal: Are we meant for each other or what? Just look at us.

Chick: Tell them Steve. Bruce Hart sure found that out.

Lance: Glad you mentioned him because we have a pre recorded statement from Bruce.

Bruce: Oh I'm sure both Regal and Donovan are having a great laugh at my expense. Well boys I have a big surprise for you. Next week you two morons will face myself and my new partner and trust me I'll have the last laugh.

Commercial Break

Lance: Fans, next week the USWA Champ Nick Bockwinkel will be here to address his new number one contender either Tully Blanchard or Bob Armstrong...

Boos as Ron Slinker comes out with a bruised up face and wearing a neck brace.

Slinker: Lance, as you can see I'm hurt and any normal man wouldn't of been able to walk out here. But as I've told you I'm not any normal man and that's thanks to my extensive martial arts training. That training is what ran a scared and frightened Sgt. Slaughter out of town.

Lance: Wait a minute, hold on, Slaughter decisively won that boot camp match. Him leaving was only because his contract was fulfilled.

Slinker: Wake up! (Holds his neck and grimaces) Who's the one standing here? I beat him so bad he left town with his head hung low in shame. Now that I terminated Sgt. Slaughter I'm going to heel up and then the sky's the limit for Captain Ron Slinker. You see there was no way a Sargent would beat a Captain, just no way.

Lance: That man is certainly delusional. Back to the ring.

USWA Tag Team Champs The Grapplers vs. Vic Dutro and William Hillman

The Grapplers are coming off their huge cage match victory over Troy Graham and Austin Idol at Scores to Settle. They totally squash their opponents and the finish sees Grappler 1 hoist up Dutro as Grappler 2 hits the diving clothesline from the middle ropes. The Grapplers hold their titles high then head to the podium.

Lance: Congratulations on regaining the USWA titles. I know that had to be a very satisfying victory.

Grappler1: It sure was! It felt good beating Graham and Idol up and grinding their faces on that cage. These here titles are back where they belong.

Grappler 2: Every team here in the USWA better take notice because we're the best and we're going to hold these belts for a long long time!

WHAM!!!!

The Grapplers are attacked by the Central States Tag Champs Bad Attitude! Borne and Young put the boots to them while Carl Fergie cheers them on. They hit a double rib breaker on Grappler 1 then do the same to Grappler 2. As the Grapplers are laid out, Carl Fergie grabs Lance's mic.

Fergie: I told you Bad Attitude was going to make a statement and brother they just did! It makes us sick to hear the Grapplers say they're the toughest and best team. Bad Attitude is the best team in wrestling and now they want to hold all the tag titles!

Borne and Young pick up the USWA titles and hold them up along with their Central States titles.

Commercial Break

Lance: Well I wasn't expecting that. The Grapplers were able to walk out on their own. I wouldn't want to be Fergie and Bad Attitude. Whoa so much happening. Switching gears, at Scores to Settle, Adrian Adonis defeated Jerry Lawler with help from a powdered substance. I want to take you to pre comments from Jerry Lawler.

Lawler: (one eye bandaged) I should of known better. Of course a coward like Adonis didn't have the guts to fight fair but that's ok because you only got me mad. You want to fight dirty? Hey I can do that. This isn't over Adonis and you and I are going to fight again but this time I'm throwing the rulebook out!

Adrian Adonis vs. Roy Glader

Adonis gets massive heat as he works Glader over. Adonis eventually finishes off Glader with the DDT. More boos as he heads to the podium.

Adonis: Awwww poor Jerry Lawler. What a crybaby. I give him the beating of his life and put him down 1,2,3 with the DDT and of course he's gotta cry about it. Lawler! You want to go again? Fine by me because next time I'm going to DDT your head through the mat!

Lance: Obviously still a lot of bad blood between those two. Our main event when we come back and the winner will get a TV title shot in two weeks.

Commercial Break

Gino Brito Jr. vs. Boris Zhukov

brito.jpg.8abf5075b90fbf24528b06dd3d8303e8.jpgboris.jpg.4438f8c7d3d98944bd49d8979b2fe11a.jpg

winner gets a TV title shot in 2 weeks

Competitive match as both men want that TV title shot. Boris takes control with an eye rake and slams Brito down. Boris grabs the top rope and chokes Brito with his boot then rakes it across his face. Boris holds on to the rope and drops several knees. Boris picks Brito up and snaps his head on the top rope. Boris hops on the middle ropes and comes down with an axehandle to the back 1..2..Brito gets his foot on the rope. A frustrated Boris chokes away on Brito breaking at the Ref's count of 4. Boris swings Brito into the corner and charges in but Brito moves.

Brito regroups and punches away on Boris, swings him to the ropes and back drops him. Boris staggers up and Brito mows him down with a forearm blast. Brito hops on the middle ropes. Boris staggers up and Brito nails him with a diving forearm. DING DING DING!

The match is a draw.

Jerry Jarrett comes out and says there's still time left so this match will continue.

Boris gets up and nails Brito from behind with a knee to the back and follows with a gut wrench suplex 1..2..Brito gets his shoulder up. Boris yells at the Ref. Boris picks up Brito, swings him to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Brito stops and cradles Boris 1..2..3!

Good Pop!

Lance: Ok, Gino Brito will face Rick Martel for the TV title in 2 weeks. Fans, next week Nick Bockwinkel will be here. Tony St. Clair will be in action as well as Mike Miller, Carlos Colon and The Movement. Bruce Hart and his mystery partner will face The Fabulous Blondes and in the main event Wendell Cooley will face his current rival Johnny Rich. Should be a good show. See you all next week.

You've always had a quite a knack with coming up with tag teams....I like the pairing of Regal and Donavan....they should be a perfect fit here in the USWA.

I hope that's a LOT of cash in the case...or else Miller regret agreeing to fight Kerry for free when he comes back looking for revenge!

Speaking of tag teams, The Grapplers didn't get long to bask in their victory over Idol/Graham as Bad Attitude are coming for the belts now, this should a great match up!

Adonis got his hand raised at Scores to Settle but he better have eyes in the back of his head because the King will not take this loss lightly...especially when's stuck wearing an eye patch now.

I look forward to seeing what the Crippler Rip Oliver brings to the table here....I have a feeling Bulldog Bob Brown may regret starting trouble with him right out of the gate

I have always loved the fact that you utilize everyone on your roster to the utmost potential. You literally find a spot for everyone, and it's what makes your shows so great. You also manage to give the company this feeling that I could be watching a glitzy, glamour multi camera production on national tv, or this could be a one camera, 50 fans warehouse shoot in Memphis somewhere, and I absolutely mean that as a compliment.

I truly appreciate you carrying on The Movement, the Central States Title, and Nick Bockwinkel's reign. I loved writing Bockwinkel and you unifying the belts and having him continue on is awesome. The Movement is probably me best contribution to this game, and it's awesome that they are still fighting the power.

Scores to Settle was a fantastic all around show, and I very much look forward to seeing where things head next. Rip Oliver is a fantastic addition to the company, a potential Tully/Bockwinkel feud has me excited, and an influx of Armstrongs is never a bad thing!

Keep up the awesome work man!!

Nice job moving on from Score to Settle as we get some new angles going.  Armstrong vs Tully is a great Southern Wrestling Match... Can't wait for that one.

The Naturals seem to be working on a rematch and Art Crews seems to be working on being a better person.  We will see how these two things work out.

WOW... I wonder if Jarrett will respond to Sonny King paying Mike Miller about being paid to go after Kerry VonErich

Sivi Afi... Bob Brown.... Rip Oliver... the midcard is looking like it is heating up again.

Slinker seems to have some short term memory issues in regards to who got beat between he and Sarge

Looks like a Title vs Title feud is coming to the Tag Division!

Like how you seem to pace everything... the TV title is two weeks away.... next week Bock will talk....  I need to learn this skill as I rush things all the time/  Great show

USWA @ The Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston TX 3-22-85

uswa.jpg.5d95a85fc62a22bdaa41dd96698d75cf.jpg

"Chief" Joe Lightfoot vs. "The Patrolman" Dale Veasey

Both men have just arrived to the USWA and want to make an impression. Solid back and forth match but 10 minutes isn't enough time as they battle to a draw.

"The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie vs. Art Crews w/Mike George

Crews gives Rich a run for his money as Mike George keeps his eyes on Fergie. Crews is in control and Fergie gets on the apron. George runs over, yanks Fergie down and punches him back. While that is going on, Rich nails Crews with a lowblow and rolls him up with a handful of tights 1..2..3!

Winner of the Match- Johnny Rich

"Outlaw" Ron Bass vs. "The San Juan Saint" Johnny Rivera

Another match between 2 USWA arrivals. Bass has one tough reputation in wrestling while Rivera is coming off a hot run in Puerto Rico. Rivera surprises Bass a few times as he gets several near falls. Rivera goes for a flying press but Bass catches him and hits a running powerslam for the win.

Winner of the Match- Ron Bass

The Naturals vs. The Movement w/Sonny King

Another intense and wild match between these feuding teams. The action is at a furious pace with several pier six brawls breaking out. King tries to interfere but Wells dives at him through the ropes and they both tumble to the outside. This allows Whatley and Conway to double team Adias and hit the double Russian Leg Sweep for the win.

Winners of the Match- The Movement

"Crippler" Rip Oliver vs. "Bulldog" Bob Brown

These guys had quite the brawl on TV when Brown interrupted Oliver's interview. This match is basically a fist fight as they take turns pounding on each other. Brown breaks every rule in the book but cant put Oliver away. The finish comes when Brown misses a clothesline and Oliver swings back with a flying forearm smash for the pin.

Winner of the Match- Rip Oliver

Central States Title Bout

Hercules Ayala (C) vs. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley

Sonny King is still hurting in the back so Ayala is on his own. Cooley takes advantage as he works Ayala over with hip tosses, dropkicks and back drops. Ayala turns the tide with a vicious clothesline and goes to work with slams, punches and stomps. The fans fire Cooley up as he fires away with punches. Cooley is on fire as he unloads on Ayala. Cooley swings Ayala into the corner but the Ref slips and gets plowed over by Ayala. Cooley swings off the ropes and hits the running bulldog! As he covers he sees the Ref is down. Boos as Johnny Rich runs down the aisle and climbs the top rope. He comes down with a double axehandle to the back of Cooley's head then runs out of the ring. Ayala staggers up, picks Cooley up in a bear hug, rams him into the turnbuckles and belly to belly suplexes him over. The Ref crawls over and counts 1..2..3!

Winner of the match and still Central States Champ- Hercules Ayala

USWA Tag Team Title Bout

The Grapplers (C) vs. The Central States Tag Champs Bad Attitude w/"Cool" Carl Fergie

Bad Attitude attacked the Grapplers on TV and the Grapplers wasted no time in getting this match signed. Very intense and hard hitting match. Both teams end up fighting on the outside and even Fergie takes a bump. The Ref has no choice but to count both teams out. The bell is ringing but they just keep fighting.

Official Ruling- A Double C.O. - The Grapplers are still USWA Tag Champs

Winner gets a USWA title shot

Tully Blanchard w/Baby Doll vs. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong

Jerry Jarrett retired the Texas Title but announced these 2 would wrestle for a shot at the USWA Title. Tully and Baby Doll do their best to distract Armstrong but it doesn't work. Armstrong is all over Tully and dominates the early minutes. Armstrong swings Tully into the corner and charges in but Tully lifts his knees and takes over. Tully chokes Armstrong on the ropes. The Ref pushes him back which allows Baby Doll to slap Armstrong. Tully slams Armstrong and drops several consecutive elbows 1..2..Kick Out. Tully hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a forearm drop 1..2..Kick Out. Tully and Baby Doll berate the Ref. Tully swings Armstrong to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Armstrong kicks him.

The fans are cheering as Armstrong regroups and pumps his fists. Tully staggers up but Armstrong unloads with punches, swings him to the ropes and back drops him. Armstrong hits a swinging neckbreaker. Baby Doll gets in the ring! The Ref runs over and is yelling at her to get out. Armstrong looks over at Baby Doll and the Ref. Baby Doll is slowly backing up as the Ref is guiding her back. Armstrong gets up and walks over. Baby Doll gets out on the apron and takes a swing at Armstrong but Armstrong grabs her arm. Tully staggers up and nails Armstrong from behind with a high knee. Tully looks at Baby Doll to see if she's ok. Tully then berates the Ref. Tully picks up Armstrong and goes for the Sling Shot Suplex but Armstrong cradles Tully 1..2 (The Ref doesn't notice they're in the ropes)..3!!

Huge Pop!

Baby Doll is furious and is yelling at the Ref and pointing to the ropes. The Ref is holding up his hands then raises Armstrong's arm in victory as the crowd roars.

WHAM!!!!

battens.jpg.893cb17d551a149ea3ddc5a84c84d929.jpg

Armstrong is nailed by 2 wrestlers in street clothes! They put the boots to him then double slam him down. Tully goes over as they pick Armstrong up and hold him. Tully slaps Armstrong then hits the Sling Shot Suplex! The 2 men stomp on Armstrong and pick him up again as Tully grabs Armstrong and hits another Sling Shot Suplex! The 2 men throw Armstrong out of the ring. They follow and pick Armstrong up and slam him on the announcer's table. Security rushes out. Tully, Baby Doll and the 2 men leave as the fans pelt them with trash.

Winner of the match and will receive a USWA Title Match- Bob Armstrong

Nice job giving a real balanced card with a bit of everything for the fans to enjoy.

Crews mot be so happy as a babyface if he keeps losing

I like that you traded Black Bart.  Even though he and Bass were not a team here in the USWA, it will stop you from doing that down the road.  I think we have all boxed these two in even though they had some great runs as singles competitors.  Looking forward to seeing where Bass goes here in the USWA!

The Naturals seem to be struggling!  or should I say, the Devious Movement is BACK!

Oliver over Brown!  Brown may need some help here!

Armstrong with a big win but, man, did he pay for it!

Solid card here!

Good win here for Johnny Rich! I'm rooting for the heel "Memphis Mafia Man"!

I agree with Kevin, I'm excited to see Ron Bass as a single here in USWA...he could have great matches with Kerry/Cooley/Lawler or Armstrong over time!

The Movement will be looking for the Grapplers sooner or later...looking forward to them challenging for the titles

Rip Oliver is victorious! I think he will fit in great here!

Was pulling for Cooley here but Ayala is on a roll!

The Central States tag champs hold their own with the USWA tag champs....I'm sure this is far from over

Bullet Bob pulls off another victory but I'm very interested in The Battens seemingly aligning with Tully and Baby Doll...this is going to be interesting!

I've always appreciated your writing. I go back to when you told me years ago that you weren't sure you could do this kind of thing and look where you're at now. I haven't been able to follow a lot of the stuff that you've been doing but here I can see a lot of promise but also movement forward with everything. I will definitely be checking things out in the future to see what happens with one of my favorites Tully Blanchard.

USWA TV @ The Civic Auditorium Knoxville TN 3-27-85

uswa.jpg.5d95a85fc62a22bdaa41dd96698d75cf.jpg

Show opens with footage from this past Tuesday at the Tyndall Armory as The Naturals defeat Bad Attitude for the Central States Tag Team Titles!!

Lance Russell: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of USWA wrestling here on the USA Network. Last week in Houston, Bob Armstrong defeated Tully Blanchard to earn a shot at the USWA title however Armstrong was beaten up after the match by the Battan Twins. More on that later. Big show tonight as Bruce Hart will bring in a mystery partner to take on the Fabulous Blondes. Mike George and Art Crews known as The Club have agreed to face the debuting Karachi Vice. And in the main event Wendell Cooley will face Johnny Rich. We'll also be hearing from the USWA champ Nick Bockwinkel. Well you saw at the top of the program, The Naturals are the new Central States Tag Team Champs. So please welcome George Wells and Brian Adias your new Central States Tag Champs.

adias.jpg.f39f0f075c417a36da18c252f6afa4c7.jpgwells.jpg.d20cce11fdd9ab28b968e62f7f8b9638.jpg

Adias: Lance, what a great feeling!

Wells: Exactly right! All our hard work has paid off.

Thundering boos as Sonny King and The Movement come to the podium.

king.jpg.056737f7d9da124e4efe68c8a4783746.jpgtones.jpg.fddd1bd02bc46ab15b9285b6af90d46e.jpg

Lance: Hold on a minute.

King: I cant believe this! I really cant but why am I surprised. Once again politics come into play and who gets screwed over? We do!

Lance: I don't know what you're talking about.

King: Let me walk you through it. At Scores to Settle the Movement defeat the Naturals. Last week in Houston, the Movement defeat the Naturals. So who ends up getting a title shot? The Naturals! Who ends up winning the titles? The Naturals! Now do you see what I'm talking about? Listen up Jarrett...

Lance: Just relax Sonny. Bad Attitude was signed to defend against the Naturals before your matches took place.

Adias: Tell you what Sonny King, we'll make this simple. We'll be more than happy to put these titles on the line against your men next week at the Mid South Coliseum.

King: Well, I didn't think you two had the guts. Ok, enjoy your reign because it's going to be a short one.

Lance: Ok, that match will take place next weekend at the Mid South Coliseum. Let's get to the ring.

"Chief" Joe Lightfoot vs. "The Patrolman" Dale Veasey

lightfoot.jpg.ab198326dc5508d9fbe03056bcb5941c.jpgveasey.png.f9f7c6b10c81aac9dabbc591594d411e.png

These two have been wrestling on the house shows and make their televised debuts tonight. Competitive match as the tide turns several times. Veasey misses a clothesline and Lightfoot swings back with a flying press to get the 1..2..3! As Lightfoot celebrates with the fans, Veasey clotheslines him from behind and stomps away. Veasey goes out and gets a pair of handcuffs and cuffs Lightfoot to the ropes and proceeds to give him a beatdown!

Commercial Break

Lance: I cant believe the actions of Dale Veasey. Lightfoot had to be helped out of here. Before we...

Carl Fergie and Gary Young come to the podium.

Fergie: Listen up nerd! Bad Attitude was outright robbed of the Central States Tag Titles and the Naturals should be arrested for theft. Last week Matt Borne was injured during a match with the Grapplers. Then they were forced to defend the titles against the Naturals just 2 days later. The Naturals took advantage of an injured man and that's the only reason they're walking around with Bad Attitude's belts. As you can see Matt isn't here because he's badly injured but rest assured I'm not going to idly stand by. No way! And as for you Wendell Cooley, get ready because Johnny Rich is going to put a pounding on you tonight boy! Damn it! I'm furious!

Lance: (Pauses) Let's go to the ring.

Carlos Colon vs. Gary Williams

Colon came up short in his quest for the USWA title and looks to get back in contention. Colon works over Williams and finishes him of with a diving clothesline from the top rope!

Commercial Break

Lance: Ok fans next weekend the USWA will hit the Mid South Coliseum with a big card. Along with the Central States tag title match, Jerry Lawler will make his return to face his current heated rival Adrian Adonis. Nick Bockwinkel was scheduled to defend his title against Bob Armstrong but thanks to Tully Blanchard and the Battan Twins, Armstrong will not be able to compete but will get his shot at a later date. Now, Jerry Jarrett has informed me that this weekend at the Jackson Coliseum there will be a battle royal and the winner will get a USWA title shot at the Mid South Coliseum. On that note I want to bring out the Battan's to try and get to the bottom of their motive for attacking Bob Armstrong.

Boos as the Battan's (Brad and Bart) come out.

battens.jpg.893cb17d551a149ea3ddc5a84c84d929.jpg

Brad: First of all you will refer to us as Southern Justice. Got it!

Bart: Let's get one thing straight. Tully Blanchard wasn't behind any of this. We did this because we needed to administer some Southern Justice on Bob Armstrong.

Lance: Why would you do that?

Brad: Because we had to show that pathetic patriarch what true family blood is all about. Everywhere we go all we hear about is how the Armstrong's are the greatest wrestling family. Well we take that as a personal insult! We came to the USWA to....

Lance: Whoa!

armstrongs.jpg.fc2f6245da77b8592f142ee0a848f72f.jpg

The fans go wild as Scott and Steve Armstrong (in street clothes) storm the podium and unload on Southern Justice. Lance gets out of there quick. The Armstrong's are all over Southern Justice. Prelim wrestlers get out there to break it up which allows Southern Justice to stagger out of there.

Scott: You want a family feud? You got one!

Steve: The Armstrong's will show you what family blood is all about!

Commercial Break

Lance: This has been quite the show. Oh my, the Armstrong's are here and they're looking to administer some justice of their own. Ok, back to the ring.

"Mean" Mike Miller vs. Todd Rooney

miller.jpg.a80ec15868fd9a1100dde83fee811a15.jpg

Miller made a huge impact at Scores to Settle as he decimated Kerry Von Erich which allowed Hercules Ayala to win the Central States Title. Turns out Sonny King paid Miller to do that. Miller destroys Rooney and makes him submit with an Indian Deathlock.

Miller cuts a promo and says that gutless punk Von Erich is so scared that he hasn't even shown his face since that vicious beatdown!

Commercial Break

Another vignette as Siva Afi continues with his island rituals. Siva Afi will make his debut next week!

afi.jpg.69cc7f3d688142675d8d42ccf73ac06a.jpg

The Club vs. Karachi Vice

Art Crews and Mike George are in the ring waiting for their opponents.

The Great Gama Singh walks to the podium.

Gama: I have searched the world up and down to find a partner worth teaming with and I have found him. Stand up and show your respect as I present to you Makhan Singh!

Lance: Wait a minute, That's Mike Shaw!

Gama: Never speak that name again! Mike Shaw is no longer. This man has been reborn and is Makhan Singh! It is now time to unleash Karachi Vice unto the world!

The Club do their best but seemed to have been caught off guard by Karachi Vice. After a few minutes of action, Karachi Vice  hurl George out of the ring. Makhan hits a splash on Crews then Gama applies the Camel Clutch to get the big win.

vice.jpg.902347706189b0cfe7304d130e115c23.jpg

After the match, George helps Crews up and consoles him as they leave disappointed.

Commercial Break

Lance: With me right now is the USWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel. Well Nick, at some point you will defend against Bob Armstrong but first you will defend the title against the winner of the Jackson Coliseum battle royal.

bockwinkel.jpg.dc4e52d5e7315d11b9084d15ece22014.jpg

Bock: Bob Armstrong isn't even a factor. The man obviously comes up short in the ability factor. When the time comes I will prove that. As for the battle royal. It doesn't matter who comes out on top, the only thing that matters is that I will be the one walking out of the Mid South Coliseum with this title. Quite frankly I look around and I see no one that I would even consider a challenge. However I will go along with these formalities and continue to prove why I am the man holding this title. Good day Mr. Russell.

Lance: A very confident Nick Bockwinkel. Back to the ring for another USWA debut.

"Avalanche" Buzz Tyler vs. William Hillman

buzz.jpg.39bceeaf47e0e43c0c38946eb45e9e01.jpg

Tyler makes short work of his opponent and finishes him off with a running powerslam!

Tyler cuts a promo and says he's ready for the competition here baby!

Commercial Break

Lance: Joining me now is Ron Slinker.

slinker.jpg.25812a1ac1e9b8a3cd1815e525e0f883.jpg

Ron comes out still wearing a neck brace.

Slinker: It's obvious all of you idiots don't care because you're still upset that I ran your American hero Sgt. Slaughter out of town but I'm heeling at a remarkable pace. The Doctor said any regular human being would still be out of commission but then he told me how he watched my incredible performance against Slaughter and said I was some kind of Superman.

There's a commotion as Don Kernodle walks out.

kernodle.jpg.877ef7193c828f7ecf019f77bc343378.jpg

Kernodle: You know Sgt. Slaughter is a very good friend of mine and for weeks I've been watching you come out here and gloat about running him out of town even though he gave you the beating of your life and put you to sleep with the Cobra Clutch!

The fans cheer.

Slinker: You're delusional! Now you better go away because I'm a martial arts expert and might have to teach you a lesson.

Kernodle: Ok, how about we have a match next weekend at the Mid South Coliseum? That shouldn't be a problem for a martial arts superman like yourself...right?

Slinker: (Pauses and holds his neck) Ok, it will be fun to send you packing just like your weak little buddy.

Lance: Ok, add Slinker vs. Kernodle to the Mid South Coliseum card. Let's go to the ring for a big tag match.

The Fabulous Blondes vs. "Bronco" Bruce Hart and ???

The Blondes arrogantly parade around the ring as Bruce Hart comes out. They taunt and yell at him. Hart smiles and motions behind him.

Lance: Oh my! That's Mighty John Quinn!

quinn.jpg.5815aa7a54bb9ba57531ebc4c09ecbcc.jpg

The Blondes are stunned and are saying they didn't sign up for this. While they're yelling at the Ref, Hart and Quinn hit the ring. The bell rings but the Blondes don't even hear it. Hart dropkicks Regal out of the ring. Chick turns around and Quinn nails him with a thundering right fist! Chick falls slowly backwards as Hart grabs him and hits a German suplex 1..2..3!!

Huge Pop!

Quinn raises his fist as Hart holds his arm up. What a debut for John Quinn!

Commercial Break

Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair w/Les Thornton vs. Trent Watkins

tony.jpg.c0c376e154153263dacb429e6d3111bb.jpgles.jpg.0a23e8ec29398a19b807c6fa6cf3b761.jpg

Before the match, Thornton escorts St. Clair to the podium.

Thornton: (Looks up at the ring with a disgusted look) I brought the greatest wrestler all the way from the UK to show the world why he's simply the best. Looking up at that ring I can surely tell you that man is not worthy competition. He's not worth Tony St. Clair's time therefore he will not grace these fans with his skills today. We're leaving.

Lance: (Watches as they leave) I cant believe the arrogance of those two.

Boos as Tully Blanchard struts out with Baby Doll.

tully.jpg.93f8b29e0840b6a92c13994dd155a4ec.jpgdoll.jpg.6aaae5270da9110c0b1a1222b8793cec.jpg

Lance: You weren't scheduled  until later but ok.

Tully: Lets get something straight. I do what I want when I want. Poor Bob Armstrong doesn't get his shot but as you heard that was out of my control.

Lance: Well you didn't have a problem helping Southern Justice assault Bob. As a matter of fact you gave him 2 sling shot suplexes.

Tully: I cant help it if that sorry old man can handle what I got. Now this weekend in Jackson I will win that battle royal and believe me I will get that title shot that I so deserve.

Lance: I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I've been informed that due to those actions your punishment is not being allowed in the battle royal.

Tully and Baby Doll have a meltdown.

Tully: Just what the hell is going on around here! Let me tell you something Jerry Jarrett. I will become the USWA champion one way or another! Mark my words!

Lance: A very upset Tully Blanchard. Our main event is up next.

Commercial Break

"Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. "The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie

This rivalry has been going full throttle for awhile. The bell rings and fists are flying! Fergie stays on the apron that is until Cooley swings Rich into him and Fergie goes flying. Cooley swings Rich into the ropes and hip tosses him over. Rich staggers up and Cooley dropkicks him out of the ring. Cooley goes to the apron. Rich slowly rises and Cooley nails him with a double axehandle. Fergie tries to interfere but Cooley punches him down as the fans are going wild. Cooley heads towards Rich but Rich hits him low and regroups. Rich slams Cooley's head on the apron and hurls him back in the ring.

Rich chokes Cooley on the bottom rope. The Ref backs Rich off which allows Fergie to run up and choke Cooley on the ropes. Rich stomps away on Cooley then picks him up and hot shots him on the top rope 1..2..Cooley gets his foot on the rope. Rich and Fergie berate the Ref. Rich swings Cooley into the corner and charges in with a running back elbow smash. Rich body slams Cooley then goes to the top rope. Rich jumps off and attempts the flying elbow drop but Cooley moves at the last second.

Both men are reeling. They're on their knees and start exchanging punches. They start to rise while still throwing punches. Cooley gets the upper hand and starts to unload. Cooley swings Rich to the ropes and clotheslines him down. Cooley picks up Rich and swings him hard into the turnbuckles. Rich staggers out and Cooley hits the Running Bulldog 1..2..Fergie hits the ring and stomps on Cooley. The Ref signals for the DQ! Rich is still reeling. Cooley starts to rise and punches away on Fergie. Cooley swings Fergie to the ropes and back drops him. Fergie staggers up and Cooley nails him with the Running Bulldog as the fans cheer!

Lance: Cooley gets the DQ win and gets some satisfaction. It's been a rough week for Carl Fergie. Fans next week, Adrian Adonis will be in action. Siva Afi makes his debut. We'll hear from Kerry Von Erich. Rip Oliver takes on Bob Brown. And Rick Martel will defend the TV title against Gino Brito Jr. I wanted to bring both men out.

Martel and Gino show their respect to each other and vow to have a good clean wrestling match with the best man winning. They shake hands as the show ends.

This weekend at the Jackson Coliseum- Battle Royal, winner gets a USWA title shot.

Another awesome show from USWA. I think what amazes me the most is how much you seem to get out of wrestlers that don't appeal to, or work for anyone else. I think the Batten Twins have been on half the rosters in the game, and in one show you made them more interesting than any of the rest of us did. I don't mean that as a slight on anyone else, just that you have a great mind for getting people in the absolute right position.

Looking forward to seeing who comes out of the battle royal to go after Bockwinkel. It won't be Tully this time, but man the thought of Blanchard/Bockwinkel in who can be more underhanded, and out think the other would be amazing.

Adonis/Lawler is a great feud. Those would be some fantastic brawls.

Rooting for The Movement to get those straps!!

The USWA is full of twists and turns.  This would be much watch TV!

Like how you seem to have everything in place for all these newcomers.  From the Battens vs the Armstrongs, Kernodle vs Slinker, Lightfoot vs the Patrolman, the new Karachi Vice, John Quinn, etc... really good job!

An upset Tully and Baby Doll makes for a great interview.

Enjoyed the interview with the Movement and the Naturals

Like the Battle Royal-Title Shot set up.  Makes the chaos worth more!

Great show! I agree with Blehschmidt, you are the Paul Heyman of our game where you able to see characters in people that often go overlooked. Your creativity with gimmicks and characters is one of the really fun aspects of the game.

Excited to see the Karachi Vice here in the USWA, they will be a great addition to an already solid tag roster.

I have a feeling that Mike Miller is going to have hell to pay when Kerry shows back up!

The Armstrongs against the newly christened 'Southern Justice' should make for some exciting tag matches.

A pissed off Tully can't be good for anybody!

Can't wait to see who emerges from the battle royal to challenge Bock for the title.

USWA @ The Jackson Coliseum 3-28-85

uswa.jpg.5d95a85fc62a22bdaa41dd96698d75cf.jpg

The Club (Art Crews and Mike George) defeat 2 local talents to warm up the crowd.

16 Man Battle Royal- Winner gets a USWA title shot next week at the Mid South Coliseum

Participants- Carlos Colon, Hercules Ayala, Wendell Cooley, Johnny Rich, Rip Oliver, Boris Zhukov, Gino Brito, Gary Young, Buzz Tyler, Bob Brown, Ron Bass, Adrian Adonis, Joe Lightfoot, Dale Veasey, Mike Miller and ???

Highlights- Just as the bell is about to ring, the fans go absolutely nuts when Jerry Lawler storms the ring as the 16th man! Lawler sprints at Adonis and Adonis jumps over the top rope and runs up the aisle as Lawler goes over the top rope and chases him! After a lot of fists flying and bodies tumbling over the top rope, it's down to Colon, Ayala, Cooley, Rich, Bass and Miller. Bass, Miller, Colon and Ayala engage in a wild melee and all 4 men go over the top rope. Colon and Ayala continue to fight on the outside. It's down to Cooley and his nemeses Rich. Rich nails Cooley from behind with a high knee and works him over but cant get him over the top rope. Rich swings Cooley into the corner and charges in but Cooley nails him with his boot. Rich staggers back, Cooley puts him down with a clothesline, then picks him up by his hair and hurls him over the top rope!

Winner of the battle royal and gets a USWA title shot- "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley

Gino Brito Jr. vs. "Gorgeous" Gary Young w/"Cool" Carl Fergie

Brito is gearing up for his TV title shot next week while Young is coming off a Central States Tag Team Title reign. The finish comes when Fergie is on the apron and Brito dropkicks Young into him and rolls him up for the 1..2..3!

Winner of the Match- Gino Brito Jr.

"Bulldog" Bob Brown vs. "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler

This one is a hard hitting contest. They eventually fight through the ropes and fight to a double count out.

Official Ruling- A Double C.O.

"Outlaw" Ron Bass vs. "Chief" Joe Lightfoot

Lightfoot puts up a valiant fight but in the end, Bass finishes him off with the gourd buster.

Winner of the Match- Ron Bass

Central States Tag Champs The Naturals and Carlos Colon vs. The Movement (Whatley, Conway and Central States Champ Hercules Ayala) w/Sonny King

The fans are on their feet during this 15 minute chaotic match. Both sides really shine and give the fans a show. The finish sees a pier six brawl go down. In all the chaos, Colon cradles Whatley to get the pin!

Winners of the Match-The Naturals and Carlos Colon

"Crippler" Rip Oliver vs. Boris Zhukov

Zhukov dominates the early moments but Oliver fights back and goes to town. Zhukov doesn't go down so easy and regains control with a mulekick followed by a clothesline. Zhukov gives Oliver a beating. Zhukov swings Oliver to the ropes and misses a clothesline and Oliver swings back with a flying forearm blast to get the pin!

Winner of the Match- Rip Oliver

Steve and Scott Armstrong vs. Southern Justice (The Batten Twins)

This started when Southern Justice assaulted Bob Armstrong and put him out of action for a bit. Southern Justice claimed they did it to show they are the best family wrestlers. The Armstrong's showed up on TV for revenge and here we are. Of course this match is action packed bonkers from the get go. At around the 10 minute mark, the Armstrong's are in total control. Brad Batten is taking a beating. Bart Batten runs in and the brawl is on. The Armstrong's double dropkick Bart but the Ref gets in between. Bart goes through the ropes as the Ref goes down. Scott hoists Brad up and holds him as Steve comes off the top rope with a missile dropkick! Steve is covering but the Ref is down. Scott goes to check on the Ref. Bart enters the ring with a chair and blasts Steve over the head! Scott looks up and Bart nails him with the chair! Bart throws the chair out of the ring and helps Brad up. They pick up the lifeless body of Steve and hit a double hot shot on the top rope. Bart drags the Ref over 1..2..3! The fans throw garbage as Southern Justice heads up the aisle gloating.

Winners of the Match- Southern Justice

USWA Champ Nick Bockwinkel and Adrian Adonis vs. USWA Tag Team Champs The Grapplers

Before the match starts, Jerry Lawler is stopped by several members of Security. The fans are cheering as Lawler is trying to get into the ring. Security is finally able to escort Lawler up the aisle while Adonis taunts him.

Talk about a great tag match. The tide turns several times. At the 30 minute mark, The Grapplers hit a double suplex on Bockwinkel. Grappler 1 follows with an elbow drop 1..2..Adonis breaks it. Grappler 2 comes in and punches Adonis. The Ref guides Grappler 2 back which allows Adonis to kick Grappler 1 and body slam him down. Bock tags in Adonis. Adonis swings Grappler 1 to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Adonis hops on the middle ropes and comes down with a knee drop 1..2..Grappler 2 breaks it. Adonis tags in Bock. Adonis holds Grappler 1 while Bock comes off the ropes with a double axehandle. Bock works over Grappler 1 then tags in Adonis. They swing him to the ropes and go for a double clothesline but Grappler 1 ducks, swings back and clotheslines Adonis and Bock then tags in Grappler 2.

Grappler 2 is on fire as he blasts both Bock and Adonis. Grappler 2 back drops Bock and Bock rolls back to his corner. Grappler 2 swings Adonis to the ropes and a big back drop sends Adonis bumping out of the ring. Adonis rolls around and reaches in his tights to pull something out. Adonis pours some powdered substance in his hand. Bock tries to sneak in the ring but both Grapplers send him flying with a double punch. The Ref is trying to get control.

The fans roar as Jerry Lawler storms through the crowd, hops over the railing and punches Adonis! The powdered substance goes right in Adonis's face! Lawler hurls Adonis in the ring. Adonis is rolling around covering his eyes. Grappler 2 drops a knee on Adonis 1..2..3!

The fans pop as the Grapplers celebrate. Lawler gets in the ring. Bock goes after him but Lawler punches him through the ropes. Lawler jumps down and starts choking Adonis. Security rushes the ring. The Grapplers look at what's going on and simply walk out. Lawler breaks free and heads back out into the crowd as the fans cheer and pat him on the back.

Winners of the Match- The Grapplers

I like how you often combine two angles into one match to keep everything moving like you did here with the Naturals, Colon vs The Movement and Ayala

Like the push of Wendell Cooley.  Never saw him growing up but from everything I have seen on video, he seemed to have it all.  Could have been bigger

The Battens vs The Armstrongs is perfect for Tennessee.  Like the ending here as it keeps the feud growing

The Grapplers are becoming unstoppable.

Great spot in the battle royal to fire up the crowd even more for the Lawler/Adonis feud!  I LOVE that Wendell Cooley was the winner, he will make a great opponent for Nick Bockwinkel and even if he doesn't prevail, that's a great learning experience for him at this stage of his career!

Loving the singles run here for Ron Bass!

Great Six Man Tag with the Central States tag champs on one side and the Central States heavyweight champ on the other side....nice win for the Naturals/Carlos!

I would love to see Rip Oliver tie up with Ron Bass at some point....just sayin'

The Armstrongs vs. The Batten Twins/Southern Justice is a feud that could have legs for quite some time....a lot of options here!

Awesome main event that furthers the Lawler/Adonis feud while continuing to build up the Grapplers as the top team in the territory!

Great show!

USWA TV @ The Civic Auditorium, Knoxville TN 4-3-85

uswa.jpg.5d95a85fc62a22bdaa41dd96698d75cf.jpg

Footage from the Jackson Coliseum is shown as Wendell Cooley wins a battle royal, earning a USWA title match with Nick Bockwinkel. Also shown is Jerry Lawler returning to action and making life miserable for Adrian Adonis.

Lance Russell: Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of USWA wrestling here on the USA Network. Big show tonight. Rick Martel defends his TV title against Gino Brito Jr. Bruce Hart and John Quinn take on the Fabulous Blondes with the winners getting a USWA tag title shot against the Grapplers. The Movement takes on The Club. Rip Oliver battles Bob Brown. Siva Afi makes his debut and we'll see if Tony St. Clair graces us with a ring appearance. We'll be hearing from Kerry Von Erich and Jerry Lawler returns to TV tonight! Right now I want to bring in the man who will face Nick Bockwinkel for the USWA title, tomorrow night at the Mid South Coliseum. Wendell Cooley, come on in.

wendell.jpg.3f16e8749a246c99075a8ebc9316640c.jpg

Big pop as Wendell pumps his fist to the fans.

Cooley: Lance, I cant tell you how pumped up I am for this opportunity. I had to beat out 15 other men in that battle royal to get here and brother I'm ready for my shot!

BOOS as Nick Bockwinkel strolls out in a sweat suit with the title around his waist.

bockwinkel.jpg.dc4e52d5e7315d11b9084d15ece22014.jpg

Bock: Mr. Cooley I am well aware of your accomplishments in this sport and I know you've held many regional titles. Very well done. However, I don't think you understand the magnitude of our match tomorrow night. You're going to be stepping in the ring with wrestling's greatest champion. (unstraps his title and holds it up) This title is the only title that matters. I am the only champion that matters. You are just a blip on the radar. Don't take that as an insult. After you go down in defeat, you will have gained more experience than ever by just being in the ring with yours truly.

Bock lightly slaps Cooley's cheek. Cooley quickly pushes Bock's hand away.

Cooley: Do not condescend me! You seem very confident in your abilities Mr. Bockwinkel. So let's not wait until tomorrow night. Let's get in that very ring...right now!

The fans are up and cheering as Cooley gets in the ring and pumps his fists.

Bock slowly takes off his jacket and sets his title down then gets in the ring. Bock walks up to Cooley and stares at him then turns around and turns back with a punch but Cooley ducks it and executes an Atomic Drop! Cooley swings Bock to the ropes and gives him a big back drop. Bock staggers up and Cooley scoop slams him! Bock rolls out of the ring favoring his back. Bock grabs his title and heads out as the fans cheer Cooley on.

Commercial Break

Lance: Well that was something. I think Bockwinkel might have underestimated Wendell Cooley. Cooley seems to be more than ready for his USWA title shot. Fans in Memphis wont want to miss that one. Let's go to the ring.

"The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi vs. Todd Rooney

afi.jpg.69cc7f3d688142675d8d42ccf73ac06a.jpg

Afi makes his anticipated USWA debut and immediately wins the fans over with his high octane offense. Afi body slams Rooney then goes to the top rope and crashes down with a flying headbutt for the win!

The fans cheer as Afi does a little dance and flashes them the "Hang Loose" sign.

Lance: Impressive win for Siva Afi. I'm expecting big things from that young sensation. Fans I want to take you to the home of Kerry Von Erich as he had this to say.

kerry.jpg.61e2c7ef25394dcb31eaaeaa6515875b.jpg

Kerry: (Walking around his backyard) Mike Miller, you not only costed me the Central States Title but you put me out of action with a chair. I've had a lot of time to think and boy the only thing on my mind is getting you in the ring. I talked with Jerry Jarrett and tomorrow night at the Mid South Coliseum it's you and me! Get ready boy because I'm coming after you!

Commercial Break

"Mean" Mike Miller vs. Gary Williams

miller.jpg.a80ec15868fd9a1100dde83fee811a15.jpg

Total squash as Miller just brutalizes his opponent. Miller sends a message to Kerry Von Erich as he finishes the match with a discuss punch!

The fans boo as Miller picks up Williams and puts him down with another punch! Miller heads to the podium.

Miller: Kerry Von Erich is nothing but a punk! He's not even man enough to be here in person to challenge me to a match. I bet he doesn't even show up tomorrow night. Listen up Punk! If you do show up I'm going to send you back to Daddy crying!

A commercial is shown for the Parade of Champions Texas Stadium May 23rd 1985!

Lance: Welcome back fans. Get ready because Jerry Lawler makes his televised in ring return!

Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Trent Watkins

lawler.jpg.7202793afa6a4c006d2626dc2929d3ac.jpg

The fans are going wild as Lawler punches away on Watkins then slams him down. Lawler hops on the middle ropes and comes down with the fist drop for the 1..2..3!

Lawler stands up and WHAM! Adrian Adonis nails Lawler from behind. Adonis picks Lawler up and takes a swing but Lawler blocks it and fires away. Both men have a furious exchange until several prelim wrestlers hit the ring to break it up.

adonis.jpg.44984636a353e9597a657418e408a2b1.jpg

Lance: Wow! Those two will wrestle tomorrow night at the Mid South Coliseum but I don't know if this feud will ever get resolved.

Commercial Break

The Movement w/Sonny King vs. The Club

Mike George and Art Crews formed a team a few weeks ago but things haven't been going their way. They put up a good fight tonight but thanks to a distraction by Sonny King, The Movement hit Crews with a Double Russian Leg Sweep for the win!

Sonny King and The Movement cut a promo and tell the Naturals those Central States Tag Titles are coming home with The Movement!

Commercial Break

Les Thornton and Tony St. Clair are at the podium.

Lance: Les, I believe Tony St. Clair is scheduled for a match right now.

Les: He was, but once again that inferior opponent standing in the ring is not a worthy competitor for UK's most skilled and accomplished professional wrestler Tony Simply the Best St. Clair. I cant believe this is....

Cheers as Buzz Tyler walks out.

buzz.jpg.39bceeaf47e0e43c0c38946eb45e9e01.jpg

Tyler: I'll get right to the point. You want an opponent? I'll wrestle your man tomorrow night in Memphis.

Les and Tony share a laugh.

Les: You? My goodness.

Tony whispers something to Les and they both smile.

Les: Ok, we accept well, I guess we'll call it a challenge. Be prepared for the wrestling lesson of your life my friend. Tony is going to take you to the school of United Kingdom wrestling.

Tyler: Let's just see if he can survive the school of hard knocks first.

Lance: Oh my, Les Thornton and Tony St. Clair might be getting more than they bargained for. Let's go to the ring.

"The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie vs. Vic Dutro

rich.jpg.01e6644ef20f5e33a3772ec1d8b14739.jpg

Rich easily wins the match with a flying elbow from the top rope. The fans boo as Fergie raises Rich's arm.

Commercial Break

"Bronco" Bruce Hart and "Mighty" John Quinn vs. The Fabulous Blondes

hart.jpg.af77fe0673024db1cff7fcb8f9237551.jpgquinn.jpg.5815aa7a54bb9ba57531ebc4c09ecbcc.jpgchick.jpg.c5d247e42cb1ea4e0a508ccb5cf7819b.jpgregal.jpg.2ff6d726c52458291650af6b018ca399.jpg

Winners get a USWA Tag Title Match

Quinn made his debut last week as Hart's mystery partner. They defeated the Blondes in a hurry. The Blondes said they weren't ready and demanded a rematch.

Blondes do a lot better this week as they work over and double team Hart. Hart finally makes the tag to Quinn and Quinn cleans house. Regal and Donovan regroup and double team Quinn until Hart has enough and runs in. A pier six brawl ensues. During the chaos the Ref takes a bump.

Lance: Wait a minute! The Karachi Vice is in the ring!

vice.jpg.902347706189b0cfe7304d130e115c23.jpg

Gama nails Bruce as Makhan takes Quinn out with a chair! Gama gets the chair and nails Hart! Karachi Vice exit the ring. Regal covers Quinn. The Ref crawls over 1..2..3!

The Fabulous Blondes leave the ring celebrating like they won the Super Bowl. Karachi Vice gets back in there. Makhan swings off the ropes and body splashes Quinn. Makhan picks up Hart and powerslams him over! Gama applies the camel clutch on Hart. Hart is out. Several Refs hit the ring. Karachi Vice heads to the podium.

Lance: Just what the hell was that all about?

Gama: My hatred for the Hart family goes back a long time! Bruce Hart! I waited patiently for this moment and you don't know how good this feels. Makhan and myself will not rest until we send you back to Canada. Not even The Mighty John Quinn will be able to help you. This is only the beginning!

Commercial Break

Lance: With me right now is the Outlaw Ron Bass.

bass.jpg.f4fa13b271f797303c62e6247083c3fb.jpg

Ron cracks his whip.

Bass: The Outlaw is here in the USWA and I brought along Miss Betsy! I'm serving notice to everybody that if you get in my way, Miss Betsy and I are going to deal with you the old fashion way! (Another crack of the whip)

Lance: That whip makes me nervous. Let's go to the ring for another big match.

"Crippler" Rip Oliver vs. "Bulldog" Bob Brown

oliver.jpg.9d1faa45f0396412d6568b916f64251b.jpgbulldog.png.646b48468f6dab5a5a87dfe463332990.png

As Oliver walks to the ring, Bass walks by and bumps him. Oliver stares at him and Bass walks up to him shouting. Bass pushes Oliver and Oliver pushes back. Before Bass can make another move, Bob Brown nails Oliver from behind and hurls him in the ring. The Ref signals for the bell. Bass stares up at Oliver then heads to the back. Brown is all over Oliver with punches, stomps and a lot of choking. Brown hops on the middle ropes and goes for a knee drop but Oliver moves. Oliver regroups and takes the fight to Brown. Brown comes back with an eye rake and slam but cant put Oliver away. Brown swings Oliver to the corner and charges in but Oliver lunges forward with a forearm blast. Oliver scoops Brown's legs from under him and rolls forward with his feet on the turnbuckles 1..2..3! Oliver shows he's not afraid to bend the rules.

Commercial Break

Central States Tag Team Champs The Naturals vs. Neil Gooding and William Hillman

adias.jpg.f39f0f075c417a36da18c252f6afa4c7.jpgwells.jpg.d20cce11fdd9ab28b968e62f7f8b9638.jpg

Naturals win the match after Wells nails Hillman with a running tackle and Adias finishes things off with an Airplane Spin.

Naturals cut a promo and warn The Movement the titles are staying with them and Sonny King better not get in their way!

Lance: Before we get to our main event I have big news regarding next week's show. Bob Armstrong has been cleared for action! Next week's main event will be Bob and his sons Steve and Scott taking on Tully Blanchard and Southern Justice (The Battens). That will be a wild one. Our TV title match when we come back.

Commercial Break

USWA TV Title Bout

Rick Martel (C) vs. Gino Brito Jr.

The match starts with a handshake. These 2 put on a classic scientific match. Martel starts strong with hip tosses, dropkicks and several cradle pin attempts. Brito comes back with a nice dropkick of his own as well as some cradle pin attempts. Brito then works the leg of Martel. Brito has Martel in trouble and clamps on the figure four! Martel fights it as Brito wrenches away. Martel is finally able to roll over and break the hold. Brito swings Martel into the corner but Martel reverses it and whips Brito hard into the corner. Brito staggers out and Martel hits a backbreaker. Martel drags Brito out and applies the Boston Crab! Martel puts all his strength into it. Finally Brito submits.

The fans cheer as Martel helps Brito up. The Ref hands Martel the TV title and Brito raises Martel's arm.

Lance: Tremendous match and a tremendous show of sportsmanship by both men. We certainly don't see enough if that these days. Fans in Memphis get ready for that huge event at the Mid South Coliseum. Great tv show to set up the show at the Mid-South Coliseum.

I really enjoy your interviews with Bock!  So well done and you went an extra step hyping up the match with Cooley as you put them in the ring were Cooley easily held his own.  Makes people think he has a shot and sells more tickets!

The video from Kerry's farm was a nice touch.  I can just seem him getting even down the road.

Lawler vs Adonis..... More please

Buzz Tyler will be more of a challenge that St. Clair thinks... He will need some serious help from Les

Good use of old rivalries here as Gama comes after a Hart!  The Karachi Vice is a great addition to the USWA.... instant heat!

Bass with Miss Betsy.... AWESOME!  Bass and Oliver would be one hard hitting angle if you go that way

A great show of sportsmanship "match" to the end the show was a nice touch.  I need to use a few of these.  Every fan likes a certain type of match and while we always focus on good vs evil, there are plenty who want to see a true wrestling match.
