Flyin' Brian Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 Guys, new channel on Roku Jarrett Parsons Wrestling has episodes of Memphis Wresting, ICW, Southwest, IWA, Continental, Portland, Vancouver, Atlantic Grand Prix, and more. Not sure if there is anything new there but definitely worth checking out. Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 As far as I can tell it's public domain stuff that's been out there in one form or another for years, but I also haven't explored the channel beyond a surface level glance Quote
Sean Reedy Posted March 18, 2019 Report Posted March 18, 2019 I have agreed to take on an unofficial role of sorting through thousands of hours of footage for this channel so I'll be on the lookout for anything rare. I will do everything in my power to track down leads and find new stuff. I recently came across 3 WMC-5 episodes from 1982 that are brand new. I'd love to be active with this board about this project in the same way that Bruce Tharpe was with the NWA on Demand channel. Quote

Are they buying the rights to anything or just pulling from what is out in the wild? Quote
Sean Reedy Posted March 18, 2019 Report Posted March 18, 2019 There are negotiations to buy things. My understanding is a lot of it depends on viewership numbers and advertising dollars coming in. This thing is very much in its infancy, there's so much being discussed, which I know you've heard before with other projects like FloSlam so not trying to over-hype anything, but some cool stuff could happen. Are there plans for apps on other platforms besides Roku? Quote
Sean Reedy Posted March 18, 2019 Report Posted March 18, 2019 I know they are trying to make that happen, yes. Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted March 19, 2019 Report Posted March 19, 2019 There is some dying days 70s Detroit on here and I just threw on a random episode from 1978. How did I not know there was a masked wrestler named "Garth Vader"!?!?! Fucking awesome Quote
Blehschmidt Posted March 19, 2019 Report Posted March 19, 2019 I used to ring announce for Rock Parsons in West Virginia and I know he has been gathering and collecting this footage for a long time. Glad to see it's all in one easy to watch place! Quote
