SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I'll check out Drew's match. He's the man. Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Nia is actually really good at some aspects of wrestling. Her looking disgusted at Askua's antics was great. It's a shame she's not very good at the actual wrestling part of wrestling. Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Nia and the word "good" being in the same sentence is incredible, LOL! Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Nia's matches against Asuka are, in fact, Pretty Good. This one's off to a dope start. Quote
jiraffejustin Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Jesus that powerbomb looked nasty. Quote

There are aspects of the business she grasps very well. It's just unfortunate the one she doesn't happens to be the most important one. Like I seriously believe if she was taught by someone other than the PC she might have been able to become a decent monster heel level talent. Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Asuka & Ronda could carry her. Other than that Nia is channel change worthy. Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 The things Nia aren't good at are the ones that should be coachable/fixable by those in charge of training. The fact that they haven't been is as much a knock on them as her. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Just give Asuka a clean win without shenanigans ffs Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 You would have to send Nia to Japan to become a great female monster heel. I see no other way. But I can see the facial expressions & body language. Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Big pop for me from Orton teasing becoming the Legend Killer again. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 oh shit jakson ryker has done it! Quote
Rocco Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Its 2020 and Randy Orton is getting a huge push lol. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted June 16, 2020 Author Report Posted June 16, 2020 Ric managing Orton would be dope. Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Drew vs. Orton.. the wheels are starting to turn, I feel. Quote

sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I would take Ric managing Randy too, but not sure I want him around a potential rona outbreak zone. Quote

Do we think Flair is just staying home and playing online poker anyway? He’s probably more likely to infect everyone else than the other way around. Quote
SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Drew McIntyre is everything that Vince wanted Roman Reigns to be. It should have been Drew all along. Drew even has the aura of being "The Big Dog". Roman has the aura of a bodyguard, like how Wardlow is to MJF. Quote

SmoothS Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I see "bodyguard" written all over Roman. Wardlow, Diesel, you name it. That to me is why he never clicked the way Vince wanted him to. Quote
sek69 Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 So, this positive covid test could be another Benoit-style "when did WWE know" deal. Raw was taped earlier in the day today, but if they had any idea beforehand (or even during tapings), having Dominic and the Street Profits mingling in the crowd seem like really bad ideas. Quote
Burgundy LaRue Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 1 hour ago, KawadaSmile said: This ain't it, chief. Especially when Roman doesn't ever play second fiddle, whereas McIntyre has several times since his WWE return and it didn't feel out of place. It would now, as they got the stench off him. But I can't imagine Roman being backup for Ziggler, Strowman, Shane or Corbin, like Drew was. I'm on the opposite end. I get Roman, but Drew is paint-by-the-numbers for me. At least character-wise. A romance novel cover model. Scottish Fabio. Good wrestler once the bell rings, I enjoy him there. As for the positive COVID test, we knew that was happening at some point. I'd be surprised if AEW or WWE doesn't have several wrestlers/staff who are asymptomatic. Thing is, neither will shut down over it. Too much money wrapped up in TV deals, and WWE answers to stockholders to boot. Unless someone winds up hospitalized or dead from it, it's business as usual. Quote
