Strictly speaking about attire changes, I don't think any of those even qualify or were even that bad (Bo Dallas' singlet was an improvement over his white diaper look, that's for sure). Wasn't the Ascension basically the same?

When DBry and Roman had their gauntlet tag during their Fastlane build, The Ascension lost by DQ and dominated them. But I guess even by that point, it was clear they weren't the right choice.

Either way, you guys are maybe being too pessimistic about this.

It's a no win situation, either the new guy gets beat or you have a non finish that does them no favors. Plus in this case it literally gets overshadowed in seconds by furthering the angle you just started. Piss poor presentation all around, and another example of NXT guys having extra obstacles placed in front of them.
