Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Title Night comes to you tomorrow night from the Brown County Coliseum, right here on Sports Channel America but we have a pretty darn good show for you tonight. In our main event, The Ultimate Warrior faces Scott Norton. Manny Fernandez takes on Chicky Starr. The Hit Sensations face Los Boricuas. All that and a lot more so let's get to the ring for the debut of a new tag team in the AWA. 

 

The Ridge Riders (Bobby Blaze and Doug Gilbert) vs. Todd Rooney and Chuck Randall 

Blaze and Gilbert enter the ring wearing rugged brown denim vests, leather wrist straps and alligator skinned wrestling pants. The bell rings and they get down to business. Gilbert swings Randall to the ropes and flips him over with a knee to the gut as Blaze follows with a leg drop. Later, Gilbert puts Rooney down with a missile dropkick as Blaze finishes things off with a Northern Lights Suplex. 

The Ridge Riders cut a promo. Blaze says he wanted to take his career in a different direction and venture into the tag team ranks and has found the perfect partner. Gilbert says him and Blaze have hit it off both inside and outside the ring and they have one goal, to win tag gold! 

 

Commercial Break 

 

'The Love Machine' Art Barr w/The Vin Man vs. Robert Keitel 

Barr hits a swinging backbreaker off the ropes, climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits the frog splash for the easy win. 

 

Nelson: Vinnie, your man came up short against Konnan at the Happening, I... 

Vin: Hold up Larbo! At the Happening, that cheating Konnan cheap shotted me and I was out the entire match. My man Art was able to fully focus. Therefore, we demand a rematch. That is if Konnan has the guts. 

Barr: The only thing missing around my beautiful waist is a title. It's only a matter of time before it's added to my wardrobe. 

Vin: YEA! 

 

Commercial Break 

 

'The Raging Bull' Manny Fernandez vs. Chicky Starr 

Chicky gets massive heat as he struts around the ring waiting for his opponent. Manny's fired up as he enters the ring. Right as the Ref is going to signal for the bell, he stops as an attendant enters the ring with a briefcase. He talks with Manny and hands him the briefcase. Chicky's yelling at the Ref and wonders what this is all about. Manny sets the briefcase down and opens it. He pulls out a stack of bills and flips through them. He puts the bills back and locks the briefcase. Manny stands up with the briefcase. 

WHAM! 

Manny blasts the case over Chicky's head! Manny starts stomping down on Chicky! Manny slams Chicky and angrily stomps away. Manny hurls Chicky to the outside and follows. Manny swings Chicky into the steel post. Chicky's busted open. Manny hoists Chicky up and piledrives him on the concrete! Officials rush out. Moments later, Chicky is stretchered out. 

What just happened?!?!

The British Bombers vs. Neil Jordan and Dave Dougherty 

The Bombers return from their successful UK tour and look better than ever. Smith executes a delayed vertical suplex as St. Clair follows with a senton from the middle ropes for the win. 

The Bombers cut a promo and say they're in sync, motivated and ready for a shot at the world tag titles!

Nelson: Fans, I'm here with Austin Idol, Superstar Dundee and Iceman Parsons

Idol: Back up darling, I'll take it from here. Last week we were put in a position we shouldn't have been in in the first place! The National tag titles belong to us and now we've been cheated twice. This doesn't jive with us and now we're going to take matters into our own hands! 

Parsons: Ain't no rooty poo team can handle what we have coming! 

Dundee: Have mercy!

The Hit Sensations w/Malia vs. Los Boricuas 

Slick Vic and Superb Scotty along with Malia have been gaining some buzz in the AWA. Los Boricuas are coming off a hard hitting feud with the Tribal Nation. Both teams want to rise the rankings bad. 

The match goes back and forth with both teams showcasing some excellent teamwork and moves. A Malia distraction gives the momentum to the Sensations. They almost get the win when they nail Perez with a double Polish Hammer but Castillo breaks it. Later, Boricuas get things going their way. Perez hits an overhead suplex as Castillo follows with a body splash on Vic but Scotty breaks it. We get a pier six brawl but the bell rings signaling a 10 minute draw. Both teams looked good and proved themselves as contenders.

The Hangman w/Nell vs. Franklin Straw 

Hangman destroys his poor opponent and easily finishes things off with the hangman's neckbreaker 

 

Nelson looks nervous as Nell and Hangman walk over. Nelson looks up at Hangman, hands the mic to Nell and gets out of there. 

Nell: I'm sure everyone wants to know who we've chosen as our next poor soul. Well, there are many options but we do have our eyes on one particular soul. (pauses) He'll find out soon enough.

The Ultimate Warrior vs. Scott 'Flash' Norton w/Ted Arcidi 

Norton and Arcidi yell and pace around the ring. The music hits and Warrior sprints into the ring. Norton and Arcidi ambush the Warrior and start double teaming him. They swing him to the ropes but miss a double clothesline. Warrior swings back and clotheslines both men down! Warrior hurls Arcidi over the top rope as the Ref signals for the bell. 

Warrior's all over Norton and pinballs him around the ring with an onslaught of power moves. Norton survives and turns the tide with a low blow. Norton hammers down on Warrior and stomps away. Norton swings Warrior into the corner and follows with a running back elbow smash. Norton chokes Warrior. As the Ref backs Norton up, Arcidi gets on the apron and gives Warrior several clubs to the chest. Norton swings Warrior to the ropes and clotheslines him down. Norton drops a knee 1..2..Kick Out. Norton picks Warrior up and slams him down hard. Norton stomps away, hops on the middle turnbuckles and crashes down with a forearm drop 1..2..Kick Out. Norton swings Warrior into the corner. Norton argues with the Ref as Arcidi gets back on the apron. Warrior's pissed and hurls Arcidi into the ring. Warrior picks up Arcidi and swings him into Norton. Both men stagger up as Warrior nails them with a running shoulder tackle. Warrior swings Norton to the ropes and clotheslines him down. Warrior presses Norton up. Arcidi staggers up as Warrior tosses Norton onto him. Norton rolls over as Warrior swings off the ropes and hits the splash 1..2..3! BIG POP! 

The fans are up and cheering as Warrior shakes the ropes and celebrates.

Nelson: Fans, tomorrow night. Kokina will defend the AWA world title against the Big Bossman. Let's hear comments from Adnan and Kokina 

 

Kokina and Adnan are standing in front of the Brown County Coliseum. Kokina has the title on his shoulder. 

Adnan: Big Bossman! You talk about law and order and how you've cleaned up the AWA. That means nothing to us! Kokina has left a path of destruction that you can't clean up. Tomorrow night, Kokina will bury you along with your badge and so called honor. Your highest law and order are no match for the monster Kokina! You, Big Bossman will be the one serving a hard and cruel punishment at the hands of Kokina! 

Kokina lets out a roar!

Title night looks awesome.

Kokina has a long road ahead of him between Bossman and Warrior waiting in the wings.  All three would make great champs.  Looking forward to see where you are going.  AWA with a heel champ is one of the reason I enjoyed it growing up.  Martel or Hogan chasing Bockwinkle was great tv.

Idol coming up short and with his mic skills, this could be real fun.  Can't wait to hear his excuse.

Just when I thought Debeers might be done.... he is awesome heat!!

I enjoy babyface Muraco but don't remember so much of it when I was young.  I always thought of him as a heel but reading up on him proves me wrong.  I really enjoy those great tweeners.  It gives you so many options.

Barr & Vinnie had their excuse lined up and are already demanding a rematch.

Chicky finds out who it feels when someone hires a hitman to take you out. I think I know who hired Manny.

The Bombers are back and they're flying high.

Idol and co are not taking their losses well.

Things get heated between the Hit Sensations and Los Boricuas.

Neil and Hangman are back on the hunt.

Arcini and Norton combined didn't have the power to take down the Warrior.

Adnan & Kokina put Boss man on notice.
