Well you're quite right about the quality of the shows being ridiculous.  The impact for the workers is that there's a millionaire money-mark in town- ATM!!!. The latter point also explains AEW's survival despite its plummeting viewing figures.

I dispute the existence of any causal link between views on politics and views on wrestling. Otherwise where else do we take this?  Is there a correlation between, say  Progressive Politics and Progressive Rock?  Is it Left Wing to like Emerson Lake & Palmer, Yes circa Tales Of Topographic Oceans and post-Barrett Pink Floyd? And is it therefore Right Wing to like Marc Bolan & T.Rex, Roxy Music and the New York Dolls?

Cornette is absolutely toxic, vile, and a complete embarrassment to the industry he purports to love so much. He's far from alone in that, of course. He's far from the worst offender, of course. But that doesn't excuse his bullshit either. 

Whenever one of Corny's fans use one of his dumb podcast catchphrases, I know I'm dealing with a brainless amoeba who should be lobotomized on the spot.

Cornette's criticism of Kenny Omega have nothing to do with homophobia.

His point is that

(1) his promo style is ridiculously hammed up (hence "Kenny Olivier") 

(2) the match with the little girl made a mockery of professional wrestling and was therefore an abomination.

Quite apart from anything else, these are points that any LBGTQETC person might reasonably agree with.

I've seen a couple of Kenny Omega's promos, as many as I  could manage. They are lousy overblown affairs. Does that make me homophobic?
