  1. Man when Carmelo Hayes is on, that guy is smooth.
  2. They are saying it was only one foot but I don’t know.
  3. I generally don’t enjoy Ladder Matches, but that was about as good as you can expect to get from one. For what it was, I thought it was pretty good. Those guys are going to SORE for a good while. Damn.
  4. Considering how much they charge for beers at these big stadium shows, if I was drinking one and somebody grabbed it and used it to hit their opponent in the face, I’d be pissed. I’d be all like: “HEY! I know you’re upset, but that was my beer, you son of a bitch!”
  5. He slammed Cody on the ladder OWWW
  6. The eternally miserable John Mellencamp looked absolutely thrilled to be there
  7. Street Profits.
  8. Yeah, thankfully it seems like the crowd got a bit more into it towards the end. The muted crowd reaction certainly wasn’t due to a lack of effort from the participants.
  9. Damn, Ciampa got his face legit busted up there.
  10. Well in my case, it worked lol
  11. Best one I can remember, and definitely miles ahead of last year. I was happier with the winner last year, but this year at least the match was way better.
  12. I know everyone here hates Charlotte, but all I can say is thank goodness Nia Jax didn’t win that.
  13. Holy shit, that crowd reaction for Alexa Bliss.
  14. It was an accident!
  15. Whoa, Ivy eliminated Lyra.
  16. I was going to say, they are getting a bit of a traffic jam in there at this point.
  17. Agreed, it’s a great new feature.
  18. It’s funny you posted that, I was just about to say the same thing when I read, you had already said it. If B-Fab can be on the main roster than by gawd they should find room for Perez.
  19. Graham went on national TV and publicly accused Pat Patterson of being a child molestor, claiming he had actually witnessed it. He later recanted those accusations, and admitted that he only made them in an effort to hurt the McMahon family and the WWF, because he was upset he had been released. He devoted a large portion of his autobiography to admitting to this, and begging Patterson for forgiveness. This means that either: Graham falsely accused Pat Patterson of being a child molestor or… Graham really did witness Pat Patterson molesting children, and chose not to say anything about it until after he got fired, and then lied and said he didn’t witness it, in order to get back into Vince McMahon’s good graces Either way? He was a piece of shit. So there.
  20. I'm curious about how deep they will go into the problems of Superstar Billy Graham as well. I hope it isn't just a puff piece about "the poor guy introduced steroid abuse into Pro Wrestling and then fried his liver" and they actually get into all his other bullshit as well...his bizarre and almost obsessive love/hate/love/hate relationship with the McMahon family and the WWF, the false accusations against Pat Patterson, and his weird IRL feuds with other wrestlers like Dusty, Jericho and Abdullah. That dude was basically the carny's carny and I hope they expose him for it. And the Billy Jack Haynes episode? Phew! Plenty of material to mine there, and that's even before he murdered his wife. I'm very interested in the episode about The Sheik as well, although if they don't have Brian Solomon as one of the talking heads on that episodes, they're idiots. He wrote an outstanding biography about The Sheik a couple of years ago called "Blood and Fire" which is one of the most well researched books I have ever read. Even Sabu said there are facts about his Uncle in that book that even he didn't know. (The Sheik was notoriously private and extremely elusive when it came to "keeping kayfabe" and guarding details about his personal life.) I'm also curious if they got Sabu for that episode as well. Sabu has been on the show a bunch of times, but he is also extremely protective about his Uncle's reputation. He actually refused to assist in the writing of Blood and Fire, although he ended up praising the end result.
  21. Good Lord. How many freaking times can they re-tell that same bloody story?! Let’s ignore the fact that Foley wrote about that match extensively in his book. - He talked about it in depth on his “Three Faces of Foley” documentary. - Then they covered it again on his “Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops” DVD. - He did a One Man Show about it, which included a One Hour Live Special on the WWE Network. - They covered it extensively on his A&E Biography. - He did an episode about it on his podcast. - Most recently, Foley and Taker did a rewatch of the match on the WWE channel on YouTube. That’s not even mentioning all the other guys like Jim Ross, Bruce Prichard, etc. who have devoted podcasts to going through the match in excruciating detail. And Foley actually has the balls to complain occasionally that he’s sick of fans asking him about it, and he’s tired of talking about it.
  22. New season starts on March 25: Reported subjects: -Hell in a Cell (What?!) -Vader -Tony Atlas -Ludvig Borga -Billy Jack Haynes -Eddie Gilbert -Superstar Billy Graham -Daffney -Original Sheik -Muhammad Hassan
  23. Oh man…D’Amore issued a press release today that his Maple Leaf Promotion is going to be running the old Maple Leaf Gardens in May. I would not be able to go to the show anyways because I no longer live in Toronto and can’t go to events like that for health reasons, but the prospect of seeing wrestling again at Maple Leaf Gardens…that’s my childhood right there. Some of my best memories. It would be like going back in time to when things were good. But if I order that show, then I have to see a Baron Corbin match announced by Mauro Ranallo. I’m pretty sure that’s what hell will be like. But the prospect of seeing Pro Wrestling return to Maple Leaf Gardens after all these years…that’s some serious history.
  24. One of the things about this whole story which is hard to determine, is the financial aspect of it. It’s no secret that at one point last year, TNA was perilously close to closing their doors due to financial problems (of course, what else is new?) Remember there was that point where they actually had no new shows scheduled? Plus, there have been all those stories from talent of their pay getting cut, and I can’t imagine that a TNA wrestler makes a whole lot of money to begin with. I am wondering how much of this WWE deal is a financial bailout, similar in some ways to the way that WWE was secretly subsidizing ECW for a while back in the 90s, helping keep them afloat? I wonder if one of the main reasons Anthem agreed to this deal is because they pretty much had to for financial reasons? It’s no secret that TNA has been a money loser for pretty much every entity that has owned it. Anthem was only using it as a means of providing cheap content for their TV channels. I wish somebody would do a story and dig into the financial aspect of this formalized WWE/TNA deal. That’s the kind of thing you used to be able to count on Meltzer for, before he decided it was more important to be a Twitter troll.
  25. I’m guessing Cody/Cena for the WWE title at Wrestlemania and Punk/Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
