  2. New episode of WWE Warehouse is up with an Undertaker theme. The WWE Archivist has the coolest job... http://www.wwe.com/videos/playlists/wwe-warehouse-playlist
  3. JVK let me know if you want me to put it on youtube for you.
  4. On the same disc as the contract signing there is this: Match: Clip of Invader #1 defeating Dory Funk Jr. to win the WWC P.R. Title (Terry Funk comes in & attacks Invader afterwards,Title Change 10/16/82) I'll check it out sometime in the next couple days, I gotta copy that disc anyway.

  6. Very rarely listen to podcasts but I'm in for the Maddox talk.
  7. That was definitely my favorite Raw opening though. Can't believe they had to dub over the theme, I am pretty sure they have released it on multiple CDs.

    Chris Masters

This is apt but really depressed me.
  9. Before I contribute with my convoluted mess, I will just say I really like khawk's idea of a Jim Brunzell return in 89. Dylan's idea of Tajiri as ECW champ is definitely better than a Justin Credible reign. In The Undertaker's last real run before becoming a WrestleMania attraction, he disappeared due to a "mysterious" attacker and Kane went around for a while searching for the attacker before revealing that it was him. Before they did the Kane reveal, I thought it would be a neat twist to have them reveal Luke Gallows as the other son of Paul Bearer, the half brother of Kane. He even had the back story as fake Kane which he could reveal was his first attempt to attack The Brothers of Destruction. My original idea had them sticking to the kayfabe death of Paul Bearer, but he ended up returning so they could have even had Paul Bearer be the guy behind it all, looking for revenge against The Undertaker for "killing" him and Kane for not avenging him.

So Brad Maddox returned in a WWE app video. Kinda crazy, I was just thinking the other day that he would be an interesting guy to have come back as a manager with a grudge against The Authority or WWE as a whole. Not sure who you would give him to manage though. I like him a lot and hope they have at least have something interesting planned for him.
  11. I had Classics on Demand. I liked it a lot and never even considered cancelling it before I moved out of the apartment that I had it in. I know logically that The Network has way more content but I was much more satisfied with Classics.
  12. I am pretty sure it was Rick's idea to turn heel. Pretty sure I remember him on a previous shoot talking about having to work hard to talk Vince into letting him do it since Vince only saw him as a babyface.

  17. I preface this with just about every Brock post I make so I'm not sure who doesn't know this by now, but I am a huge Brock Lesnar mark. That said, I never thought they could get a return on their money once I heard what they were paying him. The people who paid to see him fight in the UFC weren't going to pay to see him wrestle in WWE. The crossover only worked one way, you couldn't reverse it. He wasn't a huge draw when they gave him the best push they've ever given anyone ever so it wasn't like bringing back a Rock or an Austin or even a Goldberg where you hope you can recapture lapsed fans. The smart thing to do would have been to accept that Brock couldn't bring in the money you were paying him so instead look at it as a short term investment in building a new star. Ryback or Sheamus would have been just fine. I guess they are going to try that with Roman Reigns so we'll see.
  18. Former subscriber. I have a ridiculous, and ever growing, wrestling collection. I have 100 discs of Puerto Rico I've barely scratched the surface of, around 80s discs of Southeastern/Continental, just about a complete run of Memphis TV from 1980-1988 and on and on and on. Which I never have time to watch. And all of those things I want to see more than old WWF or WCW PPVs. That said, it wouldn't really take that much to get me back on board. Pick an old territory and consistently upload new shows in order without randomly skipping episodes. The day they finally do that, they can have my money again.
  19. Advertisements are not what is keeping me from resubscribing. The fact that they seem to have forgotten how to upload things other than the regular weeklies is what isn't encouraging me to return.
  20. I thought working with Muta and having the show in Japan was supposed to guarantee them a big crowd...?
  21. Speaking of Don Leo Jonathan I watched his match with Verne Gagne and I was really impressed. Don Leo Jonathan had GREAT presence and knew how to make the most of his size. I also loved his incredibly arrogant response to Verne Gagne's handshake attempt to start the match where he just whips his ring jacket at Gagne's hand and turns around.

We are just living in the era of over reactions.

  24. I watched a match from November of 1970 between Bob Kelly and The Masked Intern from Gulf Coast Wrestling. What a time warp. I could not tell if Bob Kelly had wrestling trunks that were made to look like jean shorts or if he just had on a pair of super small women's jean shorts. The finishes to the falls were something else, the first fall ended in submission as Bob Kelly made The Intern submit to an armbar with repeated knee drops. Bob Kelly lost the second fall after being hit with a knee lift after running the ropes and The Intern was DQ'd in the 3rd fall for suplexing Kelly back off the apron into the ring. Then we got a promo from Bob Kelly putting over the "City of Meridian" tag team championship tournament and displaying the championship which was not represented by title belts but by starter type jackets that said "City of Meridian Tag Champion" on them.
  25. I'm in kind of in the same boat as not getting worked up and not caring too much about the results, but I do enjoy the discussion. I especially like when people write up a long bio like the one KrisZ did for Mr. Wrestling II. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/16784-my-won-hof-opus-of-mr-wrestling-ii/
