It's a lot easier to leave the talent out there than to get it back. Trying to get everyone to agree on parameters for an expansion draft is just going to lead to another big contentious fight. I'd see more people quitting over an expansion draft that takes away pieces of talent that are in the middle of big plans than it actually helping bring in new writers. I have 39 wrestlers on my roster. Only 11 of them aren't involved in some type of plan/story/angle. 2 of them are going to get dropped into free agency by the end of the month when I get done with them. The rest of them are either total jobbers or really low on the card. There's no way an expansion draft wouldn't totally screw up my plans. Carl Fergie is only getting used as a referee so I'm not sure that should count.

I want people who voted yes on the inactivity question to explain what inactivity means to them. Because if we're talking about Flyin Brian type inactivity of totally disappearing and not signing into the board for over a month, why are we voting on that? No one argued that his promotion should be saved for him until/if he came back. Are you just essentially voting that Wahoos Leg and/or El Boricua should be kicked out for not posting shows? I voted no because it's not defined and I don't want either of those guys to be kicked out when they are at least still participating on some level, especially when there is no one to take their place.

Yep, that's exactly what it was supposed to be. The problem is we have one person who keeps trying to change the rules to suit their expansion desires.

I'm so tired of constantly arguing over this shit because a couple people wanna act like vultures and try to do anything they can do get MORE STARS~! on their roster. This game isn't TEW it was never supposed to be like TEW. If you want to have unfettered access to every talent in the game then just go play TEW and when you want someone in another promotion just edit the dates left on their contract down to 1 so it makes negotiations easier.

I don't even think that Boricua and Wahoo should be counted right now as the dummy promotions considering they are still taking PMs and doing deals and at least saying they're gonna get caught up. I'm working out a deal with Wahoo right now.

So what is your stance then Beast? If NWATerritorySuperFan and Boon make an agreement between themselves to use Gordon Solie? You're gonna boot him out of the NWA over an announcer? I don't understand how this is some huge sticking point.

I doubt that very much considering if a guy was coming to Georgia from the AWA, they would show a video sent from the AWA to hype them up and vice versa. Verne Gagne went to the NWA meetings.

Because it's two paychecks why should he really care? Wrestlers didn't have some allegiance to NWA or AWA only.

Because they both have different champions. I don't want to book the NWA World Champ or the NWA Tag Champs, I want to use the AWA Champs like Southwest did in real life.

If Boon and the Florida writer with the overly long name are happy sharing Gordon Solie then that's the end of story.

Why do Georgia and Florida have to even be treated as "rival" factions? Seems like their owners are getting along just fine to me. AWA & NWA World Champions would sometimes work on the same card. There is too much being made of a NWA vs. AWA "feud" that's not really there. In this game or in real life.

Gotta agree with Beast this whole thing of trying to somehow re-open all the dead promotions is going WAY too far. Just leave the IWF alone and that can be the one open promotion someone gets if they want to come in. No one has jumped in yet after the call for new writers. Why can't we just leave the whole roster there? It's one roster. There are still 11 others (Southeastern, Southwest, WWA, WWC, WCCW, JCP, Mid-South, ICW, Florida, Memphis, Montreal) that are active in PMs to do deals with. Treat it as a phantom promotion that's still running and we're just not getting the results of if that makes it more palatable.

I just have zero understanding of what the point of this is. The whole Georgia thing already went down we shouldn't be going BACKWARDS to change shit that already happened. Make new rules for what is going to happen in the future. We already had the mergers of Portland/Vancouver, Central States/WWA, WWF/Montreal and Georgia/Southeastern. You can't put the genie back in the bottle.

Change the rules going forward and leave IWF (and Stampede if peachchaos officially drops) alone and go from there you can't go back in time on what's already done.

You can't just change all the rules mid-game, JHawk is using Central States titles as well.

No one is going to drop anything good in free agents though. If I gotta trim my roster for a cap it's going to be guys like Bulldog Brower and Moose Morowski. This is why just leaving dummy promotions with their intact rosters is a more feasible way of getting in new writers because no one is ever going to leave anything of REAL value in the free agent pool.

So now I gotta go back and re-do my shit too and retcon that The Texas Dynasty didn't have the National Tag Titles? I don't like this retcon stuff at all. This is just too much trying to "fix" what was done instead of just moving forward with new rules.

Really loved the hype for Abby and the Manny/Lewin match got wild at the end. I wonder if Roop getting stuck on repeat is going to lead to him becoming Maya Singh? I'm really digging the Briscos stuff here at first I didn't think Black Bart & Ron Bass felt like good opponents for them but you've changed my mind. Gordon using his patented "brother I tell you" line got a big smile out of me. Really strong second show building off of the first and a great use of pictures throughout. Very authentic Florida show with Gordon feeling very much like Gordon and even Barbary Clary being there. I'm glad you jumped in and kept Florida from going under. Show seemed longer than an hour though, especially with some of the longer match times.

I agree with most of what Super Stan says. Not participating in any way should be grounds for removal, but if you're at least engaged in the project even if it's just drafts and PMs then you should be in as long as you want to be. We also have to leave some kind of opening for new writers especially since we are seemingly all in agreement that losing active promotions is bad even if we disagree about everything else. Unfortunately I don't see that stopping and I don't think an expansion draft is really all that viable as a way to get in new writers.

I'm not a big fan of the inactivity question due it not being defined so I voted no despite supporting Flyin' Brian being removed. But he was TOTALLY inactive. I don't consider people answering PMs, doing trade deals and taking part in drafts to be inactive. If they're behind on posting shows, they're behind on posting shows but not inactive.

Just finished watching Terry Daniels vs. Dutch Mantell. That was actually a really good little undercard match. Less than 6 minutes of action but Dutch was great at getting heat and Daniels got a little bit of shine before going down. I would recommend this for sure if you're a fan of good little undercard matches and/or Dutch Mantell.

Heck yea. And make sure you sign up for NWAClassics for at least a month so you can watch all Hector/Chavo matches and include them on your ballot

Not sure if anyone else but shoe watched the Fantastics vs. Jerry Grey/Eddie Gilbert match that has been up for a while but I watched it this morning and liked it a lot. Not a 'great' match but a really fun one and Gilbert takes one of the best bumps off a punch I've ever seen in an exchange with Bobby Fulton.
