  16. Bad taste would have been the turn happening during the announcement, or when the three of them all were bumping fists. This was just a good wrestling angle.
  17. Turn by Ambrose was fantastic and I think it got peak reaction exactly because of when they did it. Loved the Elias face turn as well, it felt like something from the territorial studio days when a heel would get interrupted by another heel and then complain about his time being disrupted. Necessity was the mother of invention for the creative team this week, I suppose...
  18. my thoughts as well... and also why I find it's pretty easy to at least form an educated guess on who Meltzer's sources are Same goes for Brie Bella. I forget where I saw it, but imagine if it had been, say, Dana Brooke or Alicia Fox who had KO'd Liv Morgan, and not the spouse of a longtime friend/source of Da Meltz? He reminds me, at least currently, of some people I ran into during my years of college football coverage, who had their "guys" (i.e., sources), and would always slant the coverage to favor those individuals.
  19. Them starting their own promotion and teaming up with Billy Corgan would be a most interesting scenario
  20. This summarizes my thoughts on the matter. They're better off staying where they are unless the money WWE throws at them is just too much to turn down... and I just can't see them paying that much for them as a group Also, when I saw Meltzer's report, my guess (and it's a total guess) was that Elgin was the source, given his general floundering on the card since re-upping and past grousing about his professional lot
  21. Maybe the pressure to maintain a certain level of ratings will finally be the impetus to improve from a booking standpoint
  22. I switched over at the last American show when he bitched about the legal man during the Bucks/LIJ tag. I was also curious because JR made a few snarky comments about the pairing heading into it.
  23. How did JR and Kevin mesh on commentary
  24. This match made me believe. The reaction after Gresham got the tapout -- both by the crowd and Gresham's shocked reaction -- might be one of my favorite moments in wrestling of the entire year. The commentary from Riccaboni and Colt really sold it as a potential title change, even though I already knew the outcome., Jay Lethal bores me as a top guy a lot of the time but he was damn fine here as the hard-hitting champion. Gresham is a jewel. I've seen a fairly wide variety of his matches this year, from an assortment of companies, and every time he brings something unique.
