  1. Why do they keep using Shane. He looks like he's going to have a heart attack out there.
  2. Flair is a liar. First Raw and it was at the Mahattan Center was January 11th. On the 18th he had that loser leaves town match. It was one week. He wasn't on the first Raw. He had that match with Tito week 2 and the Hennig match was week 3.
  3. I think he would have ended up in WCW by 1995 at the latest if he had stayed. I don't see any place for him in the company past Yokozuna getting the belt. Would he have really been okay with being the #4 or #5 heel on the roster and working with stiffs every night?
  4. That one Hogan/Orndorff cage match is really good.
  5. I'll be interested to see if David Starr gets a second chance. It sounds like his match with Fred Yehi kind of bombed.
  6. Going back to the PWG show I watched a week or so ago. Good God that Marty Scurll vs. Jay White match sucked ass. If you told me they never invited Jay White back I wouldn't be surprised at all. The crowd was trying so hard to like that match too and it just wasn't happening,
  7. b]CWF Worldwide #11: 12/13/2017[/b] taped from Gibsonville, NC Cedric Alexander has a sit down interview. He talks about how he's never been given the opportunity to be the man in a wrestling promotion. No one has ever said that they believed in him to carry a promotion. That's why he's so excited to get this title match with Trevor Lee. This is his chance to finally be at the top of a wrestling promotion. He can show everyone that he's more than able to meet the challenges and demands of being the man. Logan Easton Laroux d. Adrian Armour w/ a German suplex Lucas Calhoun got involved and tripped Armour up at a key moment that allowed Laroux to get the win. Brian Fury and CW Anderson are backstage. Anderson announces that they have a title shot against the All Stars at Battlecade. He has a surprise in store for everyone at Battlecade. These two old timers are going to take those tag titles and show all of these young punks how real wrestlers handle their business. CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Jake Manning and Grizzly Redwood are out for their match. Manning says a Scout is never afraid. They're more than ready to deal with Murder1 and Chip Day. He let's Grizzly know that there could be some merit badges on the line for him tonight. Great Outdoors d. KRAKAN w/ the Wood Chipper During the match Murder1 beat up on Manning and Redwood a lot. After the match they both retreated to the back as quickly as possible. Caprice Coleman is backstage. At Battlecade he's got a match with Andrew Everett. People tend to forget because it was so long ago but there was a time that he ruled the Mid-Atlantic area. Andrew Everett is a man that gets a lot of hype but he doesn't have near the resume of Caprice Coleman. He's going to give Everett a wrestling lesson at Battlecade. Main Event: Rock n Rave Infection d. Cedric Alexander and CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee w/ the Texas Tower Bomb Alexander caught Lee with a superkick by mistake which allowed Archer to hit the Texas Tower Bomb and pin Lee. After the match Lee blasts Alexander in the face with a kick and hits with him a double stomp off the top rope. Next Week: Main Event: Andrew Everett vs. Jimmy Rave The Sandwich Squad vs. Juicy Product Chet Sterling vs. Ethan Case
  8. I really enjoyed the Bucks vs. Fenix/Pentagon vs. Ricochet/Sydal match from Good Boys Don't Play Rock n Roll. Pentagon and Fenix stopping and putting their masks correctly on the Bucks heads had me rolling for no particular reason. Also, they did that same spot that someone posted a gif of them doing at an RoH show. It didn't look anywhere near as bad because they used better shots of it. Also, loving this Chuck Taylor run. Taylor trying to be more serious and a legit main event wrestler has been very compelling so far.
  9. I like Tully squashes a lot from the mid 80s. He gives just a little bit to a lot of the jobbers which leads to fun matches. I also enjoy Koloff and the Midnights just murdering jobbers left and right.
  10. From the start? As in 2003 No, I just started with the first show of 2017 and am moving my way forward.
  11. I'm on show 2 of PWG. I'm really enjoying the promotion so far. The matches get a little ridiculous but that's part of the charm. I really like the announcers for PWG. They do a really good job of mixing humor while putting the talent and company over.
  12. Sami Callihan has the very rare ability to make me both love and hate him within the span of the same match.
  13. That was great. I liked the shot after Lee destroyed everyone and he's going after Wilkins and you can just see Royal half hanging out of the ropes not moving.
  14. Trevor Lee vs. Roy Wilkins First Blood Match was a masterful display of violence.
  15. Trevor Lee in PWG and Trevor Lee in CWF Mid-Atlantic are like two completely different wrestlers. It's kind of amazing to see how versatile he is.
  16. CWF Worldwide #10: 12/6/2017 taped from Gibsonville, NC CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions The All Stars come out. Arik Royal says it's a big night for their challengers Ethan Case and George Gatton. They get a shot at these belts. He says this is the All Stars doing some community service for a couple of up and coming wrestlers in the sport. Wilkins says that the All Stars always want to give back to the sport that has given them so much. He wishes Ethan Case and George Gatton luck tonight. Lucas Calhoun d. Andrew Everett w/ a roll up Calhoun used the ropes to help him pin Everett. Adrian Armour comes out and tries to convince the referee to reverse the decision. Lucas Calhoun nails Armour with a karate chop as a result. The Sandwich Squad gets on the mic before their match. Aaron Biggs talks about Brian Fury and CW Anderson. They might be veterans of the sport but the Sandwich Squad has ruled the Carolinas for a couple of years now. They aren't going to just roll over and let those guys take their spot in this state. If they want to earn a shot at the tag team titles then they'll have to beat the Sandwich Squad. Brian Fury and CW Anderson d. The Sandwich Squad w/ a pop-up powerbomb Corey Edsel comes down to the ring. Cedric Alexander comes out first followed by Lance Archer and Jimmy Rave. Edsel said that he spent the entire week trying to decide who should get the first title shot. Ultimately he decided that a coin flip was the only fair way to determine who the first challenger should be. He tells Archer to call it in the air. Archer calls heads and the flip comes up tails. Cedric Alexander pumps his fist and jumps on the turnbuckles. Suddenly Archer attacks. He choke slams Alexander off the ropes and then hits a pump handle slam. Archer and Rave put the boots to Alexander until CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee runs in for the save. Main Event: CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Title Match: The All Stars © d. Ethan Case and George Gatton w/ the Kurt Cobain Sick Kick Chip Day is backstage. He signed a match to face Grizzly Redwood and Jake Manning in a tag team match last week. Until this point it's been 2 on 1 but he made some calls and he's brought a friend to the Carolinas. Murder1 walks on screen and shakes hands with Chip Day as the show fades to black. Next Week: Main Event: Rock n Rave Infection vs. Cedric Alexander and CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Trevor Lee Great Outdoors vs. KRAKAN Logan Easton Laroux vs. Adrian Armour
  17. CWF Worldwide #9: 11/29/2017 taped from Gibsonville, NC 2017 Johnny Weaver Memorial Cup Winner Cedric Alexander comes down to the ring. He tells the fans that it was a real honor to take part in the tournament for this trophy. It's a real honor to own something that bears the name of an absolute wrestling legend like Johnny Weaver. Now it's time for him to get ready for his next big match and that's challenge Trevor Lee for the CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. He knows that Battlecade is coming up on December 30th and he thinks that would be a great time to challenge for the belt. Lance Archer interrupts. He mentions that he is the only man that has pinned CWF Mid-Atlantic. He might not have a fancy trophy but he's pinned the champion and that should count for someone. Lance Archer climbs into the ring and just as it looks like they'll come to blows Corey Edsel comes out. He tells them he doesn't want some giant brawl starting this show off. He tells them that they will both get title shots and he will determine who gets the first shot on next week's show. Chet Sterling d. Jason Kincaid w/ the Blockbuster Chip Day is backstage. For the last couple of months he's had to tolerate the shenanigans of Jake Manning and Grizzly Redwood. Everytime he has to wrestle one, he has to deal with the other one getting involved. Well that all ends tonight. He's going to win the Mid-Atlantic Television Title and he won't be giving Jake Manning a rematch. Ethan Case and George Gatton d. The Carnies w/ the Floplex Ethan Case and George Gatton celebrate the victory by high fiving all the fans at ringside. The CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions The All Stars were doing guest commentary during the match. Roy Wilkins gets on the mic. He tells the crowd that he was impressed by what he saw from Case and Gatton in that match That's why the All Stars have decided to give them a title shot on next week's show. Brian Fury and CW Anderson are backstage. Anderson talks about how he's been described as bitter. He wrestled in ECW when it was still alive and he has to hear those punks dismiss him as old. Yeah, maybe he's a little bitter. Guys like Brian Fury, they understand the struggle to make a living in wrestling unlike all these kids. That's why he and Fury are forming a tag team and they're coming for those tag team title belts. Wilkins and Royal call themselves the All Stars. Well, you're looking at the real all stars in Brian Fury and CW Anderson. Main Event: CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Title Match: Jake Manning © d. Chip Day by DQ Grizzly Redwood tried to slip Manning a pair of brass knuckles during the match but Day caught him. Day flipped Redwood over the ropes and rammed him into Manning. Day grabbed the knuckles and nailed Manning with them. The referee called for the DQ. Next Week: Main Event: CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Title Match: The All Stars © vs. Ethan Case and George Gatton The Sandwich Squad vs. Brian Fury and CW Anderson Andrew Everett vs. Lucas Calhoun
  18. Worldwide tended to have more competitive matches and more angle advancement. It would definitely be a great addition to the existing content. It was really kind of a separate universe in a lot of ways to World Championship Wrestling. You had guys that would appear on one show and not the other. The angles were usually the same though. But they are not super redundant and add a lot of good context to some feuds like Valiant/Jones.
  19. I could see that and they probably do. The fact that he is so over would probably make them more inclined to bury him than push him.
  20. Rusev feels like they could make him with a win here. I think you could even screw him out of his Mania title shot and be okay. But he's at a critical mass right now and winning something big is what he needs.
  21. The problem there is that they've been so hell bent on that for Wrestlemania that they continue to gloss over feuds that got hot because they didn't plan for it. If they were being logical, Joe would have gotten a long term program and Braun would have won the title.
  22. Ignoring the spoilers. I think if they were smart they would take a risk and have Rusev win it.
  23. True. Only surpassed in thinness by college football head coaches. And stand up comics.
  24. I would say 90% of the wrestlers out there have really thin skin in general.
