That seems to be a requirement for employment at ESPN.

I don't even know why they would want him. He came back last time and he was almost instantly phoning it in and seemed completely miserable.

Yeah but look at the ratings when Rollins was on top. He chased like a third of the audience away and it hasn't gotten better. Roman hasn't really moved the needle in any sort of positive way and I think parts of his run have hurt ratings. Like I said, he isn't a proven failure like Rollins but then no one has failed as big as Rollins did.
-
Yeah but who cares about long term. You have him beat Lesnar back in September and murder smash people until people are sick of it. Might be 6 months, might be a year. Who cares if you make more money than you would have otherwise in the same timeframe.
-
I mean Rollins and Reigns have tanked ratings to historic lows in a very short period of time. Rollins more than Reigns but you can't really argue they are doing well.

My biggest issue is I hate having a part time champion. It was terrible the last time he was champ and they decided to go even longer with him this time. Edit: I also hate this as a main event. They both have more meaningful feuds they could pay off here with either guy facing Braun or Joe. I think the crowds would actually be hotter for that. I really don't need the original match revisted as Lesnar is 4 years older and apparently doesn't give a shit anymore.

I thought the Joe match was disappointing and the Summerslam match was more the Braun Strowman Happy Fun Time Murder Show. The Styles match to me is more the exception for his inring work.

4 straight Manias is a long time with the amount of TV. People are against him because he's been so forced. He has the same problem Randy Orton does. You can never let your guard down even if you think he's getting moved down the card because they're just waiting to start a new push for him. Everything with Roman feels forced to a degree. And part of the problem with this match with Lesnar is it was obvious for a year where they were going to it rendered an entire year of programs meaningless. People wanted to see Joe and Braun vs. Lesnar more and both got glossed over because Lesnar is a part timer and we needed to get to that Mania match. I know we all bitch about their lack of long term planning but this past year is exactly how you don't approach long term booking. We're going into Year 5 of Roman the main eventer. People were getting tired of Hogan at this point and they were turning Austin and Rock heel well before this point in their runs. He's past a main eventers expiration date and he never really got over to begin with.

I would say War Machine are probably breaking about even and Ricochet is probably taking a pay cut but not a huge one. It might even out with less travel. But that's really just a guess. I tend to think only a small minority of indy guys are making so much that WWE isn't a more viable long term place to go.

Buddy Rogers Buddy Rose Buddy Landell Not a lot but a high ratio of good for that name.
-
His character is so stale too. He was still a useful talent until Corporate Kane and then it's just been downhill since then.
-
A couple of minutes would have been better as well. I can't believe they gave him the belt for a year. I really wish Braun had beaten him back in September.

I think she's okay but is over pushed for her talent and experience level.
-
I think Baszler is getting the legit athlete credit defense right now.
-
I wouldn't call Niven world class but she's a good heel and she has good offense. I liked her MYC match with Storm a lot. She's what I think everyone is sitting around waiting for Nia to grow into. Niven doesn't have the same raw athletic talent but she has more personality and a far better offense.
-
I really wish they had signed Piper Niven after the Mae Young because she's a far better version of Nia. I don't care for Baszler either. She reminds me of all those shitty MMA guys that came through New Japan in the early 00s. I like some of the current women's stuff a lot and feel some of the other stuff is a little overrated due to the novelty of it. The Hell in a Cell and Rumble were really good. I thought the EC was okay.
-
I kind of agree that some of the women's stuff gets over praised especially if you have a decent amount of exposure to Joshi. Meltzer does frequently defend Baszler from criticism though.

Legit one of the best sellers in the business. I just watched his match with Sabre Jr. at Head Like A Cole today. I thought the match was pretty mediocre as a whole but I thought he sold like a motherfucker for the leg work that Sabre did. I usually don't find Sabre's matwork to ever feel dangerous or meaningful but Trent really made it look like Sabre was destroying his leg.
-
I liked RPG Vice but watching his singles work in PWG is where I really turned a corner on him. He really knows how to milk every moment in a match. He knows the exact moment to slow it down or to speed it up. He works a good underneath face with his selling and he's also a good douche bag heel as well.
-
I find Zack Sabre Jr. to be consistently underwhelming whenever I see him. The only times that I have enjoyed him are in multi-man tags in New Japan where his work is fairly limited. I just don't get it. Everything feels like a grapplefuck with him and some of the shit he tries doesn't make sense with what he was previously doing. Now, to be positive about someone. I used to fucking hate Trent? but my opinion has really turned around on him. I think he's a lot of fun and he seems to be really great at pacing out a good match and playing face/heel.

I really don't give a shit about Lesnar/Reigns. They kind of stumbled into all of these interesting avenues and combinations of guys that had more interesting feuds. They really have done nothing to make you more excited for that particular match. I would be more interested in a main event with Lesnar/Braun, Lesnar/Joe, Joe/Reigns or Braun/Reigns as the match. But you know, those guys actually interacted and had good segments or matches with each other over the last year.
-
Can't do that because Reigns just needs that big Mania win to finally get the crowd to accept him. Just insert a year on this one.
-
I am so tired of the Reigns push. I don't even grudge watch anymore. It's just boring. You get behind someone or enjoy something or a feud gets hot and you know it's only going to go so far or get derailed because of the Reigns push.
-
He dropped that last guy right on his head. The other stuff whatever but that powerbomb was dangerous as fuck.

Twitter is just a cesspool. And a really shitty bloated app and website for what it does.
