Yes because he would still become the son and law and would have wormed his way up there. He just would have circumvented Austin and Bret and still gotten the runs on top.
-
I think HHH depends on when he and Stephanie started hooking up.
-
Now that is interesting. Because he gets made by Foley. You take Foley's title reigns and feud with the Rock away and I don't see how he gets accepted as a main eventer by the fans. I'm guessing we get the same HHH without that 10 month run where he was attached to some hot feuds.
-
He did have Taker.Taker wasn't Bret though. And that Rock/Foley stuff came about because Austin and Taker were off the table.
-
Vince plays it safe until he loses his security blankets. Rock and Foley happened because he didn't have any other options. So if he still had Bret hanging around, he would have gone safe with Rock/Bret.
-
Bret wouldn't have had the same juice as Foley. People wanted to see Foley win, they wanted him to have his big moment. With Bret you wouldn't have had the same emotional payoff.
-
I also don't know how quietly Bret moves down the card. I think he puts Austin over just fine but I think there would come a point where he would want the belt back. I think there's also a strong possibility that he steals Foley's title reigns.
-
I would say Bret goes well into the 2000s if he doesn't suffer that concussion.
-
On the WCW side. Shawn works maybe a handful of matches before having to hang them up for good. I think in this scenario. WCW does the same overall and WWF does a lot worse. The Mr. McMahon character loses a little something without screwing Bret. I also think Rock and Austin suffer a little for not having as clean of a break from the previous generation of main eventer.

How many wrestling bear matches are on tape. I know I've seen Victor once and the matches with the Destroyer and I think Tracy Smothers or Bob Armstrong. Are there more past those 3?
-
I find Edge to be mostly inoffensive. He's still probably Cena's signature opponent after all these years which is saying something. I also don't think him being on top for 6 years is really that big a deal when you consider the promotion had 2 brands at the time and he alternated between the two. That was also an era where the top of the card was kind of in transition. He was also in the promotion for almost a decade before being a top guy. If I had to rate him I would save average to above average with bouts of good mixed in.

They did that shit here in February. Sunday night with a 7:30 bell. You know that shit is going to midnight with how long their shows go. So I didn't get a ticket. It's so hard to give a crap about what you're watching once you cross the 3 hour mark.

Are there any specific details to Juvy injuring Brad Armstrong in 2000? This is an incident I never knew about until about a week ago. Someone had asked when Armstrong had left, I had always assumed that he got released in that culling where guys like Eaton were let go. I was surprised to see that he was injured because Juvy hit him with a car.

Has any other top star had such a lackluster career like Orton?

HHH did have about 10 months of fairly good in 2000 early 2001. -
I think he's done. He's using crutches a lot.
-
Depends on if they get on the new channels and if they get decent time slots. I think it opens a new market or two but doesn't have a huge impact.
-
It probably would neither hurt or help him. Your average American voter probably doesn't know what that is and would go glassy eyed about 30 seconds into actually explaining it. The anarcho-capitalist ideal is really just something for political nerds to get in pissing matches with each other over online.

You are a saint sir.

The AJPW/Noah Spilt - Online fans perspective from that time

In hindsight it seems like they should have given KENTA a shot with the belt in that 2005-2006 time frame. They also maybe should have had Akiyama beat Kobashi for the belt in that Tokyo Dome show match. -
I got the 1986 season of TV. What else is there as far as footage?
-
Sika is. Khan was getting old at this point and OMG seemed content to cash his paycheck and nothing more in the WWF.
-
It really was. Felt like the promotion was running red hot until they did that stupid shutdown angle that they've never quite recovered from booking wise.
-
I actually had the WM3 match with Andre as kind of where he went into safe mode. So I think we're thinking about the same time frame.

Dude, There wasn't anything underwhelming about Hogan's ring work during that first reign, especially the first year. I would say his ringwork was good until you hit 87 and he got really formula. I know when I watched a lot of house shows from this era he was in the best or the second best match of the night. There were good matches with Muraco, Savage, Orndorff, Bundy, Orton and even random TV stuff with Johnny Rodz. The Piper matches always disappointed but I put that on Piper more than I do Hogan.

We can even go back to RoH for Rollins to show how mediocre he is as a top guy.
