He's only the Television Champ still. The match he beat Punk in was only to face Misterio and the belt wasn't actually on the line. He and Punk had a rematch for the title this week and Punk beat him to retain this time around. Someone on another board is kind enough to post the OVW show every Sunday afternoon.

It must be getting really bad in OVW if Seth Skyfire is main eventing shows now. I've never seen anything special in him as a worker.

I also downloaded a copy of Cactus Jack vs. Mil Mascaras at Clash of the Champions X. Nothing match but Cornette really sold Foley getting knocked off the apron and onto the floor like death. I really miss big moves actually having some meaning. Now falling off the apron is a transition move almost.

McMichael manages to ruin the announce team. Bischoff isn't as bad as I remember him being. He actually talked about Sabu, who debuted on this episode, winning the IWGP Junior Title earlier in the year. This episode also reminded me of how much I hated the V.K. Wallstreet gimmick that Mike Rotunda had.

I also have to say that "where the big boys play" was a great slogan.

I got a copy of the second ever Nitro and it has the infamous "Shawn Michaels beats the big guy with 3 superkicks."

I thought they wanted to turn Muta face and Hart convinced him to refuse or something along those lines.

No, he's a comedian who's a regular on the Opie and Anthony show. About a year or so ago he talked about working for them on the air.

Patrice O'Neal used to be a writer for the WWF and he was telling some story about I think it was Tiger Jeet Signh's kid that utterly failed in the 90s. I guess he didn't like the gimmick and thought it was degrading. So he was backstage begging Vince to not have to wear the turbin he had. So Vince quietly listened and after he was done just said "put on the turbin." Not evil or anything but kind of funny.

Why not just let go of the sign if he started to drive off? My theory is that this guy was shoving his sign in their face and Doane put the window up and the sign got caught in the window and it tore when he drove off. This guy sounds to me to just be out for money. Especially after trying to hit them up for money over the phone first thing.

It's a real shame with Raw. I'd watch just for Edge and John Cena but the DX stuff is so awful that I can't sit through it.

I downloaded some Deep South Wrestling matches today. I really like the look of the show as it reminds me of the old studio matches. Matches were kind of bland though.

Wow, the DX stuff last night was almost painful to watch.

First WWF Champ that I can think of. Sabu doesn't surprise me though. He always self destructs when a national promotion gives him a chance. I say he gets fired but they keep Van Dam.

I love this. RVD complained for months about not being given the ball. They finally give him the ball and he's arrested for drugs within a month.

Looking it up he would've been 66 for that match.

Yeah, the Sheik suffered really horrible burns on that one. How old would the Sheik be in 92? He'd have to be in his late 60s/early 70s I think.
