History of the WWE Championship DVD Match List
Mad Dog replied to sek69's topic in NMB Wrestling Archive
Ugh... these DVDs are really starting to annoy me. Stop double and triple dipping on matches already. Every DVD they release has at least 1 or 2 matches that's on another DVD. That Hogan/Sheik match has to have been on at least 6 DVDs over the last 4 years. I'm also annoyed that Race/Backlund didn't make it as I voted for that one. -
It's short and not very good but it was the only Jonathan match on there. If you've never really seen Jonathan I highly recommend you watch this to get an idea of how agile a guy he was. He's over 280 lbs. and doing kip ups.

Got it and watched the whole thing today. My only complaint is that of course HHH had to put his 2 cents in like he does on every fucking DVD.

Wrestling thoughts that probably don't deserve

http://filsingergames.com/legendsofwrestling.htm I've talked about this game before but I thought I'd make a post on it because a new set's coming out soon. It's going to have the Grand Wizard, Ivan Koloff, Curt Hennig, The Fabulous Kangaroos, Bullet Bob Armstrong and Brad Armstrong in it. -

The Rock/Hogan match at X-8 really shows the attitude of the WWF. It still amazes me that JR and Lawler were trying to play it off as a mixed reaction when the crowd was cheering every Hogan move and booing every Rock move. Everything has to be scripted to the last detail, you can't go with the flow at all. At least Hogan and the Rock were smart enough to change their roles during the course of the match. -

Warrior/Savage is probably my favorite match ever. -

A lot of people are like that with the whole ECW thing. I bet a lot of the so called huge marks for it now weren't even 10 years old when it was still on the air. -

I wouldn't mind his size as much if big men didn't have to sell for him like he was Superman. His build doesn't go with his act or style at all. -
Yeah, I love how everything good that happens is Heyman's brainchild but everything that's awful was somehow the work of someone else. It's amazing how brainwashed he was the internet.
-
I watched a lot of ECW, more than most of the mutants actually, and this was terrible. I used to watch fucking WOW on a regular basis and it was never as bad as this show was. Honestly the most entertainment I got out of this was the Zombie.
-
The 2 actual matches weren't even 2 minutes in length.
-
I'm in total awe of this show. It might actually have been the worst thing I've ever seen as far as wrestling shows.
-
The Zombie for ECW Champion. His promo was much better than RVD's.
-
They've tried ECW chants a couple of times but they just quietly go nowhere.
-
This is off to a great start. The WWF guy got cheered for attacking the ECW guy. Failed ECW chants and they didn't give a shit about RVD's promo.

He wasn't in wrestling very long. He did WCW for about 3 months and then basically retired because he made more at his day job. When he was on he was one of the best high fliers you'll ever see.

The DX reformation makes me think of a promo Edge did on Sean Waltman in the fall of 2001. He ripped on him for still doing the DX act and ripped on that for being out of date. That was almost 5 years ago. Shawn Michaels is just a sad pathetic little man to me. He's built like an old lady and he's a guy in his mid 40s trying to play a teen heart throb. -
Wow... they've really captured how horribly ECW was for most of it's existence. Good for them.
-
I want Cena to win in 5 seconds just to piss off all the mutants.
-
I'll give out duds for matches but I won't do negative stars. I find that scale to hard to properly use. So if it's a dud it's a dud. I thought Goldust was clearly the best worker on Raw in 2002. His comebacks, his selling and his gimmick was just off the charts. It was a shame that he wasn't quite as good in TNA though his match with Kid Kash at Final Resolution featured him doing some awesome selling.
