  2. That's a huge rating for them. The highest ECW ever pulled was a 1.3 and that was in a much better timeslot. What's the highest Velocity ever did on Saturday?
  3. When you're looking for bad title reigns there are several things to take into consideration: 1. Was the reign counterproductive to the company. 2. Did they actually lose the belt or were they stripped of it. 3. Were they on the level of the title they were holding (a world title guy slumming is ok because it still makes the belt seem credible.) 4. Did the belt serve it's purpose. In the case of the US/IC belt either being the peak a mid-card wrestler can achieve or letting a future world champion grow into the role of champion before moving on to bigger and better things. 5. Did they defend it on a regular basis.
  4. As I said in the other thread. HHH has been the best booked babyface in wrestling since around 2000.
  5. Von Erich was awful in the ring during his WWF run. It's very telling that Mr. Perfect couldn't even get a watchable match out of him. Plus his reign was everything that's wrong with wrestling as he should've been in rehab and getting counselling not being the No.2 man in the WWF. There are other reigns like Road Dogg and Dean Douglas that were bad reigns but they can at least say they didn't lose the belt because the WWF didn't want the bad pub of them killing themselves while the champ. Jarrett's reigns weren't really that bad. His run in 99 was pretty good until they jobbed him to Chyna. I'd argue he was the most over heel in the company during the summer. His mid 90s runs were lackluster but then his reigns were miles ahead of the horseshit that was going on with the WWF Title from Nash until Austin finally got the belt.
  6. I guess Jarrett was laughing all the way to the bank after that match though. I still don't blame him for holding up Vince for money right before then. The WWF should've been paying attention to when his contract expired/
  7. Yeah, HHH has been the best booked babyface in the company the last few years. I would die happy if the people declaring him the best heel ever would realize that.

  9. A Tombstone is actually as safe as you get as far as piledrivers go. In Japan a Tombstone is more you getting dropped on your back.

  14. Because it's entirely up to the other person to make sure your neck doesn't get broken. If they fuck up there's nothing you can do to break your fall.
  15. The thing is though Cena wasn't affecting buyrates while still pushing the merch. Ratings spikes are meaningless now because the WWF gets exactly $0 from ad revenue. It's all about buyrates, DVD sales and merch.
  16. A tiger driver.
  17. I actually had one of those "I'll never watch wrestling again" moments when she was in in the King of the Ring tournament and they were making it look like she'd win. Not that her winning the I.C. Title was any better.
  18. Here's another list for you. This time we take a look at the WWF's I.C. Title. As you'll quickly notice most of the sucky reigns were from about a 2 year period of time.
  19. Probably Scott Hall and Scott Steiner in 99.
  20. I'm shocked that people actually thought Edge was going to survive this title defense. HHH/Cena at Mania has to be for the belt because HHH has to main event Mania.
  21. I would disagree. Hansen's AWA Title reign kind of justifies him with the U.S. Title.
  22. I wouldn't have had a problem with Hayes getting the Television Title. I just don't think he's a secondary title kind of guy when it comes to being a singles wrestler.
  23. I'm doing this on another board and it's sparked some good discussion. I thought I'd give it a try here. These lists are also reigns so some of the later lists will have workers listed multiple times.
  24. Spike's Acid Drop was a pretty poor finisher when you realize the guys were carrying him around the ring for the most part. And any averaged sized wrestler could easily have tossed him on every attempt. Shane Douglas' belly to belly suplex was so bad that it was almost business exposing during his ECW run.
  25. I'd actually consider going to a WWF show again if they hired me as a seat filler.
