  1. This is my biggest issue with them. If you want to go to Saudi Arabia, okay, you're a business so go for the money. But you don't get to do that and then constantly jerk yourself off about how you're revolutionizing women's wrestling. You can do one or the other. You can either be all about the money and act accordingly or you can toot your own horn about how progressive you are and stick to your morality.
  2. Strowman kind of learned on the job though.
  3. If you haven't played it, the remake of Wonder Boy 3 is really fantastic. I've been working my way through that. This is a picture of my set up. It has a Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Atari 7800, Famicom, NES, SNES and N64. Not pictured but also in the room is a Neo Geo Pocket Color, Game Gear and most versions of the Game Boy. I also have an Atari 2600 but it's a Darth Vader one.
  4. I think he's just content with things as is. They need people with some vision, not guys just trying to tread water as much as possible.
  5. He's exposing the business!!! - Jim Cornette
  6. Whoever was big when wrestling was on the DuMont Network.

    Lesnar back in UFC

Just throw the belt in the trash. That's how much value it has.
  8. Going along with that. Watching old Mid-Atlantic TV, the studio seems like it's full of mostly middle aged women most weeks.
  9. I don’t think his inring work is good enough. I think he could be an IC mainstay if he worked there on a more regular basis.
  10. Anyone read Dan Severn's book? Good or bad?
  11. It really is. They have a great roster right now. Even the kind of dumb things like Joseph Park/Abyss are well done and compelling.
  12. I thought the story at the time was Mandy Leon was bullying her and that's why she got sabotaged.
  13. I actually watched it because I heard the story about the seat cushions. I didn't think it was 5 stars but it was a great match. It's not my favorite Vader match but it might be my favorite Mutoh match.
  14. It's shocking to say this but Impact is so much smarter about using guys in the right place and making you care about everyone on the show.
  15. I think that's a long term loser for them. The Bullet Club stuff will run it's course eventually and they will have absolutely nothing to offer as far as what people want to see. But they need a new booker badly. Nothing is going to change until Delirious is gone and probably Koff is gone as well.
  16. Scurll would have to not wrestle again because he would add some sort of mediocre sea captain gimmick to everything else he has.
  17. I got the first volume out of curiosity. I did kind of like the Undertaker comic back in the Attitude Era.
  18. I think a lot of people are watching it for the first time. I don't remember it being easy to find back when I was first getting into New Japan in the early 2000s. I had a couple of friends surprised it was out there when I mentioned it right after his death.
  19. I wish they would go back to Jay Briscoe. He was the most interesting champion they've had this decade.
  20. I know Cornette had some. He's talked about having stuff from 1980 and how boring it was. I imagine he hoards all of that stuff. Wrestling Gold has a match with very young Von Erichs in a six man match. I'm assuming that's from the late 70s in Dallas.
  21. Anyone read the WWE comic? Worth trying a trade of. ComiXology has a sale currently.
  22. I bet they have a lot less miles on their bodies though. You figure Kidman spent 7ish years doing that shit almost nightly.
  23. I guarantee he will get booked again. All of those indies using his ring will continue to use him and no one will say a thing. Why? Because he's not big enough or important enough to fuel the outrage machine that is social media. Ultimately most of the people complaining don't care. It's just a chance to dogpile on someone popular or it's a chance to ax grind with Omega.
  24. Hipsters I think, I'm not sure.
  25. A background check costs about what they are probably booking most guys for. So it would easily double their talent expenses. I have a friend that worked Kentucky indies and he said his biggest payoff ever was $40. A background check is about $20 from what I saw. A guy on reddit said they would just show up to fill a spot on a card and no one even knew who they were.
