  1. It's a shame they botched that surgery and cost him a couple of years. I think his CMLL stuff is pretty underrated as well.
  2. Coach is the fucking worst.
  3. I think he made the Hall in 2004 which would be a fair time.
  4. Not exactly a Hot Take. I can't imagine anyone in their right mind disagreeing with this. As a wrestler, yes. As a draw? The other things that usually go with being a WON HOF member? I could maybe buy influence because of Dragon Gate, but it's a lose call. He was one of the top 3 cruiserweights in WCW, for whatever that's worth. If he influenced Dragon Gate, that's pretty big. Also, there's a move named after him (that I think he also invented) - the Asai Moonsault. Good enough for the WON HOF. It evolved from Toryumon which he founded and he also trained a lot of the mainstays for DG.
  5. I would take Tanahashi and Okada over Nakamura easily.
  6. I have to say it every time. I saw Ibushi have an almost *** match with a blowup doll. I think it's impossible to have a bad match with him.
  7. It's hard to say because they book almost everything as filler now.
  8. I fucking hate this company.
  9. I'm trying to think of any pairing they could do that I would care less about than DB/Cass or Roman/Mahal. I guess Mahal/Cass would be ultimate apathy from me.
  10. Yes because god forbid she not be the center of the women's division for 5 seconds.
  11. I think it's all going to be about Ronda and her buddies going forward plus Charlotte/Alexa. I think Io and Sane are going to get just as misused. I don't trust them to use Japanese talent properly.
  12. I think her future is cannon fodder for the people they see as real stars.
  13. Yano is the best.
  14. El Terrible in CMLL had their World Title for 1,125 days. But CMLL probably forgot it existed for about 600 of those days. Atlantis has also held the Mexican National Light Heavyweight belt for over 1,000.
  15. He's terrible. He has the distinct honor of being in the worst PWG match I have ever seen. They also didn't invite him back after a single match there.
  16. I want a Suzuki/Ishii match out of this.
  17. Yeah, this is going to be a lot of Jay White and I don't think anyone is looking forward to that.
  18. It's crazy to think Slaughter only missed wrestling in the WWE in 5 different decades by 10 months.
  19. Hillbilly Jim, Billy Jack Haynes and S.D. Jones vs. Don Muraco, Bob Orton Jr. and Iron Mike Sharpe on I think the 6/14/1987 Wrestling Challenge was a surprisingly fun little 5ish minute match. Then on the 6/20/1987 Superstars the Hart Foundation have a pretty good match with the Killer Bees. I am shocked there were 2 decent matches that close together.
  20. I knew it was never going to happen and it might kill his act but no Chris Jericho in the G-1 bums me out.
  21. You live for these shows if you watch Superstars and Wresting Challenge for a rewatch. These events are just a breath of fresh air compared to their regular TV. I often find myself counting down the shows until I get a SNME as my next show.
  22. It feels like they got greedy after the first match.
  23. If this was what they were going for, that'd be great. To me it just felt like a standard screw-job by over-zealous backstage officials and the ref. I don't know what they do next. Last man standing? Unsanctioned fight? Wasn't this already unsanctioned?
  24. I thought this show was fairly mediocre by their usual standards. Nowhere near the worst show they've done. Ricochet/Dream was the best match by a lot.
  25. I like how the referee disappeared for 10 minutes and is just magically back to count the pin on Gargano.
