  1. Man, going so quick to GUNTHER/Ilja is a choice
  2. Ilja and Trick doing the Bryan/Will face off spot literally days later was hilarious.
  3. The dance tonight is gonna be an all timer.
  4. Trev vs. Bryan is gonna rule so hard. That’s a weird one given you’d think Paul had a way to use him better.
  5. Gio is probably on the way out too, methinks. They want to give Kaiser a shot on his own and Big G is obviously SD! bound to be a Cody foil at some point, so I imagine he will be given his walking papers, sadly. A weird show that was very shtick-filled based on what I was able to see.
  6. There were a couple of moments from Ospreay I wasn’t a fan of in the match but they were mainly nitpicking the totality. The finish is fine, especially given how Bryan mentioned the need for the TD ‘91 to be done at all as an “criticism” of Ospreay and the brainbuster on the ramp the night before. Played into it well. I’ll catch up on the rest of the show, but my guess is that this match will be widely regarded as Ospreay’s official arrival as the wrestler of his generation on a wider scale, and another feather in Bryan’s cap, but the true sickos will look back at Arena Mexico a few weeks prior as the best match of the month for him. I’m just happy I got to see a Death Lake Driver again. Mima Shimoda the goddess.
  7. Because I’m tired and posted to the wrong thread. Yay

  9. Now THAT drew ratings, bruv.
  10. Gotta fund that divorce, man.
  11. When you’ve had the title for over a year it’s tough to just go into no-match mode.
  12. Except the person they want to see most out of the entire thing isn’t even in the company anymore.
  13. He was in poor health a while back. I remember he was in the hospital when I went to Japan in 2017 and it was a big deal. Dude was singular. A sad loss.
  14. All of this is just so dumb and reinforces the worst aspects of pro wrestling. Just moronic across the board.
  15. Bucks worse edgelords than MJF, get out of here with that bullshit.
  16. I’m guessing Bruce is gonna be there going forward if Cody is calling him out after winning the damn title. A ton of very weird overlap there. It was everything it needed to be in the end. And there’s a ton of ways to move forward now.
  17. If there was ever a time to bring back the inflatables
  18. Was a success on every level. Amazing stuff, @Phil Schneider. So glad you all put this together.
  19. This is a hot crowd in Ontario, man. They went crazy for that opener.
  20. Vince Russo is BACK, baby.
  21. They’re somewhat similar. The Gotunda location is the original and smaller. I went to the larger, newer location in Shimomugero when I went in 2017 (and am pretty sure I saw Masakatsu Funaki eating there). Just depends on where you are and your timing. Same menus at both spots.
  22. It was and is a weird dichotomy for me.
  23. This dude is fucking MAKING Cody. Cody is made and he’s doing even more than it. It’s incredible. Never ever say Rocky doesn’t know how to do business. This is otherworldly.
  24. Okada is banged up (known knee and neck issues where he took some time off before signing) and is smart enough to go the Nak route as far as showing out goes since he’s got a ton of miles on him even though he’s relatively young. I think he’ll perform big on PPVs but not so much on TV.
  25. Eddie overcoming so much only to drop the belt immediately when Okada arrives sure is a choice. Has a big time Homicide/Morishima vibe.
