Didn't Jerry Blackwell have a lot of strongman stuff to his credit, too?

For the most part, the Nashville crowd has actually been pretty good. Been hot all night, really.- 173 replies

I wasn't cherry picking so much as pointing out those four matches off the top of my head because they were still fresh and because I'm weighing performance in big matches heavily in the project. She was a part of some of the biggest joshi matches ever and more than held her own. Totally agree on seeing as much as possible, but considering just how many wrestlers are a part of this list and how many a lot of us are going to have to go through just to have enough to vote on, those are a good starting point as any.

I can't see him falling out of my Top 5. He might be the most well-rounded pro wrestler ever. And while I understand Parv's argument for longevity in the sense that Funk moved around more than Flair did, it's amazing to think Funk moved around as much as he did and was that good basically everywhere he went.
-
He basically dominated that Lawler match, so I think he knew when to dominate and when to feed.
-
I really only know the Japan stuff but I know there's some Puerto Rico stuff that is probably his best. Haven't seen much of that yet.
-
Luger in 1989 had one of the best in-ring years I've ever seen. I think he's second only to Flair in the NWA in 1989. But if you start with Starrcade '88 and end it before he went to the WWF, is it enough for me to put him on the list? I don't think so.
-
Don't think he has enough to make the cut, but he does have some great high points.
-
Solid worker but not good enough to make a Top 100. Loved the High Flyer stuff, though.
-
One of the best brawlers I've ever seen. Don't know if he'll make my list, but the AWA stuff of his in 1983 is fantastic. I'll have to think about him a bit more to see where he might land.
-
No chance. Never did enough to keep me interested.
-
Has my all-time favorite ECW match with Tajiri at Hardcore Heaven 2000. Doesn't have enough to make my list, but he was just a guy wrestling in the wrong time.
-
Yeah, DiBiase not going over to JCP when UWF got bought was a travesty. Him vs. Flair in 87 instead of Garvin? Holy shit. Can't keep him off my list. The Mid-South stuff is too good. He'll be there, probably in the lower half, but he'll be there.
-
I don't think he has enough high-end stuff, sadly.
-
Haven't seen much of the old Casas stuff but Tio Casas has been really fun to watch the last few years. He'll make my list easily, but depending on how much of him I get to see, he could be anywhere from Top 25 to Top 75.
-
Really worked hard early on and had one of the most dynamic move sets you'll ever see, but I don't think he ever put it all together to the point where he was considered an all-time great. Still one of my favorite wrestlers to watch, though.
-
Don't think he has enough to show up on the list, although he does have a nice string of top-end performances.
-
He'll be on my list. One of the best workers of the 1970's, if not the best. The Bock match in 80 is tremendous stuff. Automatic in for me.
-
So is the Texas Outlaws stuff any good? I liked the Superstar feud at MSG and I liked his JCP stuff some of the time, but I think the Texas Outlaws stuff will be the determining factor for me.
-
The I Quit match is the best of its kind and I liked the series with Nikita, but I don't see much else for him. Just as he was starting to get good, he got hurt. Don't think he'll be there at the end.
-
I like Zbysko and he has enough top-end stuff to be considered for my list. He'd be at the bottom of it, but I think he'll be there in the end.
-
Hayes in 1989 was terrific. In a loaded year worldwide, I probably have him in my Top 10 workers from that year, if not that, Top 20. Great tag wrestler, great brawler, knew how to work a crowd...I really want to find room for him on my list.
