It was sort of inevitable that Todd's replacement would be someone who views the WWE creative team with the same borderline contempt that Bryan and Dave do.

They are that crazy. This a billion times over. I mean this harebrained scheme was likely dreamt up when Vince woke up one day, saw that the economy had tanked and decided to blame Obama for all their troubles. The McMahons aren't stupid, but when it comes to politics they are.

This is more about furthering the interests of her family and her company than her fellow citizens. Which is another reason why she won't rock the Republican party boat too much if she got into power.

The problem is Linda's not on top of the issues (see the 2010 gaffe about not knowing the minimum wage in Connecticut and would consider reducing it, which isn't her only one). I follow the campaign pretty closely and I don't think she's got any unique ideas. She's prescribing the typical Republican solution of a balanced budget amendment (which is economically foolish - running a business is not the same as running an economy), lowering business and middle class taxes (what was that about a balanced budget again?), and less red tape for businesses. As they say, better to shut your mouth than reveal yourself to be ignorant on certain issues.

MWF promoter Dan Mirade buries Kamala for his alleged lies. Mirade seems like an upstanding enough guy (for a wrestling promoter). Wrestlers Rescue seems to be around to mainly rescue Dawn Marie it seems though.

Oh man, I don't wish ill-will on anyone but if that comes to fruition, I will definitely laugh. I do get Shane Douglas "I'm going to retire early and go to medical school" vibes off Davey.

Maybe a Dick Murdoch comp can still save his wrestling soul.

(1) It means that 3.2% of homes with access to the USA network tuned into Raw. That's why Showtime can get a 1.0 rating with only a few hundred thousand viewers. (2) Yes. (3) There are minute by minute breakdowns, but Meltzer isn't adding up those numbers to get the figures he quotes in the Observer. Bit sloppy. (4) Quoting Wikipedia: "Share is the percentage of television sets in use tuned to the program." (5) Never heard that terminology used before.
-
I guess given that he's retiring next year he can get away with such crap.
-
Bryan needs to listen to one of Wade's PWTorch Livecasts to see how it's done!
-
Rikio has been out of action for two years and actually announced his retirement last November. Really losing Rikio wasn't a huge loss, as he never got over to the level NOAH hoped. It's easier to get out when you don't own the promotion or such a big draw that even when your a completely broken down shell of your former self you will still attract some fans to shows.

Meltzer exposing that Showtime's Steve Espinosa is blocking any of Strikeforce's fighters being moved to UFC was quite the story. Partly because of how he handled it (don't drop bombshells during a tangent on your radio show about how the best thing for Showtime if Ronda Rousey vs. Mrs. Cyborg was on a major UFC show, if you want to get reported accurately).

It's sort of amazing that it took Vince Russo to get kicked out of creative before TNA did a storyline where a crack whore date raped AJ Styles and got herself pregnant in the process.
-
Yeah, they were the stories that Tammy asked New Jack to bump off her ex. That was a red flag.
-
After Angle spouted off about it on Twitter, the Dan Gable museum posted this on facebook:
-
Really given her history of mental health problems, WWE shouldn't have put added pressure on her by publicly announcing her pregnancy. On paper they treated her well otherwise, but you don't know what went on behind the scenes.

Vince has a bit of Sandusky in him too. Rita Chatterton.

I think the answer to "Who should ROH bring in?" is it really doesn't matter. The problem is that they've got a product that plays best in the Northeast, but their television is largely shown in other markets, not to mention in bad time slots. The business plan of needing to draw 700 fans per house show in markets ill suited to the ROH style was insane when TNA struggles to draw much more than that with ten times the star power. They've also killed their iPPV business with the constant screw ups.

Dave on fine form in today's news update: That's not to mention all the embarrassing TV skits with Mark Henry when they were trying to get him to quit.

Financially speaking Ric doesn't need another divorce. I'd agree that this is an obviously unhealthy relationship and a break up would probably be for the best, but I don't think Flair would choose any better fifth time around.

Ric Flair has another fight with his wife, police called again Sad, but not surprising.

Round two of Linda McMahon vs. the "bullying" Connecticut media. Not mentioned in my report, but Linda recently made a gaffe that exposed her ignorance on how a base closure and realignment (BRAC) works. I guess another two years isn't enough for Linda to brush up on basic political issues in her state.

I don't know, Stann vs. Lombard was a much easier fight to hype to the public with Stann's military background and Lombard's undefeated streak. Shogun vs. Vera has nothing going for it. I know people would have complained about it, but they would have been much better doing Shogun vs. Machida III and Bader vs. Vera on the undercard.

I hope that's not the main event, because it's going to get killed in the ratings. Just the wrong match for TV. It would be OK for a PPV semi-main, but it will have no casual fan interest. I'd move Ortiz vs. Griffin III to the show, as Silva vs. Sonnen II doesn't need the support and even though both guys are washed up, they are still big names to the general public.
