  4. 7/26/87 sounds very interesting....Steamboat had lost the belt...so was this just a finish up kind of match or was Steamboat a replacement?

  8. If they woudl have gone with Sting decisively beating Hogan at Starrcade, then this last NWO Strong hold may not be seen as bad... But this shit continued and continued...and I LOVE the NWO
  9. Those two had some great matches... I know Will hates him, but fuck that, Muraco ruled from 81-85!!! That Snuka series over the IC belt is great stuff...heated as hell...
  10. That's a good match, though the full version shows the stuff cut out was pretty so-so. I thought the 11/01/86 in Boston was tighter, they really had their stuff worked out, and they laid out their best "Pre-Injury" match (i.e. one that happened before the TV Angle aired). I thought that was more solid than Toronto-level gripping: I think we all wish one of their cage matches was saved on tape. I like this as a good set of keeper matches for their feud: A. 11/01/86 Boston: Pre-Injury B. 11/22/86 Superstars: Injury Angle Match (taped 10/28/86) C. 02/15/87 Toronto: Revenge Match D. 02/23/87 MSG: Elimination Match F. 03/29/87 WrestleMania: Title Change With just the cage match blow off missing. It's a great feud. Even their matches that don't hit a high level tend to be solid... with perhaps the exception of the quicky Philly match. There is a post mania Houston match from right before Steamboat lost to Honky that is pretty good that could be the final piece of that set... Maybe add their earlier 86 match as well that was before the feud really started....
  11. Fuck yes...thanks for the list ALan!
  12. WOW....what a shame..he was getting better in the ring to... Anyone else seen the Ghost story show with Piper where his house is haunted by Adonis?

  14. Are there any pictures of Adonis and how he looked after losing 127 lbs as his trainer said before his wreck? I have read and heard he was getting in good shape...but have NEVER seen a photo...
  15. Moose Fuckin Monroe in the tourny....eat it Bruno....he got in....lol! Check out Patterson's shit eating grin...must have been taken in the locker room after the match when he was told where he'd meet his "afterparty" at... What happened in the Mr. X vs. Arab match....we need the results...its almost as if this tournament was made up!! I was one when that happened...I had Gypsy Rodriguez in my pool....

  17. Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat - Wrestlemania III - Still the king of the IC Title Match... Outside that, there are soo many GOOD to GREAT matches from 79-89 that happened on House Shows...I will have to get my shows out and look...Tito and Valentine had one great one after another.....Morales and Muraco had some good wars...
  18. To add to that Mania 2 match, I saw an interview with Hogan where he talked about all the lumps on his head from that cage after the match as it was harder to hit than the old cyclone fence... One BIG issue, he NEVER ran into it with his face the whole fuckin match.... I still dont get why if you were as big as you were, that you have to embellish it further...ahhh Hulkskter...
  19. I have heard a lot of people talk about when the Blue Barred cage first came into existence for WWF to replace the fence... I am fairly certain the first time was Mania 2 in 86 with Hogan and Bundy as they said they had to get a new modified, sturdier cage to support Bundy, as the storyline went....Jesse even mentions it in the pre-match about not having a normal cage for Bundy.... Can anyone confirm this?
  20. Glad to hear the Pedro love....he was a good wrestler in his prime and his IC series with Muraco was great stuff.... Also, he was the first WWF Superstar to slap me 5 at my first House Show in 86 in Pittsburgh! BUT - What was up with the two tone orange tights? Never got those...
  21. The Australia crowds were cool to see...they were really into the product....
  22. I'd say no as it wasnt a "cage Match" proper...
  23. Listened to this episode again tonight....I want to give a THANK YOU and a joking FUCK YOU to Johnny Sorrow... I nearly wrecked driving home tonight when you guys were talking about "What else was on ESPN CLassics Canada.." and you were talking about Curling and Teaching Cow Tipping and you replied "Teaching Politeness"... That is the funniest "side joke" I have heard on a podcast in a while.... If anyone doesnt find it funny, you're wrong. So thanks Johnny, I needed to feel the birm of the road tonight...keeps me alive!
  24. Rock vs. Austin the night after WMX7 I do remember....but I dont remember ANY cage matches with HHH on TV in 98 at all....HHH was hurt after the Summerslam match and then didnt meet the Rock again until 12/14/98 where Test debuted and cost HHH the title.....then they fought again on 1/25/99 I Quit on RAW...where Chyna turns heel....They did have a cage match in '99 on RAW and in UK...those were OK.... I did remember one other cage match, New Age Outlaws vs. Funk / Cactus, but it wasnt great and just a match to get over the new DX...
  25. Did Harley and Nick Bockwinkel EVER wrestle? That is a match I would LOVE to find somewhere...but I dont think it'll ever show up....
