  1. Hulk Hogan from 1984-88. Touche'.....well played sir...well played.....I will be watching you...LOL... I actually meant during that era of wrestling (into the 90's and 2000's BOOM Period) but I didnt say that...with that said....VERY NICE! Good call though....
  2. Austin choking the Rock with the electrical cord when they're brawling near the crowd. This piece does a great job of summing up all the cuts and edits: http://www.wrestlingdvdnews.com/major-upda...1-15-dvd/36742/ FUCK....just put out the whole fuckin show and let us decide what to and not to watch....Its the only Mania I dont have a DVD master with no blurring of....and the original is expensive....
  3. LOL...yeah...thanks!! I was gonna get on to the era's after this as the cage seemed to make a comeback of some sorts with many of the matches listed above.... It was strange during their PRIME popularity years, the cage really wasnt featured....Was thinking it had to due with the fact that if it was a Main Event or semi-main, the Announcer Tables had to be used...
  4. In terms of the edits...did they take out the scratch WWF blurring on 15? They are allowed to do that now right?
  5. Been thinking about this the last few days after listening to Will and Charles Podcast Since the first HIAC in '97, I cant think of that many GREAT cage matches the WWF had in the Attitude era (through 2002) that wasnt a HIAC or a Chamber (in 2002) or part of a 2 of 3 falls gimmick match...I will say that I lived daily in "strange clouds" through 2008, so I am sure I am forgetting some and havent pulled up the match lists.... Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit in 2001 was OK, but more of a spot that its remembered for... Any really good ones I am not thinking of? The cage was THE thing up to that era.... Adding these as they come up.. Breakdown 1998 Triple Threat Cage Match Val Venis vs. Rikishi - Fully Loaded 2000 HHH vs. Rock - RAW 1999 Austin vs. McMahon - Valentine's Day Massacre 1999 - OK, but not really a "match" but some big bumps and Paul Wight... Rock vs. Austin - Night after WMX7 - used to further a new angle.. New Age Outlaws vs. Funk / Cactus - Night after WM14 - used to further a new angle As far as really good or great goes - Val vs. Rikishi would be the only one right now... Would like to revisit this for the Brand Split era and then the Current era as well, but I know there are more in that period...
  6. They had a decent cage match with Money Inc. at the Summerslam 1993 Spectacular show...end of their fued.....
  7. You just gave me a few more to look into....thanks!
  8. Noticed FYE has almost every Wrestlemania that wasnt out on DVD (outside of the Anthology sets) available as singles... Are these the same shows as the Anthology discs or different versions? The covers are cool....
  9. I find that I run out of audio to listen to every few days as I listen when driving to and from work, while at work, and while outside running around with my son, I have the earbud in one ear listening... I end up listening to shows repeatedly.....PTB / Good Will / Titans / Wrestling with Past / Shoots / Wrestling Culture / Big Boys / etc.... My watching has slowed considerably over the last year due to working and my son getting bigger and wanting to play a lot,,,but he is starting to show interest in the classic stuff, so I think I will finally get to start watching more and more again..... The BEST thing I did though was watch every 45+ min match I had in the last 3 months before my boy was born as I knew finding 45 straight minutes during the day to focus on the match wouldnt happen again for a while....I remember those matches VIVIDLY....
  10. I'm in the mix here, I would think. Yeah, Even though I have a SHIT TON of stuff...KHawk has me beat.....truth be told.. But I will continue to gather and gather footage....
  11. I dont know if anyone has a better one...but one that wasnt mentioned was Bob Holly's....he had a really really nice one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H38PMalCuoM&noredirect=1
  12. Maybe I just like shitty wrestling as much as good, as I enjoyed 1988 - 1989 AWA...not as much but definately had some good wrestling on it....and the bad interviews just make it better.. But I also love Late Era WCW....so....

  14. Just finding this thread... Grimmas, I am with you..Pet Sounds deserves a TON more respect...They were the first group to put the word God in a popular song, a BIG risk..plus, that whole album is soo well made and so deep...I think that its the "Beach Boys" and their years since then and some before makes a lot think "Surfer Music, that's it..." kind of thing... Pet Sounds is a top 5 Album EVER and was a heavy influence for the Beatles Sgt. Pepper album...Pet Sounds was influenced by Rubber Sole by the Beatles as well as Brian Wilson heard it and wanted to make something like it, but better...and he succeeded... And Parv...BIG is a LOT better than you give him credit for I think...Ready to Die is an amazing album with crisp lyrics and great storytelling....

  16. Smack2k

    Current WWE

A Brand Split would be really good right now as they could put MORE attention of some of the smaller feuds, have two meaningful BIG title feuds and keep the feuds fresh and not overkilling the story twice a week....
  17. Just hearing this ep for the first time... Queen's best moment to me was the opening of the '86 Wembley Show and their version of "One Vision" there...to me, the best song they every had and the best performance of it. It is RARE I like live versions of a song over the studio, but this one I do... Also, cool stat I heard...Parv can confirm...Queen was voted in Britain as the #1 band to listen to in the car ever today, and by a landslide.. Dont remember the report, but that was cool to hear and surprising over some other British bands that may have been, you know, kind of Big and influential in music....not sure who though!!!
  18. Lookin forward to this again...just finally purchased the set....but you guys are great on these with or without it.... Johnny....you can get that swank vest Gary Hart has on at a retro clothes shop down the street from my house..I should buy that outfit and take a picture....
  19. Fuck that, enjoy it for what it was...its a fun different thing the rest of the way that has its good and bad moments, but overall is really good shit. I dont watch things and look for ways to tear it down for "work rate" or other IWC favorites (and I not saying you guys do either...just giving some context for me)...I watch it to enjoy it and this was enjoyable, as EL-P is starting to see from some of his writings (not all of it, but certain things). Is it top of the line shit that should be celebrated with teh best of all time? Fuck no...but its fun and has some great moments.. And seriously....name another WORLD TITLE Reign over a 6 month period where another champ was so dominant...
  20. Brutal? NO....dont ruin the hope!!! As for Kotter...Always will be CLASSIC....The SweatHogs would have been a cool stable in the 70's....Heel or Face?

  22. As good as teh show was....I gotta hunt down the complete set of Barney Miller....didnt watch it back in the day, but am going to now!
  23. That pipe shot from Madejia was really really bad as she tapped him with it, but they covered fine with Steiner beating the hell out of him instead... His push towards it will begin now....and the Booker - Steiner feud is golden, all with Steiner just trashing Booker on the mic...the true GREATEST HEEL WORLD CHAMP RUN (in terms of sheer dominance...no I dont put this anywhere near some of the all-time greats.......this run has begun...and it gets better) ANd before I get shot down for that comment, name another HEEL champ in a BIG organization that goes on the beat down streak (regardless of how he does it) that Steiner goes on here without getting TRUE retribution for it for 6 MONTHS...until a meaningless last match MONTHS from now...FUCK yeah, Steiner WCW 2000-2001 Champ Run has begun...The lunatic is loose. Rection - Storm feud is getting going now, it gets better... Glad you like the NBT now, they are entertaining.....Nash will get with them soon for some funny... Goldberg gets going again quickly as well in a cool storyline that I think would have paid off down the line...
