I think Tamalie's other points are still pretty sound, especially the manager roulette, TV quirks (like Snuka on Piper's Pit not being shown for 2 months in every market other than St. Louis), and the new wrestlers with nothing to do.
Yeah, Heyman just got a relatively small consulting fee. The loan in 2000 was to avoid a lawsuit and maybe obtain primary creditor status once HHG and Heyman went bankrupt.
Not to defend Watts at all, but people really tend to ignore that Madden's behavior there was absolutely ridiculous and is probably why Ryder and Scherer thought they could convince people that the Torch wasn't above playing shit disturber to be part of a big story with regards to ECW & Request TV. I should really post the Shenanumake Post letter "from Madden" because it sums up the situation well and is probably the funniest thing that the Atlanta boys wrote during their run.
If we're going to talk about logic or lack thereof, I find it more amusing to make fun of how Dave acts like the WON awards are scientific proof of something, which has gotten a lot worse with his commentary on them the last few years.

Was the show w/ WCCW Ft. Worth footage called Championship Sports or Wild West Wrestling? I'm pretty sure that the Ft. Worth show itself was only on KTVT but when they took over Wild West and it morphed into their B-show, Wild West had Ft.Worth footage.
