  1. It's around. I saw the TV version years ago. It was fine but nothing special at all, fun curiosity though.
  2. The early HOF ceremonies did indeed have a paying audience.
  3. It's mostly novelty, though Savage does seem really into taking Liger's big moves and makes a point of cutting a promo after the match about how great he is.

They couldn't get around Sky having UK exclusivity to the first run of Main Event. Since WWE is only programming one network feed, it's not being shown live anymore, instead being added to on demand on a few week delay when the Sky window runs out (similar to the guidelines for Raw and SmackDown replays being added).

  10. Here's what baffles me. OK, you've decided you're staying the course and need to make Reigns the guy as planned. Let's give him a quality, violent, hard-hitting, competitive main event to make it clear he's the guy. You can't have the guy he beats be a tiny lovable underdog. The way that Daniel Bryan works was great for what they were trying to do. But the thing that Daniel Bryan is makes it kind of weird and stupid. And that's setting aside that Bryan is the guy people want in Reigns spot, no less.
  11. Dr. Chris Amann performs on WWE programming as a character named Dr. Chris Amann. Wouldn't that make him a public figure?

  13. Flair vs. Race from '85ish: Role reversal of their JCP feud w/ Flair as heel and Harley as the super babyface. Awesome, heated match. Link goes to part 1, follow the recommendations on the side for the rest.
  14. How about we don't pretend he's going to NJPW?

It's not that sudden. He's made a big effort to drop weight the last couple years.
  16. During the NXT show, which obviously they have producers in training, there were a few "crowd shots" that took me out of it because....knowing Vince and WWE....showing that there's only several hundred people, sitting on bleachers, in this little arena......that's a huge WWE/Vince no-no. With all of this smoke and mirrors and pyro and projection.....that was "exposing the biz" camera work. Is there any way to shoot Full Sail and make it look like there are more than a few hundred people there?
  17. Wasn't VP of Operations Jim Barnett's job title in the WWF in the '80s? Ain't what it used to be.
  18. In fairness, the weekly TV got noticeably worse as soon as she took over for Chris Kreski.
  19. The only ones with matches on Netflix were ones that weren't in the "documentary plus extras format," meaning the ones that were just matches or mixed mini documentary clips throughout.
  20. At the least they have the History of the World Title DVD on there right? That doesn't help if it doesn't get picked up by the search though. No, they don't. They have the hour long documentary from that DVD and that's it.
  21. So...yeah, about that... Regardless of if it was him or ghostwritten, that's the type of thing they need to not be doing.

  23. They did two: The 90 minute version was just for Memphis that week. Instead of just cutting that down for the other towns, they shot a similar but different show at Jerry Jarrett's house.
  24. I don't think it was the best hour long wrestling show or best call of all time, but I don't think best studio call is out of the question. Were any memorable Jim Ross calls on taped shows in WCW (like Flair-Pillman) or WWF (Bret-Kid) done in post? Definitely the best canned call of a foreign product I can think of.
  25. It did. VERY VERY loudly. Did the crowd suddenly notice him hiding or was there just a moment of realization that he was never eliminated?
