I liked the tag. The structure at times was a little wonky. I was stewing a bit because the announcers weren't mentioning the crowd reaction Cesaro was getting. God bless Lawler for finally mentioning it right before the finish. Both teams roles need to be flipped. I loved the finish and some of the spots were unique.

That's where I think they're heading.

In the schedule it looks like they're adding a new show called WWE24. The 1st show does a behind the scene look at mania 30.

Someone with a Roku can you try to watch No Mercy 99. Mine kicks me off when I try.

Their is a predisposition to a lot of people to judge her on past performances. Plus she does such a good job that I think some people hate her so much that they can't seperate her and the performer.

I thought it was 2015 for some reason. I'm wrong. The Casas vs Dorada is worth looking at, and is good. OJ even with good selling in the 3rd fall it wouldn't be a MOTYC for me too. I wouldn't hammer so much on the selling if Maximo didn't sell so dramatically in the 1st 2 falls. Though the 1st 2 falls did set up the potential for an incredible match. The 3rd caida didn't follow it.

OJ if you didn't like the match because of 2 of the falls that is fine. To say the lack of selling is being overblown is just wrong. The 1st 2 caidas were based around Casas just destroying Maximo's leg. He absolutely shit cans it in the 3rd caida when he goes on offense and from after that. If the lack of selling didn't bother people that's fine. I just put a big emphasis on it.

I enjoyed the Dorada match. It fell short to me as a MOTY contender. It felt like a match thats purpose was to highlight Dorada and it did. It lacked meat to me. My favorite Lucha match that I've seen this year actually came from AAA.It was the Aerostar vs Superfly match and I wouldn't classify it as a MOTY contender. Too much overbooking took it down.I liked the mask ripping, the escalation of violence, Aerostars high spot comeback. All the interferance took the match down. I'll need to watch the minis match.

Nice. I'll take a look in a bit. Commentary seems like a hard thing to do well.

I'm glad that they put some pre 90's stuff that has some bite to it up. I don't care if it was on 24-7. The house shows are one of the big selling points to me.

I'll grant that CMLL is the deeper promotion. It has a ton of good wrestling. Sometimes it boils down to style. I like trios matches, but getting them weeks at a time gets old. It's a great way to keep things fresh too which is an odd after reading my last sentence. For NJPW we get a lot of great matches.They present the IWGP and all their titles as important. They make wins and losses mean something. So it has an old school feel in that retrospect.I like how they respect their legends. They don't have as deep as a roster as CMLL. For me it's the presentation that gives NJPW the edge to me. This has 0 to do with business.

This is what I thought of the Casas vs Maximo match so it won't be on my list. I thought Casas was great here. They really laid the groundwork for a great match. Maximo was tremendous selling the leg the 1st 2 falls.I loved the Dr. and the gimmick in between falls. Casas spraying Maximo's eyes was tremendous. Then we get to the 3rd fall and Maximo shit cans all the leg work just to do moves. Still this was good, but left me cold. It lacked consistantly.I've liked the 3 main matches from WK9,Aztec Warfare, and Richochet-Thacher,Cavenario/Cometa, 8 man semi on the main show.The shitcanning of the work in the 3rd fall killed the match for me

2015 is here and so far I've seen a lot of good to great wrestling from all around. I want to keep a 2015 MOTY contenders thread at the board I frequent most. This will also be a good place to discuss matches, and to check out matches people might not have seen. Nakamura v Ibushi 1/4/15 This match has been talked about everywhere, So I'm not going to add anything new, but I loved it.

I have no faith in their booking either. The other thing they might be trying is beating DB so it's not obvious he's winning the Rumble. Which sounds more like the WWE style.

With jobbing DB. If they are planning on putting the belt on him it won't hurt to have an opponent getting groomed for him fof afterwards so we don't have a repeat of Kane as his 1st challenger.

I enjoyed the 8 man semi main on night 2. Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero from night one. Everything else was solid for the most part.

Out if curiosity, what areas appear skewed. An example would be they ask you what you watch the most on the network or what's your favorite thing on the network. then they list 12 shows and the other box. So it's not exactly fair if it's not listed.They should have more open ended questions.

I'm sure you'll agree stomperpc this show killed yesterdays.

I'm not sure if I got this, but Mascara Dorado is coming to NJ full time.

Mascara Dorada vs. La Sombra Another really good match. Man 3 out of the last 4 matches delivered.

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi & Volador Jr. & Atlantis vs. Kazuchika Okada & Shinsuke Nakamura & Ultimo Guerrero & El Gran Guerrero This was another strong match on the show. We got some fun comedy. Some holy shit moments. Some great dives, and some pairings.

Volador Jr.'s Tron outfit is the bomb.

Mistico vs Polovara This was ok. Match seemed to lack transitions. They'd do moves, sell, repeat. I liked Polovara playing to the crowd.

Cavenario vs Rey Cometa This is a total balls to the wall highspot sprint. These guys ran through so many highspots, It was even more fun than the Fenix vs. Pentagon Jr. match from Lucha Underground. Both guys got over big to the crowd.
