  1. I just started playing catch up. I'm really digging it. It feels like I've captured my youth when watching it. It comes across fresh, and really different from WWE. I don't think it has chance to bust out into mainstream, but hope it finds a niche. If it does bust out even better. The time really flies when watching. It's just a fun experience.
  2. That 's a perfect way to describe the show. I'm not sure which show I liked better this or New Years Eve Dash.
  3. The Volador jr. vs Gran Guerrero match was interesting. The start of the match with all the high spots and stuff felt rushed. It felt like the 3 rd caida of a match without the 1st 2 caidas if that makes any sense.
  4. Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero seemed like a real good match. I need a rewatch when I'm not so tired.
  5. The Okada 6 man was ok. Nothing special. I liked the early playing to the crowd the most about the match. The early Mistico/Okada face off came across as important. Though meant nothing as the match progressed.
  6. Volador's wings were awesome.
  7. The La Sombra 6 man was played for comedy. It was great in that regard. I loved the early comedy spots .
  8. In the 2nd match we have Kushida/Triton vs Cavernario/Okumura this was kind of nothing. Cavenario's dive was nice. Edit- I rewatched this and it was a fun sprint.
  9. I thought the opening 6 man was fun. Ishii as bully was nice. Gedo's heel schtick was a total blast. Angel De Oro got to be highlighted and got over.
  10. I thought I'd start a thread. If anyone is watching it live you should share your thoughts. If I'm up I'll post my thoughts throughout.
  11. I really can't put over the Roku 3 enough.
  12. I just did one of their survey's about the network. it's skewed in some areas . I wonder what someone like Harrington would say about it.

    Current WWE

I never thought about it in those terms before . After thinking about it . I see that totally happening.
  14. I thought I'd move my thoughts to here from Modern Indie Wrestling. I got the Evolve show and overall thought it was a good show. The Ricochet vs. Timothy Thatcher match is worth taking a look at. Bell to bell they got 17 minutes and I wanted at least 3 to 5 more minutes to really flesh out the finish. I thought the body of the match was really well done. We get a feeling out process to start. Thatcher works different holds looking for a chink in the armor. He finds it and goes after the arm. Thatcher is great at destroying the arm with crisp, hurty looking arm locks. The key spot is we get a modified divorce court on the ring apron. Now Thatcher is a shark here destroying the arm. Ricochet does a solid to good job selling his arm. He was great at reaction selling to the arm. Thatcher got a good 8-10 minutes of working over Ricochet with some hope spots mixed in. Ricochet is in control and is using assorted kicks and high flying . He has Thatcher reeling. In the spot of the match Ricochet goes up for a 450 or something and Thatcher catches him in a Fujiwara armbar. Ricochet escapes, and we get the finish that felt kinda rushed. 3 3/4* I really want a rematch between these guys. Some people might feel Thatcher took too much of the bout. I didn't feel that way

  16. Has anyone used the WWN live thing before?
  17. Do you have a link?
  18. Friday does look like the better of the 2.
  19. Anyone going to be checking out the Evolve shows Fri and Saturday. The Friday one interests me the most with a Thatcher vs Ricochet match .
  20. It's hard for me to be serious because as we all know I hate New Japan As I discovered today it's simply not okay to dislike any aspect of NJPW. You do and certain sections of their fanbase jump all over you. I said I didn't like the English commentary on the F4W Board and got called a troll and someone who was just looking for something to bitch about. Some of NJPW fans have a real circle the .wagon when it comes to criticisms of NJPW. I like the product, warts and all.
  21. I think they learned their lesson with AJ and the imterferance. They tried to book him like the IWGP champion version of Devitt. Devitt had a history in NJPW and he wasn't defending the big belt so it worked for him. If Styles gets another run with the IWGP title we'll see him booked differently.
  22. I agree. Seeing some of the reviews online it seemed like a skip show. I watched it last night and enjoyed it. It didn't hit the highs of the Dome show, but it didn't hit the lows either. Nothing seemed rushed like on the Dome show. Most of the matches were good. Plus we see where they're heading. I'd give it a thumbs up show.
  23. I hope Tharpe doesn't get the boot. He's been a pretty great character in NJPW.
  24. This looks great!!!
