I just heard on Blue Meanie's Twitter that Jake Roberts has cancer

Just bumping this because of the avatar. I always joked that if professional wrestling were to ever be immortalized in a stamp, it should be Ric Flair's bloody face.

I won't be too bothered watching him in the ring. Interviews and out-of-ring segments might be a different issue, but it won't amount to much other than a fleeting discomfort. Watching Nancy will be much more sad, and maybe upsetting but again it would be fleeting.

It should be considered that the WWE product now isn't what it was when Spike had them before. USA has tame but inoffensive original programming, Modern Family and NCIS reruns. Spike has edited-for-TV R-rated action movies, reality shows about manly pursuits and those awful cop car-chase footage shows.

They'd be dumb not to do it, unless like Time Warner before them, they're tired of wrestling. But in this case it's not too hard to see why.

Bagwell seemed doomed from the start. He had the body, but his extensive history with WCW (I could be wrong on this but I think he was in WCW longer than any of the wrestlers that were left for WWE to pick up by the time of the sale) and his ego would have made for a short time with Vince.

Yeah, but this isn't the scratch logo we're talking about here. I can't think of any videos where the older logo was blurred like that.

I seem to remember in WCW they'd always say if the match ended during the break they would show the end of it. I'm pretty sure that's never happened, but I'd love to see if I'm wrong though.

Maybe they'll do repeats, but not too sure about On Demand. BTW, what was with Warrior's HOF spot having the old school WWF logo blurred out? The Bobo Brazil spot from Monday night didn't have that, which was a relief but it makes me wonder if the previous blurring was a mistake of some kind.

I don't see Austin for Jake, really. Their paths crossed that one significant time, yes but Ted and DDP are more significant to Jake's history than Austin is.

Roddy Piper debut in WCW. Looking back it's not the best way they could have set up the feud, but the way it starts with the bagpipe music almost fading in and Rod taking his time a little to come out was brilliant. I remember actually shaking with excitement when I saw it because I wasn't as smart to what was going on. I knew people were going back and forth, but Piper always struck me as one of Vince's guys when he needed him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ted did it alongside DDP. It doesn't have to be just one. Lita was announced tonight. Warrior...yay. Has he made any statements about it yet?
