  1. True, but I'm sure not everybody got that. I'm surprised it never was an issue. I really thought he was black until I saw his RF interview and it became clear to me he wasn't.
  2. WWE Network version has the old WM music back in at the end.
  3. Okay, now they are showing the Raw before WM 17...and it's rated TV-PG
  4. Agreed, now they're showing Bruno on Piper's Pit at MSG.
  5. ^ Yes. It would be too overwhelming, and they need to do something to keep the interest fresh so I don't mind this approach at all. They are showing Sting/Vader from GAB '92 right now, which is interesting. Have they shown matches between programming before?
  6. Absolutely. I have somewhat fond memories of those shows though I didn't watch them live (bought them on VHS a couple of years later) and enjoy them now as much as I did. Almost even more so now, now that WWE Network is showing the live feed as opposed to the Home Video edits.
  7. I'm not surprised that the tide is turning against him on this. His radio silence on Twitter isn't helping either. He probably just doesn't care, and when it comes to this whole thing neither do I. My one surprise is that he lasted as long as he did after the infamous shoot in 2011. Not only that, but that he burned out rather than fade away which is what I'm assuming WWE's next move is, to whitewash him from the Universe as much as possible.
  8. He'll probably be billed in the top 5 or 6 in the movie. He is one of The Guardians of the Galaxy. Here's a serious question then, since the movie opens in August, is there a way they can turn him around by then? Not necessarily at Mania, but at least a month or two before it opens?
  9. The Johnny B. Badd character was okay, but I wonder if the gimmick rubbed some of the black talent in WCW wrong. One could argue it's essentially a blackface gimmick without the makeup. His promos in WWE were excruciating, the gimmick they stuck him with was uninspired, but he had some okay ring work.
  10. Then why did they turn Batista heel a month into his run and position Daniel Bryan as the top face of the company during Mania season? People are really dramatic. Wouldn't it be funny if the movie flops because of the chain of events that have been set off since his return
  11. Agreed 100% with both you guys. These issues have only been amplified because of the IWC. Whatever glitches and problems HBO had, they weren't made into news items. Whether or not they make it to WM armed and ready for anything to happen, is another issue. Hopefully as I previously said, they're all hands on deck with how to smooth out the rough edges so we can all watch with little or no interference at all.
  12. Bryan has to beat HHH to get into the main event. No way two heels are going to headline.
  13. Road Dogg chided the crowd for their CM Punk chant, then the WWE app feed went dark.
  14. I heard that on Twitter, but I didn't see it. It looked like they all hit the ringside area.
  15. I suggested in a Vince thread he would have made a good Pat Patterson. It essentially would have been a similar role to the one he played in Moneyball, but a bit more syncophantic.
  16. Was this episode particularly sleezy, though? If I recall correctly, UPN wanted a lot of the sleazier aspects of late 90's WWF cut out of Smackdown, so it might have legit earned a TV-PG rating. I heard Lawler's "puppies!" at least once, so I think it was. Too close for comfort for a TV-PG anyway. I can believe that WWF acquiesced to VIacom's request, but a toned down program feels at the height of sleaze when compared to today's product. I'm only bringing this up because I know that eventually some parent of a young WWE fan is going to come upon this stuff and be appalled, and bitch to the morality mob and brew up a shitstorm about it.
  17. Their ratings are a little screwy. They are showing the first episode of Smackdown! right now which was at the height of the company's sleaziness yet somehow earns a TV-PG rating.
  18. So is it safe to assume new VOD content will arrive every Sunday?
  19. Ventura and Capetta are everywhere. As is Michael Buffer.
  20. Hopefully all hands will be on deck to make sure this goes smoothly. I want this to succeed because it's a venture not worthy of being taken down by these kinds of problems.
  21. I think that's accurate. There is frankly a depressing feeling I get watching the company from this period. The chips began to fall a few years before, but by this time it was really apparent how much of the soul was lost as you put it. Them losing Bobby was more of a blow to the product then Gene, because Bobby was the perfect foil for Vince and Gorilla. To me the real sad thing is what Bobby would say later in interviews, that the only guy on the roster who came up to him to say he was sad to see him go was Owen.
  22. The look of horror on Regal's face just before the match starts is classic.
  23. His hair is literally tragic now.
  24. Since he hasn't been brought up here, who of the two do you think Flair had better matches with? I've actually seen way more of his matches with Sting, specifically from the first Clash and GAB '90, I also remember their matches on Saturday Night from '96 which are stellar from memory. I've heard Ric put over Lex's conditioning in his shoot, and saying they had some okay matches.
