  1. I shudder to think how trashy they could have really made it then.
  2. http://www.wwe.com/classics/wcw/20-ridicul...may-have-missed Read the comments.
  3. Dustin's a bit of a sad case, although not entirely because he seems to be in a pretty good position now (he still works for WWE, right?). If WCW had stuck to raising the level of the talent they already had instead of giving all those opportunities to Hogan and the older guys, I'm positive Dustin could have been a top guy in the company. Or at least he could have risen above the stigma of being a legend's son.
  4. I'm guessing she's no Charles Kuralt.
  5. It makes a little sense. Jake had just come off a four-year run as one of their top faces, and Randy was one of the top heels for a few years. If it had been done with a more established heel and babyface it would have sold huge on the house shows.
  6. It's a shame Jake left when he did because I'm sure they could have continued at this pace once Randy was champion.
  7. Dating twins a lot of smarks furiously masturbate over too.
  8. What happened to the Rockers that summer? They didn't work that year's SummerSlam and I don't think they are anywhere on this Yearbook during that time.
  9. Because honestly, who here hasn't had their workspace put through the bull-in-a-chinashop deal?
  10. Pain & Gain might be Dwayne's best performance. He shows a vulnerability underneath his huge frame that never wavers, even when it leads to violence. I was really hoping it was good from the trailers, and it exceeded expectations a little.
  11. What I never understood was why Warrior just kept telling them no to a title shot. It defeats the "take on all comers" attitude a babyface champion should have.
  12. Actually, Warner Bros. is financing PTA's next picture.
  13. I remember it breaking because of an article in Sports Illustrated. It was mostly in the Sports pages of newspapers and some talk shows. Vince and Bruno were both on Larry King in the spring of '92.
  14. A bit of both maybe. And it was a nice excuse to have the same matches over and over with heels he'd worked with before. I think besides Morrus, he'd worked angles with everyone in the group.
  15. Was the steroid scandal stuff news at all in the UK then?
  16. I think it's good. Wonder if they'd ever try and do something like that again.
  17. That guy also did the Bundy shoot, which was pretty good but that's all Bundy. He steered the direction of the conversation in some interesting places.
  18. Wrestling With Shadows was on A&E.
  19. Haku stayed in pretty much the same shape (despite getting a little thicker), while Ray got thinner (and better) in the early 90's. That doesn't have much bearing on your question. Haku couldn't cut a promo and Bossman never struck me as someone who could be as bad-ass as Haku, so it's split down the middle for me.
  20. I like how Jesse shifted to being neutral (even going as far to say that "Hulkamania will live forever", which is pretty uncharacteristic otherwise). I liked him better in WCW for this reason. He seemed more left-of-center than totally heel, which worked well with what WCW was doing.
  21. The stir on Twitter would indicate door number two.
  22. Big Show's been in some boring angles/matches, but it doesn't take away from how much of a success story he's been and certainly a future legend.
