  1. For a woman who lost her father and 2 of her uncles to suicide, I'd say she could be doing a lot worse.
  2. I never remember that team having that name. Not saying they didn't, I remember their matches, but that's how forgettable it must have been.
  3. American Males were closer to being a top team in WCW then the two others. Flair put them both over on his shoot when he talked about their match with him and Arn. Plus, they had the catchy theme song.
  4. It was cool seeing him again at the Royal Rumble 2006. Other than that, the only notable thing I remembered about him was his "cameo" in Natural Born Killers.
  5. Cool, I will appreciate it when it goes up then
  6. He talks about Brody quite a bit during the shoot, but his death is never brought up. Did Ric boycott working in Puerto Rico after that?
  7. When's the next one coming?
  8. Random thought, but after seeing him in Edge Of Darkness and a few other films, Danny Huston would make a perfect Vince in a movie.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MnxK8qR-sA Jesse Ventura on Howard Stern from October. Around 4 minutes in he talks about Linda's campaign, and disputes her claim that WWE's wrestlers are "independent contractors". It's not entirely about her, but worth listening to anyway.
  10. You'd figure this would be one card shown live, as it had I assume some pretty big matches and one title change. The card itself has one footnote in history, being that I think this was Bruno's last headlining match at MSG.
  11. Random question: I saw that on Cawthon's site, WWF did a show on 12/8/80 in MSG but it never aired on the MSG Network. Was this because it was pre-empted by coverage of the fallout after John Lennon's death? Here's the card: WWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - December 8, 1980 (20,011) This card was not televised; John Lennon was shot and killed in NYC this same night Johnny Rodz defeated Sylvano Sousa at 10:49 The Moondogs defeated Rick McGraw & Angel Maravilla at 11:37 Larry Zbyszko defeated Dominic DeNucci via count-out at 12:42 WWF Tag Team Champions Rick Martel & Tony Garea defeated the Wild Samoans in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match at 26:27, 2 falls to 1 Ernie Ladd fought Tony Atlas to a double count-out at 5:24 Pedro Morales defeated WWF IC Champion Ken Patera to win the title at 18:51; Pat Patterson was the guest referee for the bout Bruno Sammartino defeated Sgt. Slaughter via count-out at 18:38
  12. Goldie And The Bears.
  13. I don't know if they ever worked together, but I think Gorilla would have been great with Cornette on commentary.
  14. What happened with DeBeers?
  15. There aren't even credits on the DVD's.
  16. Well, it probably didn't help that Harley bashed WWF on television before he jumped ship. I'm not even sure in my limited knowledge about the World Class product, if they ever acknowledged New York other than to possibly promote any talent exchange they had with Vince, Sr. Not that they had to considering how more popular they were until Junior started raiding their talent.
  17. I read somewhere that WWF's magazine in 1984 did a feature on the David Von Erich memorial show. Plus, Kerry (and I think Kevin) did a couple of MSG show's in the early 80's according to the Cawthon site. I'm sure the reason Vince called them a great family was because Fritz never made any serious attempts at going head to head with him in the 80's when World Class was hot and ripe to become a bigger company and threat to the WWF.
  18. I remember that, it sounded so stupid. That was definitely the end of that part of his gimmick, thank God.
  19. I think they would refer to his name on occasion in interviews and introducing him. With Santana, that was more like a nickname even though it was in front of his name.
  20. That blue gladiator outfit* did wonders for his size. Blue, really? REALLY???
  21. Johnny Polo: Were you an arm wrestler, Gorilla? Gorilla Monsoon: Yes I was. J.P.: How were you? G.M.: I used to eat guys like you for breakfast. J.P: Yeah, but how'd you do at arm wrestling?
  22. Very true, but it just made me wonder if Vince knew about Kerry's foot then and had it as an ace up his sleeve while he was sabotaging the card from taking place.
  23. Yes. Then why, a year and a half later from 12/19/88 no less, did he sign Kerry and put the IC belt on him as a house-warming gift?
