  1. It's a safe bet they would go with the "Crow" Sting. I think it's good for him to have waited this long, rather than to have been lost in the shuffle of guys who came in at the early part of the decade after WCW ended. It'll work on two levels, one for the old fans who loved him in WCW and for the younger fans who probably don't watch TNA. But in my mind, this is all speculation. I'm very skeptical of this even happening. I'll be happy to be wrong and will gladly eat my words about it, I just won't be shocked if it's the Undertaker or even Trips.
  2. Those don't look like cowboy boots.
  3. Anyone find it interesting Stryker said at a certain point when one of the surprise guys came in that this was a "mark-out" moment?
  4. That Boston crowd was particularly hot last night.
  5. The fans popping for Jake Roberts' return (and him bringing Lawler out from under the ring, a subtle start to their infamous feud later in the year) was great. And Vader is hyped like a beast, and brings it. Just too bad where it ended up for him later on.
  6. He did. It was on WWE Classics awhile back.
  7. I remember that one. The Charlie Sheen thing stood out.
  8. God, Flair in Dublin. I think everyone on his plane coming home will die of alcohol poisoning just being around him.
  9. He said something similar during the Liger/Pillman match at that year's SuperBrawl.
  10. This. I've always considered the fallout on WWE after the Benoit debacle karma for dragging Eddie's death and name months after it. I still think the creepiest angle in wrestling ever was marrying Vickie and Edge.
  11. http://www.gamestop.ca/common/images/lbox/700822b.jpg This cover has since been replaced with something else, but if that's any indication who's on the game, expect Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior.
  12. The game looks awesome. And I like the concept, old vs. new.
  13. The really funny thing is that between him and Vickie Guerrero, it shows how much the WWE Universe hates to have to pay attention.
  14. According to Bret's book they went even far as doing a magazine cover shoot with the two of them doing a sort of tug of war with the belt. I only seem to remember that Savage was the one that seemed more likely to come back in that 96-97 time period because he wasn't on for a few months WCW TV after Halloween Havoc. The best thing would for them to have brought him back as a heel and start a program with Shawn or Bret.
  15. I wonder if Vince would have gone in a similar direction if the plan for Hogan to put Bret over ever came to fruition, or if it would have been just a rehash of the build-up to WrestleMania VI with Warrior.
  16. Considering Kevin Sullivan had his own brief deal with Paul E., not to mention his own relationship with Flair, I'm kind of surprised it didn't happen unless there would have been static from the Turner people for Ric to go.
  17. Wrestling With Shadows is available to watch on Netflix streaming.
  18. I think it would have been better if he went to ECW and had a feud with Douglas. Not as likely, but a good thing to muse on.
  19. Was it silly of me to be utterly convinced the first HOF inductee to be announced Monday was Randy Savage? The whole lead-up to it had me genuinely convinced that's who would be announced.
  20. Not just that, it was angle so nice they did it twice (with Martel and Tatanka two years later).
  21. What I want to know is if WWE hires them back eventually or if they're gone for good. I don't care either way, but I am curious to know if the door is now closed to them permanently.
  22. I don't remember the events surrounding it, but I thought when they "electrocuted" him on Raw, they were going to give him a big push. Don't ask me why.
  23. Is it true Jake came up with part of Steve's promo? Or did I hear that wrong.
  24. Foley/Orton goes unopposed on my list for best storyline. Randy was at his most weasel-y and Foley was probably in the best shape of his career. And the build-up was gold.
