  1. I'm not sure how much of it is on this footage. The turn angle happened on Championship Wrestling, although they may have replayed it on All Star. Not sure how many of the awesome promos are here either. All the big matches happened at MSG, Spectrum and Shea of course So were Championship Wrestling and ASW different shows then?
  2. This isn't shaping up to be the best HOF in terms of television.
  3. I'm all in on making the each month's drops like this into it's own thread. So I'm assuming this has the whole Bruno/Larry feud?
  4. At a MSG match between Nikolai Volkoff and Verne Gagne, he even has a line about how physicality isn't the most important aspect of wrestling.
  5. Steve Keirn sounds and almost looks a lot like Scott Glenn
  6. I'm glad they've found a way in which they can release this old stuff systematically as opposed to randomly like it seemed before.
  7. The March drop will be WWWF All-Star Wrestling
  8. I'd love to see them do something like this, present a whole angle as it plays out continuously like a movie, with no voice-over or talking heads, just present it straight.
  9. Eric Bischoff being a Republican feels so obvious
  10. The R&R HOF is pretty dumb, but it seems to be based on a legitimate voting process - there's a committee that comes up with the nominations and then "Ballots are then sent to more than 900 historians, members of the music industry and artists..." It's more akin to the WON HOF than anything else. And in recent years there has been a fan poll, and the people who are already in get a vote too. As far as WWE's go, I cannot imagine anybody else outside the McMahon bubble having a say who gets in. Which I'm weirdly okay with, it's in line with how the company has always operated.
  11. I think my favorite Bob Orton story is either the one about him beating the hell out of a member of the Yakuza, or the one Mick Foley told about having him second Evolution at WrestleMania 20 and the setup they had planned for it.
  12. Having not watched one match of the Houston territory I suppose I enjoyed it more from understanding how Bruce started and how the experiences he gained from working there would be applied throughout the rest of his career.
  13. There's a series of tapes of old matches from the 50's and 60's on there, one of which I was pleased to find out that I bought when I was a little guy on VHS.
  14. Because I haven't heard every episode (and not really planning on it) I like that there are clips that I found interesting on their own. Hell, the left turn at the end of this video is something I had no clue about but I feel much much better for knowing it.
  15. I imagine he'd probably just stick to talking about WWE, and not go off-script bar an occasional line or jab or something else.
  16. I liked the ones on Houston Wrestling and where he talks about how he got fired.
  17. There is a lot of USWA stuff on Amazon Prime Video. There's a lot of wrestling stuff on there.
  18. It matters more now because it gets mainstream coverage, as opposed to a time when the possibility of the news breaking on ESPN before WWE programming would have been zero.
  19. Elias would be a good choice.
  20. I thought the Miz one was pretty funny. It's the perfect kind of thing for someone with that much hubris to do. I'm surprised there's not more WCW stuff cited here as I feel like they could be just as good with that at times too.
  21. I really hated his misogynist gimmick in WWF (and it carried over a little in WCW too), and that lead to an admittedly irrational hatred of him no matter what he was doing after. But I don't have a whole lot of objection to him going in (since there are some obviously real misogynists in already), mostly because of how curious I am to see him on WWE programming, with a live mic and expected to speak no less.
  22. Yeah, it was absolutely horrendous, which doesn't give me much faith that WWE would still be able to replicate what made the originals so good. About the only thing I gleaned from that whole episode was that Harlem Heat's favorite tag team were the Bladerunners.
  23. The last one they did was kind of impromptu and awkward, as it was for the Network's Warrior Week, which had Ted Dibiase and Sgt. Slaughter eating some of their insults towards him.
  24. What I think would be cool is if they had guys do audio commentaries over matches, angles, vignettes, etc, etc.
