Loved his Michael Hayes interview. Mostly about working the territories, especially Texas with the Von Erichs. Hopefully Steve has a lot more in the can from New Orleans.

Matches you love, but others don't

I rewatched the Steiners/Headshrinkers match a few days ago. That spot with the ropes was sick-looking, amazing nobody was seriously hurt from it. -

Not to make any waves, but I think we're looking too deep into this. -

Probably just hated the music, which isn't too hard to understand. -

I'd like to believe they led Paul Heyman to believe that Taker would go over. His reaction is so ecstatic it's actually kind of heart-warming to watch. -

Royal Rumble '92 is rightly thought of as the best one ever, but I have a soft spot for the ones in 89-91, 93 and 94. Probably just out of nostalgia but I like how the matches were set up those years. -

Luger losing to Yokozuna was unexpected for me. -
The Hall of Fame ceremony is back online now. Any chance it was edited in the meantime?

[2014-04-08-WWE-Network] Journey To Wrestlemania: Daniel Bryan
flyonthewall2983 replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
He's never come across as having a big ego about himself. I think the ying-yang reactions have almost made him humble in a way, because too much adulation would inflate anyone's head I'm sure. He dedicates himself more to pushing the WWE brand than he is himself. It will also be interesting to see if (more likely when) John's core fan base of kids switches over to DB. It could possibly open up the door to that heel turn the IWC has been drooling over for years. I can see it happen a bit more clearly, now that his spot is on shaky ground.- 16 replies

Maybe just something I'm starting to notice then, now that my attention to the current product has shot up recently.

I think he was being honest, too. What will be interesting if he gives the same responses a year from now and if they are as sincere.- 16 replies

That woman is what I like to describe as a word I'd never use in front of my mother. -
I brought this up in the Warrior thread, but think a more detailed discussion would be appropriate here. Daniel Bryan's ascencion as their new made man tells me that WWE's audience is finally tired of guys who depend on their physique, if they haven't been already for some time. The question I have, is this something that the higher-ups are beginning to notice as well, considering how less toned HHH looked as he said he trained more for speed and stamina than strength.

So Nancy Grace just inferred that Owen Hart died of drug abuse on her show tonight. Can his widow sue for libel? -
I'm 30 as well, and when I was a kid me and my brother watched and were engaged with those old tapes as much, if not more than we were the current product. It played a big part of me becoming a loyal WCW guy during the MNW, getting a 2nd chance to experience Hogan and all those guys live. I think as history plays out, WWE in the late 80's-early 90's will be remembered as fondly as the Rock-n-Wrestling period that came before.

Could Bryan be booked like Bob Backlund?
flyonthewall2983 replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Oh but they should! In 16 years. -
Just finished watching it. Very well done, especially for the obvious minute amount of post-production time they had. Hope to see more stuff like this. Intimate, personal stuff and less scripted. WrestleMania VI will be on the live feed tonight for fairly obvious reasons.
