  1. I preferred the Mountie's first theme, until I watched The Untouchables and saw that it was a tame version of the Morricone theme.
  2. I turned out a little worse than I expected to be. I thought it would be much shorter, however I can see how they stretched it out given the ending. A shorter match with that ending would have gotten a less desirable reaction and Taker probably would have gotten a lot of heat for it.
  3. I can't imagine Jacques looks back on it too fondly either, considering he had to deal with actual mounted police harassing him.
  4. I think they delayed the music so the home audience could hear the reaction of the crowd to the pinfall.
  5. I have a pretty intense dislike of those talking heads shows since overwatching the VH1 I Love The (insert decade here)'s. I'm guessing these shows are more aimed at people who liked those shows and it's ilk (the same reason Kayfabe Commentaries do them).
  6. They teased it heavily during the bell spot, but they should have turned Piper heel in that match. Heel Roddy would have been great for Bret during his first run as WWF champ.
  7. Loved his Michael Hayes interview. Mostly about working the territories, especially Texas with the Von Erichs. Hopefully Steve has a lot more in the can from New Orleans.
  8. I rewatched the Steiners/Headshrinkers match a few days ago. That spot with the ropes was sick-looking, amazing nobody was seriously hurt from it.
  9. Not to make any waves, but I think we're looking too deep into this.
  10. Yeah, it was his first remarks in his response to the Self-Destruction DVD. I've been meaning to watch that tribute video.
  11. Warrior was in a lot of tags with random guys in '92 it seems. I think he also did a 6-man with Boss Man and The Undertaker against Nailz, Kamala, and Berzerker too. Turns out that's exactly what they will be doing Monday.
  12. There's also what he said about New Orleans post-Katrina, that kind of puts this all in a spooky light (as if this whole thing wasn't weird enough).
  13. I both love that the artists got their revenge and Warrior doesn't tip-toe around what it looks like and why it happened.
  14. Probably just hated the music, which isn't too hard to understand.
  15. I'd like to believe they led Paul Heyman to believe that Taker would go over. His reaction is so ecstatic it's actually kind of heart-warming to watch.
  16. Royal Rumble '92 is rightly thought of as the best one ever, but I have a soft spot for the ones in 89-91, 93 and 94. Probably just out of nostalgia but I like how the matches were set up those years.
  17. Luger losing to Yokozuna was unexpected for me.
  18. The Hall of Fame ceremony is back online now. Any chance it was edited in the meantime?
  19. He's never come across as having a big ego about himself. I think the ying-yang reactions have almost made him humble in a way, because too much adulation would inflate anyone's head I'm sure. He dedicates himself more to pushing the WWE brand than he is himself. It will also be interesting to see if (more likely when) John's core fan base of kids switches over to DB. It could possibly open up the door to that heel turn the IWC has been drooling over for years. I can see it happen a bit more clearly, now that his spot is on shaky ground.
  20. Maybe just something I'm starting to notice then, now that my attention to the current product has shot up recently.
  21. I think he was being honest, too. What will be interesting if he gives the same responses a year from now and if they are as sincere.
  22. That woman is what I like to describe as a word I'd never use in front of my mother.
  23. I brought this up in the Warrior thread, but think a more detailed discussion would be appropriate here. Daniel Bryan's ascencion as their new made man tells me that WWE's audience is finally tired of guys who depend on their physique, if they haven't been already for some time. The question I have, is this something that the higher-ups are beginning to notice as well, considering how less toned HHH looked as he said he trained more for speed and stamina than strength.
  24. So Nancy Grace just inferred that Owen Hart died of drug abuse on her show tonight. Can his widow sue for libel?
