  1. I really hope Lawler does Letterman before Dave retires.
  2. The one previous to that is the one they should have stuck too. That Simon Cowell-produced garbage was annoying even then.
  3. Awesome as in seeing him accomplish it, or fail miserably as he's blown up by the time he makes it to the ring?
  4. I've had some problems with the live feed on Chrome, but nothing that wasn't rectified within a few minutes or a refresh of the page.
  5. I'll do this chronologically, of the ones I clearly remember. 1. Windham & Rotunda/Sheik & Volkoff. 2. Battle Royal 3. Can Am Connection/Muraco & Orton 4. Demolition/Strike Force 5. ? 6. Hogan/Warrior 7. Savage/Warrior 8. Bret/Piper 9. ? 10. Shawn/Razor 11. ? 12. Bret/Shawn 13. Austin/Bret
  6. Plus it can give him an angle next year, wanting to keep the trophy.
  7. The knives really came out during the whole Owen incident. I remember seeing a segment on Good Morning America that was in a similar vein, but what I remember most of it was that they were accusing them of promoting Satanism (using a clip of The Brood). Hindsight being what it is (and also being a not-very-bright teenager) at that time I didn't really care much for Vince as what I read of him made me think he was just a greedy bastard with little regard for human life. Not to say it's obvious he tried to cover his own ass at the time (and later with the Benoit thing), but now I see it a bit differently. We'd all probably cover our ass if we were in his loafers during those particular times in his life.
  8. To be fair, that and other pieces like it had a smear-campaign feel to it. ESPN via ABC/Disney were threatened because the Monday Night Wars were toppling Monday Night Football. They had specific sights on WWE because of the Attitude Era content, also because Vince was an easier target for a big company like Disney than Ted Turner was.
  9. Whatever it was, may have been fallout from all the drugs he was on. The laundry list of stuff he said he had done when he did the infamous HBO interview is staggering.
  10. Well at least what they'll pay him might cover what he had to pay for in VHS tapes to record it all. MIGHT.
  11. Excuse my ignorance, but Jim owns part of the library?
  12. A more interesting list would be worst main event, or overrated match.
  13. I heard on this very forum that the possibility of it being a complete collection is nil since they would tape over their own stuff.
  14. So what's the over/under on the Network crashing during WM?
  15. The way I see it, at least Piper is just talking and doing these Piper's Pit segments, rather than getting in the ring. Seeing him stumble against Jericho in 2009 was dreadful.
  16. I'd love to see this become a regular fixture on the network. Styles pleaded on Twitter to get it up to 250,000 views so this could be considered.
  17. If there are malfunctions with the live feed, their best course of action will be to rerun the hell out of it for the next week or so.
  18. Probably too hopeful for reality, but maybe the Network can weed this stuff out from their two flagship shows.
  19. I hated him too at the time but hindsight being what it is I can appreciate what he accomplished. Plus he gave us this moment. The timeline of how Percy came in was interesting. Percy credited Rick Rude for getting them interested in him and allowing him to get a foot in the door, but Rick was gone by the time Taker started. Giving him Brother Love must have been a stop-gap while they figured out his contract, if I had to guess.
  20. Piper's Pity: The Flavorless Wad That Is WWE Nostalgia Interesting point of view on the company's use of older stars and how it's both devaluing them and the current guys.
  21. But they still called him Hulk.
  22. Does Bryan/HHH go first? I imagine it would have to be at least early enough in the card to give Daniel (or HHH, haha) a rest before the end of the show. My prediction for Undertaker/Brock isn't too far off from Loss', I think it'll be relatively shorter compared to the matches with Shawn, Trips and Punk recently.
  23. I'll never understand why they continued to call him "Hollywood" and used the Hendrix music in 2002-3, well after he went back to the red and yellow.
