Percy credited Rick Rude for getting them interested in him and allowing him to get a foot in the door, but Rick was gone by the time Taker started. Have to admit I don't like this cover. I understand the rainbow sherbet phase of his career was when he was the most popular, but I preferred the color schemes he had after beating Hogan.

I'd imagine it's a mutual decision. It would be awkward to see him in character at an event like this, and it would kind of dilute the special nature of the event. I think if he'd stayed with the biker gimmick, then he probably would have attended and inducted by now.

Just watched the "Outside the Ring" segment of Cena on ESPN. Is it fair to say that they've never had a better spokesman then him? I remember seeing him on Larry King after the Benoit thing and while I don't remember the finer points of what he said, his manner kind of blew me away after years of watching Vince more or less making an ass of himself on television.

They should save something silly like that for the following Monday, since the (likely inebriated) crowd will eat it up and make for great television.
