  1. Here is the review http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2010/07/w...-blood-and.html
  2. Shaquille O'Neal would be the other one.
  3. Chip Minton would be the bobsledder, but he never wrestled in WWF.
  4. The idea we had spitballed for the 70's was three sets, US, Japan, Europe. Probably enough in those three categories to make three good sets.
  5. Watching some of Will's Dustin set, I think 1994 might have been his best year. The brawls with Buck are some of the best in wrestling history, he had the spectacular Clash match against Vader and a bunch of fun six man tags against the Stud Stable.
  6. Commando Negro started in 2008.
  7. Homicide v. Liger was fun, and I really liked the first six minutes or so of Cide v. Sami Callihan from CZW.
  8. Anyone who isn't a complete idiot make the argument?
  9. I agree. I am specifically interested in seeing during what year the drawing gap between Flair and Hogan widened the most. Flair's drawing power at his peak sometimes gets undersold because it wasn't at the level of Hogan's, although he is still in the top handful of all time draws in the U.S. I like mentioning that because some like to make the argument about how most of the biggest draws have been guys who weren't that good in the ring, when really, Hogan is the exception, not the rule. I say that acknowledging that Flair's persona is what made him a draw. But the longevity came because people knew they were getting a show when he headlined. What big draws were bad workers? Hogan, Shiek, Big Daddy. Pretty much everyone else has been pretty good or great.
  10. Uhh What Now? I can confirm all that, there is truth to the slightly jumped claim Bix made semi recently that the F4W board is "the 4chan of Pro Wrestling forums." Jesus that is fucking awful, what the hell is wrong with Meltzer and Alverez? More Alverez than Dave really. It has been on there for years. When the site merger happened the forum went into total fucking meltdown over the prospect of increased moderation due to presence of Dave and the Wrestling Observer on the site (essentially forum members thought the place would turn into Wrestling Classics or something over night). Pretty much that thread was one of the bargaining chips the forum members won during Bryan's attempts to return sanity to the board and gain support for the changes he was making. I'll stand up for a lot of things on that site which a few of you many look down upon but that thread isn’t one of them. In standing up for the F4W forum I will say that very few members post in that thread at all it, mainly it is the same confirmed creepy in real life guy over and over. Whenever someone brings up that they are taking a board related issue to Meltzer Bryan's stock answer is that Dave knows that the board is a cesspool so he doesnt really care but PLEASE note in saying this Im not saying that dave knows or tolerates that thread. So what your are saying is that the people on the figure four board demanded that Alverez keep a kiddie porn thread open as a concession for allowing Dave Meltzer to join the site, and Alverez agreed to it? And Meltzer willing joined a site which not only has a kiddie porn thread, but made the continuation of the kiddie porn thread a prerequisite of the merger? That is basically indefensible.

  12. Looks like I dug Negro Navarro/Hijo del Cien Caras/Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. vs. Pantera/Mano Negra/El Halcon (IWRG, 8/21/08) Don't have a review handy, but I imagine the good in the match came from Navarro, Pantera and Mano Negra.
  13. Lawler was one of the biggest bumpers in wrestling history.
  14. Where was the credit? I looked for one and didn't see it
  15. So I read the current issue and I am 85% sure the DGUSA PPV report was written by Alverez not Meltzer. The comments are almost word for word Alverez's audio comments on the show. Dave didn't credit Bryan, and I wonder how much of the newsletter is ghostwritten at this point.
  16. Dylan do you have a WON account?
  17. That trolling may have been ghostwritten by Tomk
  18. That trolling may have been ghostwritten by Tomk
  19. LeBron is clearly better a playing heel then Koshchek, will draw a shit ton more money at it too.
  20. Do we really have enough Mondo available to judge? That would be my knee jerk response too, but the Fujinami match from the 70's was easily better then any Hector singles I have seen. Clearly Chavo and Eddie were on another level, but I don't think we have the footage to judge the other two. Mondo was definitely the weirdest, as he would always do a bunch of british and maestro lucha mat stuff, and odd bumps.
  21. We are clearly not above trolling here. Also don't sell yourself short buddy, you are big enough to shit on. If someone wants to start a "Stupid shit on Segunda Caida" to crap on Tomk spelling or me using the same Teddy Atlas analogies 50 times for Fujiwara matches feel free.
  22. The unavoidable Geno Mrosko treating WC troll Richard O'Sullivan like an actual filmaker. "I wonder if Oscar winner Jeff Bridges is available?" I thought this site had editors? http://www.cagesideseats.com/2010/10/6/173...y-of-the-benoit
  23. Seems only fair, we have a Torch thread and a WON thread, let's take shots at Bix.
