New Pod with fellow DVDVR founder Phil Rippa about Headhunter A vs. Headhunter B from IWA-Japan. The weirdness of that match, the wild career of the Headhunters and fantasy booking Randy Savage into the MCU https://redcircle.com/shows/be34c05b-8483-4797-af55-5ec4bd254611/episodes/a4b24a11-afc6-4622-a8c2-01804649c126

We don't have very much of prime Jimmy, his Boogie Woogie man stuff was probably in-ring post-prime. If you want the clips of this Lawler vs. Valiant match from 1981 he looks like an all time great brawler

Do we think it is complete matches, or just short clips?

New Pod with Steve Keirn of the Fabulous Ones! Discussing their match against the Moondogs from 6/13/83. Tons of wild stories in this pod, apartment blading with Stan Hansen, shooting on the Road Warriors, almost dying in the ring in Memphis. https://redcircle.com/shows/be34c05b-8483-4797-af55-5ec4bd254611/episodes/9227f245-0fe9-48f6-9991-0a094f6c86e4

Corino came back after five years and had a absolute banger over the weekend with his son. Up there with his best stuff against Homicide and Tajiri

New Pod with the Baltimore Sun's (and PWO's) Childs Walker about Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs. Kazuo Yamazaki from UWF reborn. We talk about whether this is Fujiwara's masterpiece, how great shootstyle is like great boxing and a little talk about modern wrestling https://redcircle.com/shows/be34c05b-8483-4797-af55-5ec4bd254611/episodes/da9b66d0-3cd3-4202-8a03-3951e8a9cfc0

I would make a semi-serious argument that Trevor Lee has had a better in-ring career then Ted DiBiase

Awesome post, looking forward to what else you dig up. There is a Monterey lucha blood bath between Panther and Santo which exists on tape but hasn't been uploaded Here is a twitter exchange about it I loved that Virus match, would at least have it as Great!

4th best? There are like 20 Alvarados, and I think you have to get into the teens before you find someone Goldberg is better then, and I like Goldberg.

Sadly that Pierroth mask match is so badly clipped in the third fall that it is hard to follow what is happening in the match. We can only hope that a watchable version of that match surfaces some day.

Deathmatch Wrestling: How much is Too Much?

Are Allie and Justice even feuding? I wrote up the Sami Callihan vs. Danny Havok match in my book, and that ends with Callihan slicing Havok's wrist to set up a move off of a scaffold, but that was the culmination of a violent feud. I mean Magnum TA tried to jab out Tully's eye with a broken chair leg, I mind it much less in that context, but something in the middle of a random tag with no backstory seems like a bad idea
