He has been on a hellacious run since returning from rehab, the Danielson match was a career match for sure, and he has been having great matches both in AEW and seemingly every week on the indies. He has added some Regalish touches to his ring work since the Blackpool Combat Club, and leading a blood renaissance. I thought the Deppen match last weekend was an under the radar banger, and the Busick and Tom Lawlor matches were killer bloodbaths.

Since we were talking about Necro's SHLAK match hurting him, just an FYI that he is back, recovered from cancer and basically looking like Necro Butcher again. He had two pretty rad deathmatches in XPW, I wrote up the Hoodfoot match for the Ringer, the Big Joe match was two minutes long, but a fun two minutes. His other two matches against Blaine Evans and Travis Dykes were normal brawls which Necro looked good but his opponents were pretty low rate, both are on youtube and fun watches https://www.theringer.com/2022/4/11/23019761/bron-breakker-gunther-jon-moxley-wheeler-yuta-necro-butcher-hoodfoot-best-matches

Jon Moxley Considering some guys who have nomination threads, pretty crazy he isn't at least nominated. Wasn't a particularly big fan of his in the WWE, but he does have those Shield matches which were the best stuff in the world when they were happening. Is clearly in his prime now, and has been on a hellacious run. since returning from rehab, both in AEW and on the Indies, where he is seemingly having blood soaked classics weekly. vs. Regal 10/13/11 Shield vs. Wyatt Family 2/23/14 Shield vs. Wyatt Family 3/3/14 vs. Danielson 3/6/22 vs. Busick 3/31/22 vs. Lawlor 4/3/22 Anarchy in the Arena 5/29

What ridiculous punishment did he take in the Darby match? All the big spots in that match were by Darby

I would be shocked if we don't get a Punk vs. Joe match at some point.

The New Japan shows in the US are almost AEW vs. NJ shows already, the DC show has Mox vs. Tanahasi, Ishii vs. Kingston and Brody King vs. Suzuki as it's three main matches.

Punk called out like 20 people on Twitter for a match, Penta was the least interesting of them.

It's a fine main event for a show which started at like 1am Eastern.

Obviously a guy who had his US career derailed by immigration issues, and his style isn't really my thing, but for a guy who does that kind of highspot heavy style, he is damn good at it, and seems to be a guy who is getting a bunch of opportunities now that he has his Visa. I wrote up his ACH match for the Ringer last week and for car crash wrestling it was about as good as it gets. https://www.theringer.com/2022/2/14/22933102/hangman-page-lance-archer-creed-brothers-grizzled-young-veterans-speedball-bailey-ach-best-matches

There is a Lawler vs. Rich match from a GA indy fed which is worth tracking down, I think it was on Will's Lawler set so it is out there
