  1. I think Ospreay will be the issue in the Omega match. I'm not an Omega fan but I can appreciate what he does.
  2. It more or less fell apart after WCW. It's not all fair since he was given such a high prospect status from the time he debuted but he never reached the heights that guys with his talent should. He was very good early in his career, reached free agency, signed a big deal, and played 6-7 years of average play as an every day center fielder for a mid level MLB team.
  3. Yea, that was not his best match at all. If you have a chance, watch the ROH Vikingo match. They start with actual lucha mat work and then get to the high spots.
  4. Konan might be the booker with the best talent but at the absolute worst match making skills. Vikingo in a four way with Swerve Strickland and Rich Swann? Neither of those guys will be over beyond the typical gringo heat that most foreigners get. Incredible booking.
  5. Main event was very good. Pretty sure it's not transcendent but I thought Vikingo looked as good as anyone making their debut in a big promotion.
  6. Memphis is a ton of fun. Like any wrestling style, it is not for everyone. But if you like good storylines, action very much ahead of its time, and probably the best studio wrestling TV show of all time, you should check it out. October 1985 - April 1986 is an awesome run with Lawler, Dundee, Koko Ware, Dutch Mantel, Buddy Landel, Fantastics...... But it isn't always the best idea to start with the best. Maybe check out the 8/25/77 Lawler vs Dundee hair match, the 6/6/83 Lawler vs Dundee Loser Leaves Town match (and studio build up show which is fantastic) and then pick and choose before you get to late 1985.
  7. Volador Jr vs. Rocky Romero from a few weeks ago is worth watching, though it is not the ****3/4 match that Meltzer says it is.
  8. Not to pile on but this x10000. Seat belts improve your chances of being less hurt/living. Wear them.
  9. Unless it is dangerous bumps, injuries in sports happen and a lot of the time it is very random. A baseball team can have great health one year and then have poor health the next, with the variable being luck and fortune.
  10. Totally agree. I think the Mets jersey was a simple NL East rivalry thing since they were in Philly.
  11. Yea El Classico jdw. He's a Barcelona fan (or was the last time I talked to him).
  12. Enjoyed last night's episode. If they didn't switch the tag titles, the Takeshita loss would have been a misfire but you shouldn't do two of those near each other, nonetheless on the same show.
