Gulak v Busick from 4/27 last year might be the best CZW match ever.

Actually looking back over my list, it's amazing how few guys have fallen off of it in the last fifteen or twenty picks. There is still one guy who I feel has been MASSIVELY undervalued, but the only way I could pick him up at this point is if I had the right pairing for him and that pairing would be at least three picks removed from where I am now on my depth chart.

At this point im worrying much less. My sleeper and backup are still on the board, plus my other 4 "wants." It's feasible I could end up with half of them.

In terms of star power, the Baron is a good pick for this late in the draft.

Guys I was strongly looking at were falling as early as round 2 and 3. The idea that I could have gotten my ideal roster by not picking one guy really doesn't conform to reality. In fact there was one individual pick that really forced my hand a bit, as I was hoping to pick one guy to set up a feud and ended up going with another that probably looked "un-Portlandlike" to some people. The funny thing is if you had told me at the beginning of this "you can pick any three Portland guys from the period of time where we have an abundance of Portland footage for the purposes of this project" it is very possible my choices would have been Rose, Starr and Colt. Only Wiskowski would compete with those three, but I honestly thought Ed would fall one round farther than he did.

The expansion idea isn't set in stone at all, though I think it is virtually impossible to run the Portland territory as it was constituted in 83 with 25 full time guys. You either expand or you have a huge glut problem or you have to completely change the way you do t.v. Having said that, there is really only one pick that I can honestly say was made solely with an eye toward expansion, and it's not as if that person can't be fit into a traditional Portland framework.

Just went through the list one more time and there are a handful of REALLY strong picks in terms of stardom/value in 83. The problem with them is that for the most part they only fit a small number of promotions, and mine isn't one of them. Still there is one guy I am tempted to pick just because I'm pretty sure I could set up a red hot angle with him using scrubs as surrounding pieces.

I actually have a really bad feeling that peachchaos is going to take the guy I am hoping falls to me. I have a back up plan I could live with, but I hope it doesn't come to that. There is still a lot of time before I pick again.

I find it hilarious that Kris went to bed early because he thought there was no way his pick would get in tonight, and now he's going to have to rush to get it in on time in the morning.

BCB isn't really around and isn't really a comedy character either. Castle is comedic but is intended to be taken seriously. I think. Romantic Touch is considerably worse than Cheeseburger in my view.

Bingo. Your roster can be great but if you can't book it won't mean shit. In some cases not getting guys has saved me from myself. My idea of booking Wiskowksi and The Moondogs as white nationalist babyfaces in Idaho and heels in Oregon was probably ill advised.
