Stevie dressed as Scotty Flamingo is funny. This is different than what Raven would become in a few months.

[1995-01-09-WWF-Raw] King's Court: William Shatner
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1995
This is one of my first Raw memories. Also pop for Shatner's monkey flip. -
I don't know why Razor is so happy with Bret running in and interfering in his match? HBK wasn't too bad on commentary.

[1995-01-08-WCW-Main Event] Arn Anderson vs Johnny B. Badd
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1995
Awful finish with Badd jobbing to a shoulder block? And Gene's outrage was funny. " I'm so outraged, I want you to call the hotline tonight".- 5 replies

I didn't like the match too much but the post match with Terry acting like FMW Onita was awesome. Kinda sad to see Funk in matches like this.

Chael Sonnen - still the world's greatest carny!

That promo reminded me of this: So who is the best promo guy in the company? Dana? -
Lawler has a great line about how he doesn't want DWG cause she "has been around more than a carousel". This is pretty much 1996 USWA heel Lawler but it's funny. DWB is in the corner with a bunch of clothes while Lawler laughs at him.

[1995-01-07-USWA-TV] Tommy Rich & Doug Gilbert and PG-13
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1995
I like how the studio is a mix between the old early 90's look and the later 90s set. Scott Bowden was awesome as Rich and Gilbert's manager. Teasing the crowd with his FSU hat. Nice brawl and interview from PG13 -
I really enjoyed this. Maybe not as much as Loss but it was entertaining. Really liked Takako and Sakie the most. I also liked that every fall meant something and the partners broke up pinfalls in the first. That's a problem I have with most 2/3 falls matches these days is the first 2 falls mean nothing at the end. Only problem I had with this was the finish. I mean after all that, that move is the one that finishes the match?

I wonder if it has something to do with Miz doing the "NO H8" picture with Maryse a couple months back? Vince being a hardcore republican can't like that. -

[1995-01-04-NJPW-Battle 7] Shinya Hashimoto vs Kensuke Sasaki
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1995
I agree with Loss. Just a war and Hashimoto might be my favorite New Japan guy of the 90s. Nice to see Inoki make an appearance at the end.- 8 replies

Muto mocking Rick's barking while having Scott in a hold was funny. I didn't like this as much as Loss but the final stretch was pretty fun. At least the crowd got into it at the end.

[1995-01-04-NJPW-Battle 7] El Samurai vs Shinjiro Otani
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1995
I liked Otani's dive to the outside where he got some good air. Other than that, I wasn't feeling the match too much. -
It looked like he was a cross between Kimo and Lorenzo "Renegade" Lamas.

Anyone else follwing the Dana White vs Internet drama on Twitter? First UFC's site gets hacked and Dana White blows it off.. Next Dana challenges Anonymous to do it again and of course, they hack his person info. Then he goes on Twitter and actually acknowledges them and they go back and forth. Is Dana really this stupid and why don't the Fertittas try to put him in line. Really makes UFC look bush league. -
The Inoki IGF/Dream show.

Watching the full run of USA Pro Wrestling out of Knoxville from 1988. They were only around for less than a year. It was headlined by guys like The Bullet, Scott Armstrong, Doug Furnas, Mongolian Stomper, Ron Wright, Moondog Spot, Bill Dundee, Buddy Landell and other guys. Towards the end of the run, they brought in Wendall Cooley, Jerry Lawler, Tommy Rich and The Stormtrooper. Stormtrooper looked like Bill Dundee under a mask doing a nazi gimmick. He had the Swastika on his shirt, Swastika flag and even did the Hitler salute. Kinda shocked me that they did this in 88 even if it was the south. Funny thing is he was managed by Ron Wright and had Mr. Hughes as his bodyguard. I wonder what the last Nazi gimmick was in America? I know it's common in Mexico with Dr. Wagner and La Nazi.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Sting is the figure head of the promotion now so he'll probably be featured a lot. The main stars are Bobby Roode, James Storm, Kurt Angle, Mickie James, Jeff Hardy and I would guess Flair would be there too. I don't know how Hogan fits in since he hasn't really be around since Bound For Glory months ago. -
Wow Power Pro lasted till 04? Didn't they lose tv in 01? I liked the promotion even though Randy Hales hick Vince gimmick grew tiring as did Stone Cold Jerry Lawler.

I know this is about wrestlers but I got to include an announcer in Gordon Solie. I don't really get the love for him as best announcer of all time. He was good in the early 80s but man by 1988, he's a drunken mess. Just mumbled about the most useless stuff. Lance Russell is a thousand times better.
