According to Fightful, Jacob wasn't hurt he just decided to call an audible after missing the moonsault and decided to sell it like a legit injury. However Bronson Reed hurt one or possibly both of his ankles and Jimmy Uso broke his toe from them doing dives off the top of the cage. Maybe after that (plus Cody and Edge getting hurt doing it in AEW) we should just not do the dive off the cage spot.

TK must have bought the old WAR random 6 man generator, Private Party and Mistico vs MxM and Johnny TV was pretty fun.

Canada always seems to have interestingly shaped sporting arenas.

Bron is scary great you guys

I actually am a fan of Ludwig Kaiser, but he is not needed in this match at all. I would much rather watch Bron and Sheamus beat the piss out of each other.

You're not wrong but I would counter that the reason women tend to be treated more forgiving (even if it's subconsciously) is that it's barely been a a generation of women being allowed to taken seriously in mainstream pro wrestling.

big pop in my house for the fan with the "bengals suck" sign

I feel pretty confident the men's match is not going to be a lame plunder fest.

Say what you will, this match was mostly built on Rhea promising to murder Liv and they delivered.

Tiffy is great, as are Io and Candice (even though she's mostly booked as a jobber), and Naomi can hold up her end of the deal more often than not. Nia is vastly improved from how she was but somehow is still terrible. Bianca is the ace of the division establishing the tag scene. Her and Jade were great as basically the Lady Legion of Doom until Jade got hurt.

(just so TTK knows the lore, Liv caught Rhea slipping in the NXT parking lot and beat her face in with that bat)

Stephanie Vaquer better be calling gimmick infringement on Rhea's mask.

Dakota just came back, and Asuka is still out.

Jade got legit hurt so they needed to fill the spot, they actually pointed it out on the go home Smackdown and used it to build the drama in a "can this team keep it together" sense.

They are in Vancouver so clearly this is Chelsea Green's night.
-
They've been doing the bit where MVP is going around attempting to recruit the young folks, and him as the mouthpiece for someone who has all the tools but maybe isn't the greatest at promos yet could be money.

I felt Mauro actually did a good job reminding folks that this was a 58 year old in there. He was the voice of reason in the booth.

Holy shit Brody vs Claudio is gonna bang so hard

Personally I've been glad to see him get his due after being underappreciated in WWE for so long, and he's the perfect player/coach type who's older but can still go.

Tony should start cutting promos on GCW "Vince in Memphis" style.

So Ricky Starks was supposed to do 3 matches in GCW off of the promo he did (one was announced/advertised already), but AEW got mad about the company complaining about them booking Hammerstein so close to the GCW show and pulled him. I almost hope this is all part of some angle because it's stupid for GCW to get mad over it since ROH has run Final Battle in December for literal decades, and frequently in the Hammerstein.

Watching the Bloodsport show yesterday and it was wild to me to see wrestlers from the top 3 US companies on one show. Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, and Karmen Petrovic from NXT Marina Shafir (accompanied by Moxley), MVP, and Mike Bailey (who is rumored to have just signed) from AEW Josh Alexander, Masha Slamovich, Jody Threat, and Lei Ying Lee (the former Xia Li) from TNA As someone who came of age in an era where promotions never acknowledged the existence of others, it was blowing my mind.

By the way, does anyone think GCW is working with WWE? The opening match on GCW's halloween show had the women doing Undertaker and Stone cold cosplays complete with their theme music. Today's show had Kurt Angle an Mick Foley (who did an autograph signing earlier in the day) do a skit to open things up, and later on Ricky Starks showed up to cut a promo very much shitting on AEW without naming them (not proof they are working with WWE of course but you know WWE wasn't mad about it). I just find it funny considering how much they very much strive for the "gritty modern day ECW who tells the big companies to GFY" may secretly be on the payroll with the 'E like the actual ECW was.

I agree. I'm sure only the inner circle along with HBK/HHH knew all the details but the rest of the crew had to be smartened up to at least some level. It was really only a shoot in terms of how Wendi Richter being shoot pinned by Moolah was: everyone knew was was about to happen except for the victim
