No matter what else happens, them bringing back "Obsession" for SNME makes this show a success in my book.

She may have made up with La Rosa Negra, but this was not welcomed fondly by most of the TNA roster since she's never showed any sign of remorse for (allegedly) being a bully to everyone in a 10 mile radius. She tried to garner sympathy for her mental health issues after everything blew up, only for damn near every female wrestler on social media to clap back at her pointing out it was the consequences of her actions coming home to roost. Jordynne Grace was reportedly especially not pleased at this, and it seems like she's going to be feuding with Tessa before she leaves to go to WWE. Also the comparison with Punk has one tiny problem: Punk's a proven draw and merch seller and in wrestling (like all sports) you have more leeway to be a prick if you make money. If Tessa was some needle moving star then I could see it being worth the risk, but you're pissing off your locker room for someone who won't impact (lol see what I did there) business one bit.

Speaking of Toni Storm, she seemed to be caught off guard at the reaction to her returning and was visibly trying to hold back tears. Also forget the Rampage thing, why did she come back in her old gimmick? The Timeless bit seemed like it still had some life, and having Mariah just kill it by winning one mach seemed an almost disrespectful way to end something that was over.

its basically a scramble match where everyone tries to get pinfalls, and when someone gets pinned they go in the penalty box for 2 minutes. It sounds TNA as hell but it works.

Vaquer was CMLL women's champ, which didn't used to mean much, but the people running the company now have been making a solid attempt at making their women's division mean something. She had a cup of tea in AEW and had a banger with Mercedes, and her and (barring something unexpected happening) Gulia are going to set the new standard for women in NXT.

Having Lexis King cutting a promo outside in Minnesota vaguely referencing that his father died there was certainly a choice.

Oba Femi has returned to NXT and I almost forgot how money that guy is

Big E wrote something for the Player's Tribune, basically detailing his life story and the mental health issues he battled growing up. It's worth your time to take a few minutes to read. If it wasn't already clear, this makes it obvious why he's a great human being and so loved by everyone. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/big-e-ettore-ewen-wwe-wrestling

He followed his brother to TNA where so far the highlight has been Joe Hendry cutting a promo to his face calling him out for riding Dolph's coat tails.

That makes the show for me.

I can't tell if Eric keeps getting paydays for his podcast grift or because WWE still has a hard on over reminding everyone they beat WCW. Probably both if we're being honest.

NXT is doing a lot of interesting things, but Ava as GM is not one of them. I know it's not fair to compare her to her dad, but holy shit. She's at Erik Watts/David Flair levels of second generation dropoff.

I was kinda digging the idea of Big E as their manager, but yeah that was a great segment.

According to Fightful, Jacob wasn't hurt he just decided to call an audible after missing the moonsault and decided to sell it like a legit injury. However Bronson Reed hurt one or possibly both of his ankles and Jimmy Uso broke his toe from them doing dives off the top of the cage. Maybe after that (plus Cody and Edge getting hurt doing it in AEW) we should just not do the dive off the cage spot.

TK must have bought the old WAR random 6 man generator, Private Party and Mistico vs MxM and Johnny TV was pretty fun.

Canada always seems to have interestingly shaped sporting arenas.

Bron is scary great you guys
-
I actually am a fan of Ludwig Kaiser, but he is not needed in this match at all. I would much rather watch Bron and Sheamus beat the piss out of each other.
-
You're not wrong but I would counter that the reason women tend to be treated more forgiving (even if it's subconsciously) is that it's barely been a a generation of women being allowed to taken seriously in mainstream pro wrestling.

big pop in my house for the fan with the "bengals suck" sign

I feel pretty confident the men's match is not going to be a lame plunder fest.
-
Say what you will, this match was mostly built on Rhea promising to murder Liv and they delivered.

Tiffy is great, as are Io and Candice (even though she's mostly booked as a jobber), and Naomi can hold up her end of the deal more often than not. Nia is vastly improved from how she was but somehow is still terrible. Bianca is the ace of the division establishing the tag scene. Her and Jade were great as basically the Lady Legion of Doom until Jade got hurt.

(just so TTK knows the lore, Liv caught Rhea slipping in the NXT parking lot and beat her face in with that bat)
