I don't disagree. Maybe TK feels since he's getting a million dollar gate then refunding a few folks at the meet and greet is the cost of doing business? Really don't see how this can be anything else IMO, can't believe MJF (who was a pro on his way out of MLW when no one would have begrudged him to tell Court to GFY since he was getting an AEW deal) suddenly being shoot unprofessional over something two years away.
-
What's really amusing is if this was all 100% shooty shoot shoot stuff, MJF's deal runs through 2023 and he still has some folks thinking he's gonna show up on Raw in like a month or two.
-
The great thing about this is that he's clearly working an angle based on real life feelings and EVERYONE is going to bite on this like MJF is going to no show the PPV or something despite it being totally his gimmick to not want to be around smelly wrestling fans. Greatest worker of our time.

I had family with first had experience with WWII so I had more info growing up than most, but yeah my first memory of hearing about it outside of them was Captain America punching Hitler.

I mean, Britt was doing a bit but the answer to the question is "usually no, and when it's yes just barely".

Man, speaking of Rampage I just rewatched the First Dance episode and god damn the Punk return still hits me in the feels. It reminded me how there was no way they could possibly turn him heel no matter how much he's technically better that way as a character. The idea that one of wrestling's most infamous grumpy assholes can have his "you can go home again" moment but in real life and as a wrestling storyline was just one of the best things I've ever seen on a wrestling show. Between Punk noticeably getting hit hard by the emotion when he came out and the famous Crying CM Punk Fan shot, just the pure catharsis of 7 years was tangible. It's even more amazing in retrospect in how the meat of his return speech was how his last day in ROH was the day he considers when he left professional wrestling and now it's owned by TK.

Amazing how when people are charismatic, they start to get a reaction.

I hope Bowens is around despite his injury. I died at "scissor me, daddy ass!"

The Lakers colored TNT title is sharp as hell.

The crowd chanting "you still got it" at the Hardy Bucks cracked me up. Best ever use of that chant/

Rey was at the wedding too, weird seeing the pic with him in it and how he looks like a 15 year old with a salt and pepper devil beard.

Someone said Shanky looks like a giant Michael Jackson and I can't unsee it.

Wow, there's a What If scenario if Vince and the family never patched things up.

Actually kind of surprised they didn't keep selling her merch and just not pay out her cut, they did that with Punk if I'm remembering correctly.

TK on Twitter with the less-than-subtle dunking on how stupid it is to run a stadium show against UFC during FIght Week is *chef's kiss* I love that after all these years WWE's main competition is run by a DVDVR shitposter.
-
They could have just let it run out whenever it was originally supposed to, but WWE seems to think the only option is to lock folks in forever.
-
Funny thing is WWE is cutting their own noses off here, since I'm sure Sasha was a big merch seller.
-
They were hoping to sell 30k tickets and barely got over half that, considering it's July 4th weekend (which drives up the cost of flights) and UFC is doing a show at the same time basically across the street. They didn't want the visual of a half empty stadium, I don't think there was much more to it than that.
-
That's where I'm at too. Obviously the honeymoon period of "wow a real competitor" is mostly over at this point, the feeling that TK is at least trying to book to make the fans happy is such a different experience than WWEs endless HEAT shows.

Fell into a rabbit hole of Southwest Championship Wrestling (as you do), and found out that the owners of the footage have a streaming service at wrestlinglegendsnetwork.tv which I hadn't heard of before. It's got a bunch of territory stuff WWE doesn't have ownership of, and while I'm sure a lot of us have the DVDVR sets this seems like a decent place to see stuff that doesn't pop up anywhere else.

The Islanders pretty much ran their course at that point, and I suppose he just wanted to move on. I never heard of there being any issues and the family pretty much has jobs for life if they want, so I would think he just wanted to go to greener pastures.

This sounds horrible to say, but Hangman really lost a lot of momentum when he took a break for the birth of his child. So much happened while he was gone that by the time he came back he was already an afterthought and all his programs since have felt tacked on. I'm not saying he shouldn't have taken the time off, but in retrospect the whole damn promotion seemed to lap him.
-
Yeah he had a bad hamstring injury, I suppose God took the feud personally and did a Horsemen beatdown on him.

WWE just announced Money in the Bank has been moved from Allegiant Stadium in Vegas to the MGM Grand Arena. Apparently they only had about 17k tickets sold for a stadium show, which is..... not great.

Yeah but when they did that with the TNT title people started screaming they "ruined" the title so you can't win either way it seems.
