  1. It's time, it's time, its SHANKY TIME
  2. Shocked they haven't put the clamps on him after the Big E incident, pretty sure he dropped someone on their head in NXT too. Also I guess Max Du PREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE's gimmick is a guy who doesn't respect anyone's personal spance?
  3. My favorite bit of trivia is that Eiffel built the framework for the Statue of Liberty, so one of the greatest symbols of MURICA is basically another Eiffel Tower holding a torch
  4. I think I would risk having a reaction to the fire extinguisher chemicals over, y'know, having my leg burn off.
  5. The argument that Tony is letting the veterans do whatever stupid shit they want seems to fly in the face of the fact he took full control of the booking *because* the EVPs were doing whatever the fuck they they want to the point of the famous not-yet-over Dark Order beatdown show closing angle. I think it's far more likely that between AEW, the Jaguars trying to pull themselves out of the sewer, Fullham returning to the Premier League, and whatever the hell he's trying to do with ROH, he's reached the point where even Adderall isn't enough anymore.
  6. Matt Hardy on his podcast said Jeff got KO'd early in the match with the Bucks and doesn't remember any of it, so that explains why he was so slow.
  7. In today's "lolwut?" news, Samoa Joe got the role as Sweet Tooth in a Twisted Metal series airing on Peacock.
  8. Now in a hilarious turn, she's trying to be all HAPPY PRIDE YALL the day after
  9. and you CAN'T TEACH THAT Sorry, I'll see myself out now
  10. Saw someone call her MAGA Thee Stallion and lol'd mightily
  11. Caffeine is analogous to speed the same way a house cat is analogous to a lion. Same family, sure, worlds of difference.
  12. Yeah that's a pretty big jump to make, caffeine =/= speed
  13. Considering (as we saw at the post show press scrum) TK is a walking encyclopedia of wrestling history, I'd expect him to play it more like Heyman did than WCW.
  14. I mean it sounded like he was venting some real frustrations, and even got the crowd cheering for him which has never happened outside of Long Island. I think a lot (all maybe?) of us have Russo PTSD and immediately have a kneejerk reaction to anything that teeters toward the shooty shoot side. This seemed more like Brian Pillman than Russo to me. I didn't think there was anything wrong with what he said, and for everyone to be all aghast about what he said after we spent all weekend wondering if he'd even be at the PPV seems disingenuous. Clearly him and Tony ironed some things out, and I'm willing to "let this play out" since unlike WWE they don't have a track record of fucking everything up in the end.
  15. Jesus Christ that stairs bump
  16. Interesting how everyone is making Austin/McMahon comparisons when that MJF promo gave me strong "Ric Flair going off on Eric Bischoff" vibes.
  17. SCISSOR ME DADDY ASS!
  18. Lana tweeted about suddenly wanting to go to Dynamite this week, could we finally be getting Miro back?
  19. Speaking of injuries, both Jeff Hardy (who was banged up from the Darby match despite the cut and paste sites clickbaiting that it was his other issues cropping up) and Adam Cole are out of the 10 man tag on Dynamite, replaced by Darby and Hikuleo respectively.
  20. To me, things not going as planned all the time kinda makes it better for me in a weird way since it makes it look more realistic. Shit happens in life and everything in a wrestling match with world title stakes going perfectly makes it look more choreographed to me. Real fights have been around long enough for everyone to see sometimes things don't go as planned and it's not the end of the world. Also Punk pretty much saved Hangman's life by hanging on to him when he slipped off the turnbuckle when they did the superplex spot. Page was heading for a nasty looking fall until Punk grabbed him and made it look like they were struggling for the move while Hangman regained his footing.
  21. Bigger/heavier people tend to hit harder since they have more size to put behind their blows, but we've seen plenty of big folks get dusted in boxing and MMA by people smaller than them. If Doudrop was pushed as a no selling monster, this would probably be less of a debate, but she works pretty much like everyone else and the only time size seems to be a factor is that it made Vince see her as Bertha Faye 2022. By the way, speaking of Alexa her Twitter has been interesting recently. First she shot back at Corey Graves saying it looked like she was coasting on commentary last week on Raw, then she responded to a fan saying they missed her old gimmick with "I do too". She was another one who was put on ice due to creative not having anything for a while, and it seems she may not be thrilled with the plan after all this time was just "go back to the old you but keep carrying the doll".
  22. If that photo is any indication, then he should be known more for his tremendous suit game than anything he did in wresting, god damn. He's someone who I first became familiar with from playing a shit load of Virtual Pro Wrestling on the N64, and ended up being my gateway to tape trading. I remember how it was the obvious spectacle of FMW deathmatches that would get my attention, only to find out "wow, this guy's pretty good in the midst of all this shit blowing up".
  23. Yes, how could the AOP have known there might be some logistical issues with running an event in the UK the weekend they are celebrating the first monarch in their history to rule for 70 years. Those things just kind of sneak up on you.
  24. Bruh I used to be over 300 at one point and it didn't make having a 100 lb weight on my midsection feel any better.
  25. also I realized when Pretty Deadly came out with the bandanas and cut up shirts they were dressed almost exactly like the Rock n Roll Express circa 1985
